Cottage vacation rentals in Southern France

We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

Nous avons passé un super séjour, le cadre est magnifique avec une belle vu et la tranquillité, le logement est parfait et bien décoré, nous avons bien profité de la plancha du jacuzzi et de la piscine. l'hôte est super réactif pour toute demande. je recommande vivement ce lieu.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette magnifique bulle de nature! Le gîte est très agréable, suréquipé et decoré avec goût!! L'accueil était également très sympathique, nous avons déjà envie d'y retourner 😊

Heaven on earth in Navarre! Our group - two couples and two young-adult children - fell completely in love with Javier's modernized 16th century stone house in the Araitz valley, surrounded by endless mountain and green pasture views. The home itself is spacious, artful and comfortable with lots of different sitting areas, a large kitchen (we ate all meals at home or made sandwiches for picnics) and even a ping pong table and enormous workspace. We also loved the outdoor dining area, where we ate most all of our meals, gazing over the grazing sheep, listening to the horse bells and birds and planning our daily hikes. We were able to hike from home for 4 days and rarely saw anyone besides animals or people working the fields on our walks. We were able to buy all of our groceries in Betalu the Maitz butcher/gourmet takeout shop and the small market next door. There's also a dairy for fresh milk and yogurt! Javier escorted us to the house and was the perfect host. You won't regret it!

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

We hebben hier 5 overnachtingen gehad. Het is ons heel erg goed bevallen, een schitterend appartement met alle gemakken die je nodig hebt. De faciliteiten zijn goed en alles was heel netjes en schoon. Binnen heb je alle ruimte en buiten kun je lekker op het balkon zitten of beneden op terras of grasveld met ligbedjes. Het is rustig gelegen, je moet dus wel even met de auto op stap voor een uitstapje of eten & drinken, maar voor ons was dat geen probleem. In de omgeving is genoeg moois te zien, stad (Pamplona) of natuur (Bardenas Reales, watervallen van Urederra). Wij hebben het heerlijk gehad, zeker aan te raden om hier te verblijven!

Cadre idéal pour se retrouver entre amis ou en famille. Très bon accueil par Susan et ses chiens.

I cannot describe in words how beautiful and amazing our stay was, but I will try. The location: Beautiful place. House located uphill but there are buses from the centre (close to the beach) that leaves you close to the house. We just walked uphill each day and cooled off in the pool later ;) Sergia was kind enough to offer picking us up from the centre a few times too but the walk is quite nice. The house: Exactly as described and as in pictures. Serene garden, cute pool, well stocked kitchen and cozy interiors. This villa comes with a terrace with a sea view, a beautiful front garden. The other villa has a slightly larger front garden. Since no one was in the other villa, Sergia let us go in there as well. There is a common garden out front with the pool. Everything was beautiful and cozy. The hosts: Sergia and Orso were so kind, I cannot explain it. Sergia baked us some cake and cut us some fruit. Because we were late to get there, Orso even went grocery shopping for us.

Heerlijk rustig verblijf gehad. Super te combineren met een bezoek aan het drukke Barcelona. We hebben enorm genoten van de prachtige en uitgebreide tuin met zwembad. Er waren erg veel leuke speelmogelijkheden. Leuk winkeltje met eigen spullen aanwezig op de boerderij. We geven locatie een 10!!! (4dagen waren te kort ;-))

Das Haus war sehr schön und individuell, alles war tipptopp! Nacho war ein hervorragender Gastgeber, die Kommunikation war sehr gut. Begur ist ein sehr schöner Ort, vor allem, wenn das Blumenfest stattfindet. Einziger Nachteil ist der steile Weg zum Haus, da es höher gelegen ist. Jederzeit gerne wieder und Dankeschön an Nacho👍🏼

Un vrai petit havre de paix, la petite cabane tout confort et très zen dans son jardin privé et clôturé. Parfait pour un moment de détente. C'était vraiment super nous ne manquerons pas d'y revenir si l'occasion le permet.

Zeer verwelkomend, sympathiek huis. Het leek alsof de bewoners even weg waren voor een boodschap en zo zouden terugkomen. Alles is aanwezig en werkt. Hele fijne televisie kamer (Roland Garros). Absoluut rustige ligging, je hoort alleen de natuur en prachtig uitzicht over de heuvels.

Wir haben wunderschöne 4 Tage im Haus verbracht. Die Lage ist genial und der private Strand ist einfach traumhaft. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war schnell und unkompliziert. Das Haus ist sauber und der Garten mit der wunderschönen Aussicht ist genial. Wir waren 2 Erwachsene mit 2 Hunden und für uns war es perfekt. Die Hunde können nicht vom privaten Strand ins Wasser (Wasser ist nur über 2 Leitern begehbar) aber 10m vom Haus entfernt können sie ganz einfach baden. Die Stelle ist toll um mit den Hunden zu baden. Die Wendeltreppe war für unsere (Mittelgrossen) Hunde auch nicht machbar aber sie haben problemlos oben im Wohnzimmer geschlafen und wir schliefen unten im Schlafzimmer. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und das Recyclin System vom Gastgeber perfekt vorbereitet. Alles war sehr sauber bei unserer Ankunft. Wir haben unseren Urlaub hier sehr genossen und werden definitiv wieder zurückkommen.

The Gite is a fantastic place to stay- we had a wonderful 3 days there. It is peaceful and picturesque. Martine and Justine were the perfect hosts and the little treats were so thoughtful. We had a wonderful stay! Laurent and Emilie have created a lovely home away from home in a peaceful setting, surrounded by beautiful gardens and nature. They were super responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed information. It was an easy walk or bike ride to Montignac. The barn was well equipped and very cozy. It was all just super!!

This is genuinely one of my favourite places I've ever stayed via Airbnb. The house is gorgeous, and the garden is like something out of a dream. David's communication was excellent, and when finally meeting him in person, it was lovely to encounter such a charming, helpful person. His paella was also excellent!! I don't have many words to describe just how much we loved our time at the house, it looks great on the photos and even greater in reality. The absolutely perfect place to go and disconnect for a few days/weeks. We'll definitely be back!!

Catherine and Maxence set the bar high with their beautiful home and hospitality. A week prior to arriving, they’d sent a long list of suggested restaurants, activities, and info of the area, which was very helpful for us. They both met us upon arrival, showed us around our unit (which included a few regional specialty snacks and water — so sweet!), and then gave us a tour of the grounds — pool, walking trails, gardens, etc. Their love and deep pride for their beautiful estate and area is very evident, and they take exceptional care in sharing that with their guests! Maxence gave my husband several maps and guides with highlighted routes and activities, and was very thoughtful in including ideas for activities our kids would enjoy. We took them up on several ideas and they were all wonderful! Comfy beds, beautiful bathroom and kitchen, lovely private garden behind the house, parking on-site, a yummy boulangerie 0.5 mi away, and attentive and thoughtful hosts — a perfect stay!!

Nous avons passé un superbe week-end dans cette jolie petite maison très bien décorée, un jardin privatif très mignon, et un magnifique jardin commun, superbement entretenu. Petit hameau au calme, où nous pouvons profiter du calme, et du chant des oiseaux. Il ne nous manquait rien, un bonheur. Il est également très agréable de discuter avec Jérémy. Nous reviendrons ☺️.

Amazing Airbnb! One of the best I’ve had in the Provence. Super quiet but still close to town. Anita was very helpful and borrowed us a bbq when we asked. We will be back! Merci pour tous.

Nathalie et Olivier ont été des guests hyper sympa. Le lieu est incroyable et les gîtes d'une calme et sérénité parfaites. Nous avons beaucoup aimé.

We have just returned from a great 5 night break at Patrice's place (Magnolia de Bonheur). The location is really very Impressive indeed. The view from the pool deck is superb. The Gîte was exactly as described and very comfortable. The general property is very rustic and peaceful - totally relaxing and calm. Patrice is a very kind and considerate host and was always responsive and helpful when we had a couple of queries. Les Hauts de Jeanvert is definitely to be recommended. Ce logement est l'idée que je me fais du paradis. Nous n'avons jamais vu un endroit aussi beau, bien entretenu,bien décoré. Le jardin et la vue sont à couper le souffle c'est d'une beauté sans nom.. Et la décoration du logement est incroyable, notre regard se pose dans chaque recoin et à chaque fois nous découvrons de nouveau petit détail. Je vous félicite tous les deux pour ce beau travail accomplit, on ressent tout l'amour et toute la passion qui a été mis dans ce projet . Nous avons eu du mal à repartir et une chose est certaine: nous reviendrons! Je vous souhaite à tous de découvrir ce paradis , même le temps d une journée et d'une nuit!
