Nothing short of amazing! A nature lover’s paradise (even with the Scottish weather). Got dry weather for an hour one morning haha so had a lovely breakfast in the garden. Met two tiny (literally newborn) lambs in the field next to us! All wobbly on their feet. So cute!! Friendly hosts, very clean and well decorated.

Had a lovely stay at this cottage . Near to Edinburgh as my son was doing the marathon but in a lovely location . Kylie was response to our messages and a lovely homemade loaf gave that extra touch for our arrival . Would definitely recommend and stay again .

Family house spa,games room easy to visit cities

Spacious unique house with spa facilities, games room & petting zoo. American pool table, table tennis and fire pit access. Area is private but we share the same front door access to get to our living spaces. Spa facilities are for your private group with hot-tub , steam room & sauna. Shotts train station 5 min away with a direct line to Edinburgh & Glasgow and free car parking. Access to the motorway, it’s an easy drive to the cities. Ideal country setting but so many places near by to visit

Relax in our comfortable static caravan , peaceful location. Pet friendly, beautiful walks . local pub. Not very far from Glasgow or Edinburgh as the motorway is approximately a mile away. It takes just over an hour by car to reach either. There is a local bus services just outside the site that travels to and from Glasgow, Dumfries, and Moffat which is roughly 2 miles away . Moffat has everything you need supermarket , cafes , restaurants , chemist newsagents and many other things.

My home from home is the perfect retreat to escape from the everyday pressures. The space is modern light and airy yet comfortable and homely. It is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy time out from Life. Full-size oven and built in fridge freezer and microwave. A fabulous power shower to kick start your morning followed by breakfast Al fresco on the decking. Beds are comfortable as is the lounge area. Stargaze at night on a lounger and wish on the shooting stars that fall.

Cairns House, Cairns Farm, Kirknewton

Caroline, along with her amazing staff, made our family feel immediately welcomed and cared for, as though we were an extension of her own family. The estate was absolutely breathtaking to behold in person. The only thing that made an equal impression was the hospitality received that was above and beyond our expectations. Caroline and the Cairns Farm staff were not only very professional, they were very supportive, approachable, and responsive to every request we had, which in turn enhanced the experience for our family to become the most impactful and successful time we’ve spent together. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness nor put into words my gratitude for the experience of a lifetime the Cairns Farm Estate facilitated for us. We will be returning as soon as possible. Thank You Again!!!!

The place is amazing .. surrounding is surreal. We had a great time. Major super markets / stores are 15 mins drive. But that is ok... we chose for it. We chose to be away from Edinburgh. This place is 35/40 mins beautiful drive from Edinburgh. The estate in which this place is situated is beautiful. The owner allowed us to roam around and explore. If you are countryside fan, you would love it.

We stayed 5 nights the end of May when all the flowering shrubs were in bloom. Its was truly a beautiful scene. We liked the quiet nature for walks on the property. We did some cycling trips from there also using the local train and cycle shop rental. The kitchen was great though we didn’t cook much. The local golf course had great food(vegan too) so we ate there several times. Everyone was so friendly in West Calder. We enjoyed a cosey fire one night. Nicola was very friendly, quick to respond for small stuff she rectified. I would love to return.

We had a lovely weekend at stable cottage. It was in a very quiet area and in easy walking distance to shops,restaurants etc. The cottage is very nice and very clean and modern. We definitely stay again
