The Old Baptist Chapel, Stogumber.

JudyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a really great place to stay. The house was very clean, with a very well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. Being a converted chapel makes it an interesting building to stay in and the open-plan living area was great for us as a large family gathering as we could all cook, chat and hang out together. Stogumber village is very picturesque and friendly and the local area is great for walks. Finally, Russ is a super host, very friendly and helpful and we were greeted with a wonderful welcome pack.

Counting Sheep Shepherd Hut

Great spot, loved the hot tub and the thoughtful touches. Very peaceful area. Worth noting for those with mobility issues that parking is down a farm track and you can’t park near the Shepards hut so need to get a lift with Karen/carry luggage and food up the track if she’s not available.

Luxurious get away for walking fishing relaxing

AngRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a beautiful place for a few days of peace- and quiet apart from the sound of beautiful birds and the river. The views were spectacular and the river at the bottom of the field was incredible. Some lovely walks on thedoorstep. Felt so welcoming as we walked in with delicious scones; jam and Devonshire clotted cream along with lovely fresh flowers on the side; beautiful touches. Could not fault it; soft fluffy towels; extremely comfy bed and lovely soft furnishings. Very cosy indeed. The weather wasn’t brilliant so spoilt our break slightly but did manage to have a few drinks in the evening on the patio along with coffee in the morning listening ti the bird song. Did the circular walk a couple of times into Dulverton and ate at the local pub; stunning walk through the forest and along the river. Tarr Steps is also worth visiting- the river agin is spectacular and so nice that our Lab could paddle safely in the shallow water. Had a wonderful break and would definitely come back.

Gorgeous Quantock Cottage

DanielRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay. My wife and I, along with our two young children + 2 dogs loved the location. The surroundings are stunning, especially if looking for somewhere quiet, secluded and close to nature/long walks. The property was excellent inside and out and exactly as described. We met the lady who owns the property, who was very helpful and friendly. Would love you stay again in the future.

The Chapel, Brompton Regis

TeresaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The Chapel is quiet, calming and simply beautiful. The surroundings are stunning, I could sit and watch the lambs and sheep outside all day. Owners, Kevin and Lynne made us feel at home straight away with a lovely hamper full of goodies, freshly made scones and some essentials to get us started. Kevin popped in to say hello and to ask if there's anything else we may need. The Chapel has everything you want for a relaxing stay including large towels, toiletries, a wonderful shower and comfortable sofa and chairs. The bed was a little too firm for me but my daughter slept well. The kitchen is well equipped including a coffee machine and milk frother which we loved. The location is wonderful although you do need a car. There is a local village shop with limited opening hours but you would need to drive to everything else. That said, there are shops, pubs and cafes within a 10 minute drive. There are many local walks through the beautiful countryside which are well worth doing.
