Vacation rentals with beach access in Southend-on-Sea

We have just had a lovely week here, the flat is a good size and has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked and all the appliances you need, a modern bathroom with great shower, plenty of room and comfortable bed and unusually it has lots of storage which is very useful Its in a great location just over the road from the beech and had some lovely walks along the beech and into the village which has a good selection of shops. Parking is really useful and Kelly was very helpful with recommendations locally. We really enjoyed our stay and the flat was perfect for us very clean and well presented, and would definitely recommend staying here

Shelby was a great host. Really responsive, helpful and easy to get a hold of. She was very flexible and her communication was great. She was proactive in ensuring my stay went smoothly and I had a great stay thanks to that.

Apartment is perfectly located, only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. It was spotless when we arrived and we enjoyed the welcome box of Maltesers…I hope they were for us! Great communication from Nicky. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Whitstable.

We had another great stay Josie's place. Fantastic location, view and we really love opening the bedroom window and balcony door to get a lovely breeze all the way through the flat! Will stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Lorraine's house. The flat is right opposite the beach which is amazing. The flat was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels which was very handy. overall a very positive experience.

It was very homely and all the furnishing are top quality compared to most other air bnb and we just felt very at home and comfortable. I’ll be staying again when I’m in Leigh on sea

Perfect destination for a long weekend 😀 Super clean, beautifully decorated flat literally 5 mins walk to the sea. Whitstable around a 25 minute flat walk along the coast road with ice cream parlours en route. Owners very helpful and left a lovely selection of treats including wine and a selection of baked goods. Everything thought of including toiletries, charging cables and cushions on the outdoor furniture. High quality of fixtures and fittings throughout. Absolutely loved the enclosed private garden with flowers and chirping sparrows. Close to restaurants, take aways or a nice M&S for eating in. Would recommend to anyone.

What a beautiful place to stay - right next to a nature reserve, with the oyster catchers and curlews calling at night and wildlife wandering into the garden. But also very close to pubs, coffee shop and the sea. Great if you like birds, wildlife and peace and quiet.

Thank you Sophie, the house felt like a home. The books, the toys, the rooms, the garden an added bonus for the little people. “but why can’t we stay longer” asked grandchild. Appreciated the earlier check in, and thank you for your flexibility and understanding with our car problems.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Slip Cottage. Great communication from Steve throughout and perfect location for beach, restaurants, etc. Literally just off the main street but still quiet. Lovely touches like providing handwash and bubble bath! Lots of towels and toilet roll also. Highly recommend staying here.

The house, furnishings and equipment exceeded our expectations. We felt right at home. The house is bright, spacious, clean and very tastefully furnished. Parking in the street is no problem. Lots of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at Becky’s place. The house was very clean and comfortably spacious for our group of seven — no small feat when you’re trying to coordinate showers, tea rounds and who gets the comfy seat in the garden. The terrace and garden were a real highlight, with a little sea view that made morning coffees and evening drinks feel extra pleasant. The value for money was excellent, which we really appreciated. Now, the location… well, let’s just say Sheppey has a certain rugged charm. It’s not exactly buzzing with activity, but if you’re looking to unplug, stare at the sky and listen to seagulls with strong regional accents, you’re in the right place. The house itself is simple and functional. Becky was responsive and helpful throughout, and the listing was accurate. Thanks again for the stay!

Stayed there before, would stay again which is endorsement in itself. Would appreciate some milk upon arrival, otherwise a perfect stay.

We had a relaxing stay in Julie's cottage, which had everything we needed and a bonus of two bathrooms. The kids enjoyed the toys and the garden. It is really peaceful at night and nearby to the harbour and town so we could walk everywhere and visit the local restaurants and pubs, which were great. Nice lido and playground for children and we recommend taking the harbour ferry to East Mersea. A lovely stay, thankyou.

The flat was everything you would hope for from an Air B&B and Bethany was a perfect host - quick to respond, friendly and made recommendations. The flat was in a perfect spot - a pebble's throw from the beach and Tankerton Slopes and a 20 minute walk along the promenade into the harbour and Whitstable town centre. The flat was lovely - clean, homely and with everything you need. You really couldn't ask for any more.

This is a lovely flat with everything you could want for a very comfortable stay. David and Lisa are quick to respond to any questions or requests and most accommodating. The flat is clean, charming and convenient to the beach, train station and shops.

We had a wonderful time at Nic’s place. Nic was super nice, always response and very clear in her instructions. Pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful it is. It is so tastefully done, paying attention to the smallest details. Be it the condiments at the kitchen, the books collection or the list of board and card games. While we loved reading in the garden when it was sunny, our absolute favourite part was being able to watch as rain trickled down the window and skylight whilst comfortably sat in the sofa. We absolutely loved this place and would definitely come back again.

I am a heavy travellers . I stayed so many places before. Hotels or flats. Aniesha’s flat is like a five star hotel suite! Very modern and stylish. The building is only 1.5years old. Very clean and the location is very convenient just in front of railway station and near supermarket and shopping center. Lots of restaurants nearby. It makes me feel like home. Thank you Aniesha! Aniesha is a very nice host. I already look forward to coming back again! Wish a merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Chris & Hilary were wonderful hosts, they were very proactive and made sure we had every bit of detail about the property and its surroundings. The property is beautiful and clean and its located within short walking distance from the beach. We also loved the private park garden which was our pull factor to the property. Check-in and checkout process was very easy and straightforward. The Internet speed was great and the bed is very comfy. Me and my wife tried to think of any room for improvement to feedback to the hosts and we struggled to come up with anything. We definitely found our holiday home in Southend-on-Sea and we cant wait to stay there again. Thank you Chris & Hilary!

We have never been to Herne Bay . As it such fine weather ,and rather than me paying silly prices for a hotel in London, we found this gem . It very near the beach and the facilities Herne Bay had to offer were fantastic , both busy and quiet and great notices of local facts eg Amy Johnson. Also easy walk from railway station. Followed up the hosts recommendation of local facilities and saw fabulous sunset from the pub . The host answered very quickly the one query we had . Would recommend for even singles, as it felt a safe area , as well as couples with or without children, or in our case a doggy . All facilities for him also .

Had a lovely stay. Flat was just as described. Love that there was Netflix as well as other channels on the tv. Lovely garden area, we ate breakfast outside. Just one thing that I think would be helpful for families with small children staying, maybe a small step for the bathroom as my 3 year old couldnt reach the sink to wash hands and brush teeth.
