Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Zone

We only stayed two nights but it was definitely worth it! Location is great; on the main street with lots of nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The large terrace is also wonderful! Both in the morning to wake up quietly and in the evening with buzz & live music from the nearby cafes. Nice experience in an authentic atmosphere.

Andre was a truly amazing host. He lives nearby and treated us more like friends than guests. We were even invited to his birthday party — an unforgettable and authentic dive into Brazilian culture. The home is located about 1.5 kilometers up a rocky dirt road, with a 300-meter elevation gain — which probably makes a huge difference during the hot season. The views of the granite mountains are stunning, and you really feel immersed in nature. Monkeys are frequent guests There are fantastic hiking trails nearby, including one that leads to a waterfall, and I especially recommend the trail to Chinesa Vista — one of the most breathtaking views of the city from above. It’s about a 30-minute walk each way and a great little workout

Diogo received me in such short notice, and was flexible with my check out time. Marianna was also really helpful, responsive and communicative. The place was cosy and had all the utensils needed. Will deffo recommend.

Excellent stay. Exactly as described. The host and his family were very hospitable and kind to us. To enter the place, we need to go through the kitchen, but it did not affect privacy at all, because the place is separate from the house. We kept a copy of the keys, which gave us even more privacy. Clear instructions, before and during the stay. Wonderful location, very close to the subway, R. Nelson Mandela (full of restaurants), Casa Firjan, Casa Rui Barbosa, pharmacies, supermarket, bakeries, snack bars. Hot shower, hair dryer, comfortable bed, clothesline, hangers available. Clean bathroom. And there was plenty of cold water available in the refrigerator, which made a big difference to us. The house is in a safe, quiet and very peaceful village. There is a door in the bedroom that opens onto a balcony, we left it open at bedtime and it was very cool. It was a great experience, we intend to come back more often.

Ana has one of the most beautifully designed and furnished homes I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in, surrounded by nature and beauty, with the city just a few lights away, I can’t say enough about how great the place was. Ana was a great host who stayed in constant contact with help and assistance I would recommend her home to anyone wanting to enjoy a lovely comfortable stay, THANKS ANA !!!!!

I believe, without a doubt, that this is one of the best spaces in Copacabana. I explain: new, spacious, clean, very quiet environment; perfect kitchen, with all the necessary utensils (electric coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc.). There is hot water in all the faucets and the shower is of great quality. Both air conditioners are new and have clean filters. The whole place is very clean and organized. There's nothing missing! The street is practically inside a village and there's no noise. It is close to the Pão e Companhia bakery - which sells the best cassava biscuits with cheese; the Adega Pérola tavern; many bars, markets and gyms, as well as being less than 100 m from the Arcoverde subway station. Moreover, Gregório is an exemplary host: always available and with daily attention. I will always return, this spectacular space, when I return to Rio, if it is available!!!

Very beautiful house with vintage mosaics, that give it a vintage feel

Jorginho and Gilberto were fantastic hosts—welcoming, accommodating, and the perfect guides to Vidigal. They took us on a morning hike up the mountain and showed us around the favela, making our stay truly special. Vidigal itself felt incredibly safe, even more so than the city, so don’t hesitate to stay here. The accommodation was comfortable, and to top it off, Laura the dog was an absolute delight. Highly recommend this stay for an authentic and memorable experience!

The home was great. We stayed in the apartment for almost a week and it offered all the comfort and amenities during the stay. The apartment perfectly matched the listing and was very well maintained. It is very well located with everything you need around and a few meters from the subway. Communication with the hosts was easy and clear. Great option for those who go to Rio.

This was a quaint and cozy spot for a stay in Rio, close to all the beaches. It had a beautiful view with great amenities, and shopping and food and a entire Mall within walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in rio. great communication with the host, a fair price value. Very secure and safe as well.

Honestly completely loved Henry's place! Getting inside was a bit sketchy at first but very easy. Once inside, the place was fantastic, the views in person from the terrace was honestly amazing, the pictures on the listing don't do it justice! I'll be booking again for sure when back in Rio. The place inside was very clean. It is inside a pacified favela so seeing armed men is very common, I didn't mind at all as they mind their own business. I was walking back to the airbnb at 2-3am and never felt in danger( My girlfriend and I were dressed very nice, however, out of precaution, didn't have any jewelry displaying). I will say that if your not a fan of a little adventure, it might not be for you, in my opinion it was a great and fun experience and provided me with a completely different experience of Rio. Henry was also very accommodating and catered to our itinerary, we will absolutely be coming back! Thanks Henry and Yuri!

Everything was amazing. I've been to Rio 3 times and this was my favorite accommodation. The apartment is small but super comfortable for 2-4 people, very close to the beach, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy… Really nice!

Carolina is a good business woman, but you are a great human being. She did everything to make sure that my stay was memorable. I will love to stay at her place again sometime soon.

This place is right in the middle of Ipanema and Copacabana excellent location. Host provided recommendations to eat as well as things to do. He was very responsive and helpful during the trip. Highly recommend to stay here.

Great location very close to the beach and lagoon, short drive to Rio’s main attractions. So nice to have the place clean and breakfast made by wonderful and friendly maids. Cesar is responsive and accommodating. Our family of 4 had a wonderful time in Rio for our first time coming from USA on our way to visit my side of the family in RS. Unforgettable trip na cidade maravilhosa! 🤩

Amazing flat with one of the best views of Ipanema! it looks just like the pictures if not better. super close to the beach and the location in general is great with loads of botecos, stores, etc. Julie as a host was amazing, always super responsive and gave us loads of tips. Will definitely try staying here the next time I'm in Rio!

The best apartment in Alto Leblon!

Great location, apartment as shown in the pictures, very well maintained. Full kitchen with quality appliances and cookware.

Amazing stay! Close to everything; bakery, market, warehouse, subway, bus stop. Not to mention that next to the apartment there is a very famous restaurant with great prices that works until 2 or 3 a.m. So I felt super safe arriving late. It would always return!

The apartment is exactly as described, in addition to being super clean, organized and with all the basic utensils for the stay (linens, bath towels, kitchen utensils, etc. - all of good quality and clean). Adriana was super helpful the whole time, answering our questions and being flexible with our check-out. We had a small problem with a leak (a normal thing, and it did not affect our positive experience at all) and she helped us promptly. I highly recommend the apartment and the host, and I hope to be able to return other times.

Beatriz and Valdemar's place is perfect, it's just like the photos. It's very well equipped. I highlight the good quality of the sheets and towels. Valdemar is a very attentive person, who is willing to help. The building manager is very friendly and helpful. The studio is located on a main street, close to places to eat and shop. A few blocks from the beach and the Laguna. I highly recommend this place, I would definitely come back.

Excellent location, one block from the beach and close to shops (market, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants, etc.). Communication with Joaquim was very quick and clear, he was always very polite. On an upcoming trip to RJ, I'll stay in the same apartment!
