The place is overall awesome - just don’t miss the fact there isn’t air conditioning - I didn’t notice that in the listing, and there happened to be a hot day. The hot tub isn’t quite private. One set of neighbors or folks turning down the side road can see you. However, it was very comfortable, especially on a cool evening.

Pictures don’t do it justice! The place is super adorable and relaxing. Great views and vibes. Personal touches that make you feel like you’re visiting a friends home instead of an Airbnb. Highly recommend!

The cabin was amazing! Wifi was great, hot tub was nice. Other reviews noted the humidity/heat in the house, but we had no such issues on this rainy week. The only thing is that the GPS will bring you to the back entrance to the community, which is gated and you can't enter. Make sure you read their welcome instructions as this was noted! Overall a wonderfull stay and highly recommended!

We had such a delightful stay here. The photos don’t do it justice. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, which we used extensively. When a couple of minor issues with the house popped up, Brian responded immediately. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy, charming cabin! It’s the perfect place to unplug and unwind. Nestled in a peaceful, quiet setting, the cabin feels like a true retreat from everyday life. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch for morning coffee and evening chats. The nearby waterfalls (a 30–40 minute walk or 10-minute drive) were a wonderful way to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. The two-person soaking tub was a highlight—so relaxing after a hike! The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with a small but functional kitchen, which made it easy to prepare simple meals. We also appreciated the high-quality linens and comfortable bed—such a nice touch that made our stay feel special. While it’s ideal for unplugging, there is Wi-Fi if you need it. There are also some cute towns nearby, full of antique shops and local charm. It was the perfect blend of nature, comfort, and low-key exploration. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

Marilyn’s place was great! Very peaceful. Lake access was awesome. Warm neighborhood. The kitchen was a bit tricky to navigate, but Marilyn had detailed instructions. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Marilyn’s place.

My family and dog really enjoyed the cozy cabin. The yard is fun. While the stairs are challenging as described... it was also fun. While small, it has everything you need. as mentioned in other reviews, it is pretty close to the road. Our check-in with Lois was smooth and all the information we needed. it was great being able to walk over to the trail. Thank you so much.

What more could you want? This quaint cabin situated in the woods offers privacy, unique architecture, comfort, and peace. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the hosts were truly some of the most responsive and kind people I have ever interacted with. They truly went above and beyond for us. We stayed with a toddler and two dogs, and they all loved the property and the cabin. We will most definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing environment, this place was perfect. Between the hammock, the soaking tub, and the view of the water - especially from the gorgeous and cozy sunroom - it was exactly what I needed. Also, WiFi signal was actually pretty decent!

Truly a magical spot. We’ve stayed at many unique Airbnbs, and this one is up there as a favorite. It’s so peaceful and beautiful; the walk down makes it feel like you are truly remote and alone. The screened porch is perfect for listing to the stream at all points of the day. The cabin itself is furnished in a quirky and cozy way, and the beds are very comfortable. The full kitchen had everything needed. The host was super friendly and responsive. We would absolutely would recommend to others!

I was lucky enough to spend a weekend here with my son fishing and splashing around and eating smores. Exactly what we were hoping for. The place is soulful and lovely and immaculately maintained and the hosts are kind and responsive. Hope to return!

Gayle was communicative and explicitly clear in her description of The Pondhouse and amenities. Her directions also were very clear. She gets 5 stars for managing expectations. As for The Pondhouse, Gayle describes is as "magical," and here again, she is spot on. It is a beautiful location and an enchanting hideaway. Everything from the furniture, bedding, decor, outdoor shower, etc. is well appointed. I noticed and loved the small details — from the practical perfectly placed hooks to the candleholders and tea lights that were provided and helped enhance the magical experience — that went into creating this little oasis nestled into the woods. Taking a wam shower outdoors in nature was good for the soul. My husband and I went on this much-needed getaway, and it did not disappoint. It rained our first day there, and it was cold but the blankets were more than adequate. For me, it was a chance to reflect and recharge after the recent loss of my mother. We would definitely return.

We stayed for a graduation near by, it was perfect for we were looking for. I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer to enjoy the water.

Amazing place. So serene and comfortable to be at. Loved every minute of it. Place had everything we could need but was minimalist enough where we could disconnect and really embrace the outdoors and cabin vibe. The quiet and tranquility helped tale us away from the daily hum and fully embrace nature. Met a few people in the surrounding area and they were all so kind and lovely. The view of the lake never got old and its placid reflective waters really brought one at ease. Would stay here again for sure.

Great quiet place for the family. Easy access to everything while still feeling secluded and restful

I was sad to leave this cottage! It was a wonderful extended stay. I loved doing my rope flow in the sunshine on the grass, doing yoga on the screened in porch, knitting in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn and making some meals in the quaint kitchen. We were able to easily explore the area and enjoy some beautiful hikes and drives nearby. The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet with plenty of critters scurrying about (though we didn’t get to see any larger animals), and the lake is a short walk away. Christine was such a wonderful host making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this gem and hope to be back.
