The Blacksmith's Workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his little adjacent house. Recently renovated in a contemporary key, it has become a residence on two floors of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, amenities and a wine pantry, accessible by a wooden staircase with stairs. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the studio is organized. The balustrade becomes the countertop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor are the two en suite bedrooms. The floors are made of resized concrete and part with reclaimed concrete pork tiles; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Special are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings of a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, wifi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, flights with ultralights and bike rentals. Golfing is less than a 25-minute drive at the gorgeous Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites in Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave of Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eưa Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) Must visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (the most beautiful village in Italy 2016), the literary park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "cretto of Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone of Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to the Falcone Borsellino airports in Palermo and Trapani Birgi both within an hour's drive.
