It was converted several years ago into a detached dwelling which is now available for you to use exclusively. ‘Bonny Strathyre’ is often nicknamed ‘the gateway to the Highlands’ and is an ideal location for ramblers, cyclists, hill walkers, folk touring Scotland, for those who just want time to relax and to ‘get away from it all’ or maybe just to spend quality time with friends/ family. The Skipper’s Hut is located in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, in the beautiful Braes of Balquhidder. It sits on a wooded knoll overlooking Loch Voil. In earlier times, the hut was used by the skipper of the estate’s electric launch for trips on special occasions.
