Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sterling Forest, Greenwood Lake

Such a beautiful spot on the lake!!! We had the most beautiful weekend, the kids loved he pool and the boats, nothing was missing! We would have stayed another week! Jennifer and Jose answered all our messages within a few minutes and were super accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at this place for our mini moon. It was relaxing, beautifully decorated, well stocked with everything you need! The hosts were very responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! For anyone coming from NYC we stoped at Pho Tibet in New Paltz for lunch on the way home and the food was amazing!

My family of 8 adults needed a place to stay near a wedding at Glynwood. This wonderful spot was minutes away from the farm and town. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone the privacy desired while the well equipped kitchen and living rooms had plenty of space for gathering. The house and land are beautiful, including the trail. Paula was easy to communicate with and my whole family felt comfortable and happy with the spot. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I stayed at Lambs hill to celebrate our anniversary. We had the most wonderful time. The views are breathtaking. The wrap around deck with jacuzzi and hammock made our stay calming and serene. I loved seeing the horses and donkeys throughout the day. They made the experience even more special and unique. Charlotte was super responsive and accommodating. We took cabs to Main Street at night for dinner and drinks and it was so close and convenient. I left my heart in lambs hill and can’t wait to return one day.

Hidden gem. Really appreciated the countryside accommodation. The hot tub was nice and hot and we enjoyed a fire right after. The stores were in a close enough proximity if needed. My fiancé was skeptical as it’s right next to another property but we had are own space and we were not disturbed. Also we enjoyed the fresh eggs and being able to bring our fur babies.

Great location on the lake. House has all you need. Boat dock, several decks and chairs, ping pong table, kayaks and option power boat rental. Only issue for perhaps the elderly and handicapped would be the amount of stairs required for entry and lake access.

Julie's place was the perfect winter getaway. The fireplace, hot tub and sauna warmed us and the very well-equipped kitchen enabled us to prepare great meals. The house was beautiful, with two living rooms for different activities and energy levels, a game room downstairs, a dining room with a large table and chairs, and comfortable furniture and beds throughout. Julie texted me to make sure that our every need was met. We had a snow and ice storm, and she had the driveway and walkways plowed, shoveled and sanded twice, and kept plenty of salt on-hand. We hope to return sometime in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pond, too.

We had a nice time staying. It has a Well stocked kitchen. It is near to grocery and shopping in Stone Ridge. It has Great fireflies at night and a good view of the sunset.

It’s a really sweet location on a working organic farm. The stairs to get to the loft are definitely for the agile, but otherwise it’s a nice little lay-out.

Our stay here was excellent. The guesthouse is beautiful and very conveniently located. It is a short walk to the train station and near many restaurants and a grocery store. Also, the host was very responsive. If I return to Yonkers, I would happily stay here again.

Mark is a great host. Very responsive and proactive in checking in to see how things are going and if there’s anything you need. The space is very cool—historic and decorated accordingly. Although an older house, kept very clean and in working order which is more than I can say for a lot of the more moderns places nowadays where we’ve stayed. The location is a bit tucked away affording you some nice privacy. Would definitely recommend and great for families as well.

We loved the place, it was a beautiful home with lots of light and accessible green space. It was perfect for a short getaway. It’s a short drive from nearby towns and was very easy to find based on the directions. Mark was a responsive and accommodating host and we had a wonderful time in his airbnb.

Really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful farm. The location was very convenient to Bear Mountain State Park / the Appalachian Trail. The sound of the frogs at the nearby pond and the friendly horses really make this place a gem. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

This place is truly a gem! We enjoyed swimming in the waterfalls and relaxing under the trees. We can’t wait to return. The house is also lovely with lots of interesting and quirky touches that we enjoyed. Incredibly well stocked kitchen and everything we could want!

We have stayed at Erik's place 4 or 5 times now. It's perfect, has everything you need. It is centrally located to surrounding towns. Erik and his parents are very friendly and always responsive. I highly recommend staying there!

Jessica and Kate's place is so wonderful! It was very clean, full of personality, and very well stocked -- lots of toiletries, kitchen utensils, and appliances. I had a logistical issue that kept me from checking out on time and they were incredibly understanding and communicated very well. Thanks so much and I hope to return soon!

Spent a weekend here with friends and had an awesome time. Yevgeniy was extremely accommodating, and responded to any questions very quickly. I would 100% come back.

This A-frame escape was exactly what I needed — the perfect break from the city. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches. The jacuzzi was absolutely incredible, especially under the stars at night, and the A-frame structure made the whole stay feel like a peaceful retreat.

Had a very enjoyable time during my stay. Hosts were very helpful, friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Gave lots of great recommendations for dinner spots and shopping. The house was very comfortable, clean, and cute. Will definitely be booking again!

The place worked perfectly for what I had needed. Travel a lot for work, and this time my wife and son came to visit for a few days of the stay. Host was very nice and helped us with accommodations and recomendations of local eateries. Very much enjoyed our time here, would stay again.

Perfect location — it’s directly in the middle of Minnewaska State Park and downtown New Paltz. Stargazing in the hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a long hike.

Lisa’s place was fun and relaxing for our family. Great place to relax and unwind all while being close to the great areas we visited. Lisa was a great host ❤️

Our stay at Boris and Tina’s place was fantastic! The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Tina was very accommodating and was flexible with check in time. She provided all the instructions very clearly before we checked in. We can’t wait to come back again!
