Pet-friendly vacation rentals in South Lake Tahoe

We were a party of 6 with 2 dogs and we had a fantastic stay at this cozy A-frame cabin in Tahoe City! The house was spotless, stylishly furnished, and had everything we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. We especially appreciated how pet-friendly the place is — we brought our two dogs, and there was no extra charge, which is incredibly rare and thoughtful. The hot tub was a major highlight, perfect after a day of hiking or just to relax under the stars. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and the neighborhood was peaceful and beautiful. Another big plus: the host offered early check-in and late checkout without any request, which made our stay even more flexible and stress-free. Communication was clear and responsive throughout. We would absolutely stay here again — highly recommended!

Modern rustic, aesthetically pleasing decor, peaceful & serene location, bucolic sunrises, close drive to Stagecoach, cozy tiny kitchen, personal touches in bathroom & kitchen - like: makeup cloths, mouthwash, toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tea, Keurig pods, chapsticks & hand sanitizer, family friendly games, 2 modern fireplaces & battery operated candles, make for a pure escape into the mountains & trees, close to the clandestine most beautiful lake. I only wish the hot tub was available year round, especially after a glorious day shredding the slopes! Thank you to Michael - for being attentive to details & design, available to queries, & flexible with plans. Our family, including our Samoyed, Nicco, enjoyed our stay & adventures in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains! 🏔️ It was really hard to leave & look forward to returning soon!

Wow what a great cabin for families! We all had our private areas which is great with little ones. Tons of amenities and things to do around the home. Was fully stocked, updated and very clean. All together one or the best rentals I’ve stayed at! Highly recommend :)

We had a great stay! The Cabin felt cozy and comfortable! It felt like home! Would stay again! The view was beautiful and breathtaking! We were close by to South Lake Tahoe downtown area and Holiday Market super close by which was convenient. Loved our stay!

Chris was an excellent host! He accommodated our needs, was quick to respond to any questions, and made us feel welcome. The house was thoroughly cleaned and everything was neatly placed when we arrived (with no shortage of cozy blankets and towels!). The living room was very comfy for movies, and we loved the backyard - both the hot tub and the fence that gave our doggo the freedom to roam safely. Overall, it was a lovely stay!

The place was as described and Alex was very responsive. The garage easily fit three cars (two sedans and a crossover). There is one master bedroom on the main floor upstairs, and three other bedrooms downstairs with one full bath between them. The third bathroom is upstairs next to the kitchen/living room. As another review stated, the pool table is in the master bedroom, which is unusual, but still fun to play. The hot tub was clean and very relaxing. WiFi worked well.

We enjoyed staying at Heathers place. It was a great location and not too far from everything in Tahoe that we wanted to do. It had all the things we needed in a Airbnb and the outdoor views were beautiful! I will warn you that you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbors above you are doing or saying so it was very loud up until the late hours of the night. It’s not the hosts fault at all, so I would never blame them. It didn’t bother us too much, and they do provide sound machines in all the rooms, which definitely helped with that.

My group had an incredible time at Treb’s place. The views were unbeatable, the cabin was cozy and spacious, and we loved the location. We loved starting the day with coffee in the sun room or on the deck, then enjoying the jacuzzi and views after a day of activities. Would love to stay here again!

We had the most amazing stay at this Donner Lake/Truckee gem! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip—plenty of towels, a well-stocked kitchen, and even ping pong and a hot tub. for the. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, but still close to downtown Truckee and all the outdoor adventures. We went hiking, shopping, and spent the day at West End Beach which is a 10 min drive . The hosts were super kind, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. Highly recommend for families, people with pets (we brought our dog), or anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevadas. We can’t wait to come back!

Kathy’s place was a wonderful home base for our Tahoe weekend. Being able to walk out to the edge of the lake, and out onto a beautiful pier in the peaceful water, just a minute away from the unit, was magical. It was very close to Tahoe City shops and restaurants- you could easily walk or bike over. The location was ideal. The complex was very quiet while we were there (Spring), really so peaceful, and just enough away from the bustle of the main road. Kathy was a very helpful and communicative host. Everything was comfortable and clean, and we had any amenity we could think of at the ready. All around, a lovely stay in a beautiful place, thanks Kathy!

This was an outstanding experience! The hosts were so responsive and great to work with. Also, the condo was clean, well stocked, and close to everything we needed: restaurants, coffee, grocery stores, and fun lake activities and trails! 10/10 would recommend!

My family and I spent a wonderful weekend at this cabin. Cabin was well set up, beds comfortable, many games/ equipment available for use. The hot tub and views from the deck were amazing. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at this air bnb, there were a couple things missing or broken that we needed, laundry detergent, etc. all in all though great neighborhood and place to book for a couple of nights. For anyone else booking for the summer time, there was no AC although the fans work great and open windows at night too. It was perfect for smaller company, for us it was just 2 people and the area was absolutely lovely, we would definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful home. It more than comfortably fit my group of six. It was clean, spacious, easy to find, close to fun things, and very comfortable. Staying here was a blast and we’d definitely stay here again!

We had a great 2 nights stay here. It’s kind of at a perfect spot where most good spots are like 10min by car and is peaceful at the same time. This area also has some nice hikes. Host is very responsive and even offered us an 8am checkin proactively a day in advance which was super cool and convenient. Definitely recommend staying here.

I like how quiet and serene it was. Felt like we had the neighborhood to ourselves. Looks like Olga is doing a lot of updating to the the chalet. We will stay again and would love to see how it looks next year

While the property itself has a few areas that could use some attention, I want to give a full 5 stars for the host, who was incredibly receptive, responsive, and open to feedback. It’s clear that this is a personally owned and managed space—not a cookie-cutter rental run by investors—and that made all the difference. The host genuinely cared about our experience and was proactive about addressing repair needs. That level of communication and accountability is rare and deeply appreciated. I’d much rather support an individual like this than stay in a corporate-owned listing. Looking forward to seeing how this space evolves under such thoughtful ownership. I would absolutely rent this property again in the future. I wish all hosts were as wonderful and caring as he is.

Super spacious house and located so close to the shops and restaurants at South Lake Tahoe! Place is very clean, and there are plenty of towels and dining ware for multiple guests.

Lori was very responsive and helpful. The home was in a great spot in Tahoe, very easy to find, and had everything for my family and I to ensure a comfortable stay. All of the beds were super comfortable and the home was very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very cool house. The hosts were great and accommodated us nicely! Responded quickly. Pool room and deck was very fun for the boys to hang out and play pool and watch nba playoffs. Exceed expectations by all of us

Our family of 4 had a great stay! The hot tub was awesome and the location was great. Our boys (2 and 5) loved the house and it was great to have 2 separate bedrooms - one for us and one for the kids.

Anette's home was absolutely fantastic! The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the location was perfect for walks with the family and dogo. The host was also incredibly responsive and helpful, making our stay a truly memorable experience. The place is HUGE! Everyone can have their own private space. The kitchen is fantastic, with plenty of room, and the stovetop will make you want to cook!

We stayed at Heather and Carolyn’s property for a week and didn’t want to leave! The location, the surroundings and close proximity to beautiful walking trails was everything we wanted. The setting is very quiet and oh that morning Sun on the front deck. Perfect for coffee and setting up our day. The amenities are top notch. The beds comfy, and playing billiards upstairs at night was so fun. We will be back!! Thank you for everything Steven and Steven
