Property is gated, guest have there own access and free to roam the property. We like to give guest there own space, however either myself or a staff member are always available and happy to help. Visit the Huguenot Memorial Museum to learn about local history. Uber is recently available in Franschhoek but does have a limited presence (after 11pm/12pm). Rosemary cottage is one of three cabins which rest on the edge of a lake in the heart of the Banhoek conservancy. It is a light filled, modern cabin with a wood fired hot tub, direct access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the western cape. Although it is intended as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for a small extra fee. There is an infrared sauna below the dam for you to use.

Wine Farm Cottage

The cottage offers guests an unique opportunity to stay on a rustic working wine farm. It forms part of the farmstead of a historic wine farm, but has its own little garden with a view over vineyards. It is located on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, which makes it the ideal place to reside when exploring the many surrounding wineries and restaurants. The road may be a bit noisy, but most guests hear birds more often than they hear cars. The cottage was built in the 1980’s.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave and Nespresso coffee maker. The cottage has its own private terrace overlooking the large rim flow pool. The pool is situated on it's own large terrace and is shared with Olive cottage. We are ideal for guests who enjoy wine tours, the outdoors, hiking and biking plus horse riding.

Stonewall guest suite

This guest suite is set on a working wine farm in the winelands between Somerset West and the historic town Stellenbosch. It is situated in what used to be the stables and has since been converted to a tasting room and guest suite. The suite consists of a big, airy room, a separate kitchenette and a bathroom. It has its own front porch with a view over the farmstead and it is adjacent to a chicken coop.
