Balmore, Main Street, Killin

StephenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lived up to expectations and photos, reviews ect prior to arrival were fair and accurate. Nothing to do with Julie, be aware that the local restaurants offered a different menu to what was actually on websites apart from The Courie Inn which was spot on. Again nothing to do with the Balmore which was spot on. Brilliant location, four male adults who used it as a base for hillwalking, golf and offering our views on nearly every drink available in Killin. Highly recommend

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. The house is beautiful and in a great location right next to the water. Everything is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The views over the water are so relaxing. The Kilcreggan cafe and The Creggans pub serve lovely food. The decking area outside is great to sit and relax. Highly recommend!

Luxury Waterside Lodge on Loch Lomond, Scotland

JaniceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We can't say enough about Mel, our host. He is a SUPER, Super host. He met us at the house, explained all the nuances of running the appliances, coffee maker, etc. I have stayed in many AirBnb's, and this was the most well stocked home yet; bread, coffee, snacks,OJ, Milk, lots of spices, and just about everything to get you started. The view from the porch is stunning. The house was immaculate in cleanliness and decorating. An added bonus; the hotter. Just can't say enough. I highly recommend this property. Janice

Stables-Unique & Comfortable Space for a getaway

PhilipRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked this apartment at the last minute because the west turned soon after we arrived in Scotland. It is located at the end of a private driveway in the middle of countryside with beautiful views of Ben Lawers and the surrounding mountains, approx 1 mile from Killin. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bathroom and kitchen are modern, functional and well equipped. The double bed was very comfortable and there was absolutely no noise to disturb our peace. Weather permitting there is a pleasant space to sit/eat in the communal gardens. There is a lovely walk along the old estate roads and warm track into Killin (approx20 minutes). There is a good coop in the village and several pubs/hotels and a couple of restaurants. Killin is a pleasant village and there are several attractions within an hours drive. Norma is an excellent host. She was easy to contact and gave the impression that nothing was to much trouble for her. She replied promptly to all our communications.

The Hive in picturesque Killin

JaniceRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The location was perfect for doing day trips in the area and Killin was a really cute town to come back to. We had a really nice meal at the Killin Hotel a few steps away and groceries were also really close. The setup was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 adult children as we had 3 comfortable beds. Can’t complain about a thing and Dee was very nice to work with!

Welcome at the West Highland Way

AshishRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Lovely place if you are a small family or bunch of friends. The place had everything - beautiful outdoors and neat indoors. The view from the place is breathtaking. Ticked all the boxes that we were looking for - proper parking, outdoor activities, fully functional kitchen, all indoor amenities. Andrew greeted us warmly and we felt right at home. This place also has some of the friendliest cats that just love cuddling all day. Highly recommend this stay if you are looking to stay in a countryside place close to Glasgow.

The Monarch Lomond Castle Loch Lomond L/N AR00260F

ErinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were so grateful to Anne for hosting us at such late notice. We had a lovely time at the apartment, walking down the beautiful path to the loch, our daughters loved seeing the bunnies hopping around on the lawn in the evening! The apartment was clean, comfy and we had everything we needed. Perfectly located to spend some time in Luss, where we did the fairy trail walk and had both lunch and dinner in the village. Loch Lomond was one of our favourite places we have visited in Scotland. Anne was always quick to respond and a very friendly and helpful host.

Crescent Cottage Luss Loch Lomond

SheilaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Crescent Cottage is a perfect oasis. The location is perfect. You are walking distance to shops, restaurants and the water, however the best part of this cottage is the backyard. It is beautiful and so peaceful. We spent so much time sitting out back and enjoying the quiet and the gardens. The cottage itself is very charming. The pictures don’t do it justice. It had everything we needed and it was very comfortable and clean. The history behind it is incredible. We had the honour of meeting Christine and her husband. They were beyond welcoming and so friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Luss. It was a real pleasure.

Cottage retreat in wooded secluded private grounds

JasonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Location wise this place is incredible, the cottage was well equipment, although it has heating (which I believe is based on additional costs) and a fire the cottage had hard wooden floors throughout, It did get cold very quickly. Also the extra cost at £150 for the week for our dog feels excessive. With the above said it was an amazing stay. Thanks again

Our stay in this charmingly furnished and superbly located cottage was a delight. We were fortunate to have sunny, warm weather in May which added to our daughter’s enjoyment of the hot tub. We thoroughly recommend the fine dining at Monachyle Mhor where the staff excel at welcoming hospitality. It was an added pleasure to meet Tom and Lisa in person.

Really lovely little cottage, very peaceful location and stunning views out the back. Kitchen beatiful and stocked with the essentials (salt, pepper, oil, plenty of pots and pans). Only slight downside would be a very squeaky bed, comfortable enough but noisy.

Idyllic Woodland Lodge 1 hour from Edinburgh

IanRating, 5 stars1 day ago
First of all can I just say what a beautiful cottage this is, you certainly will not be disappointed. We had a fantastic week here beginning with the lovely welcome gifts left by Kate. We made full use of the opportunity to walk our dog across the farm and the surrounding area, he loved it. Far enough away for a complete relaxing get away, but close enough to all the attractions of central Scotland to fill your days. We fully intend to return next year. Thank you
