The Hoot

SamRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Just back from a magical honeymoon stay at The Hoot—absolutely fabulous….. even better than the photos. The energy is incredible: soul-soothing, serene, and full of love. Every detail has been thought of, with quirky decor and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and soaking in the outdoor tub during a rainstorm was amazing. Jan and Dunc are kind, thoughtful hosts who give you complete space to fully unwind. Can’t imagine anyone regretting a stay here and we will definitely return ✨🌿🛁

Guildhall Barn, Wedmore, a traditional homely barn

MarkRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Really lovely place. We had a great stay at Guildhall Barn. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. At the beginning of our stay the weather was quite cold but the barn was really warm. Nice and quiet location. Ideally situated for touring around Somerset, Wells is very close by and Wedmore is a great place, lots of good pubs, places to eat and excellent walks from the front door. Wendy was very helpful and welcoming, nice touches like a fire laid in the wood burner ready for lighting and a welcome bottle of wine! We had a perfect stay here, many thanks Wendy.

Cosy Country Cottage near Cheddar Gorge (2)

LoreleiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved the cottage as soon as we arrived. It was exactly as described and was a perfect home from home during our 4 days in Somerset, which we hadn't properly been to with both children. Sara was really communicative from the point of booking, which felt really welcoming before we even got there. Clear instructions for check in were provided well in advance. The cottage was spotless and had everything a family of 4 would need for a stay. The grounds were so peaceful and my children loved being able to play on their private field above the cottages. The guest book provided lots of useful information and local honey, jam and apple juice was left as a welcome gift (devoured quickly!) It was a great base to explore all we had planned for our 4 day stay and would 100% stay again. It's truly idyllic and you can see how much effort they have put in to the cottages and their grounds. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Sara and family. Lorelei, Bradley, Sidney & Arthur

Modern 2 bedroom cottage adjacent to orchard

PaulRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My wife and daughter walked into the annex and both said " Oh wow". Yes we are first time Aibnb users but have travelled globally as well as in the UK. Veey friendly host ( dogs and shetland sheep included), lively dwelling made even better with large covered BBQ area. Local pubs (not walkable) are very wellcoming catering to all tastes. For basic pub grub and a warm welcome try the New Inn pub 5 mins away.
