Cottage vacation rentals in Somerset West

Wir waren bereits zum dritten mal in dieser Ferienwohnung und das sagt in meinen Augen schon vieles aus. Hazel und Christo machen den Aufenthalt jedesmal zu etwas ganz besonderem und ihre Gastfreundschaft ist einfach grandios. Die Ferienwohnung im Landhausstil verfügt über einen Pool zu privaten Nutzung und ist kindergesichert. Zusätzlich gibt es einen HotTub der bei Bedarf angeheizt werden kann. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die perfekte Sauberkeit in allen Bereichen. Die Gegend ist super angenehm, wir haben uns nie unsicher gefühlt. Es sind mehrere Geschäfte und auch Restaurants in 5min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. An die Waterfront braucht man ca. 20min und zur Canal Walk Mall sind es nur knapp 10min. Wir werden mit Sicherheit ein viertes mal kommen.

Highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting to get the full Franschhoek experience. Marlicia, and her husband are gracious hosts, more than accommodating when we needed a spot to park, their place is gorgeous, especially their backyard. The only downside about our stay is that we didn’t have enough time to enough the garden and the pool more. The location is also just a 6 min drive from the Franschhoek wine tram/bus station!

We loved our stay a Jackal River Farm and will definitely be back with the rest of our family. Very comfortable home and outside facilities with everything your need and more. Thanks Dwayne.

What a stunning airbnb. Everything is pristine, designed beautifully, and thoughtful. The garden is so relaxing to sit in and the outdoor patio by the braai is also lovely for nighttime dinners. My husband and I absolutely loved this place and plan to return in the future. It was so peaceful and lovely. The large bath tub and equipped kitchen were also highlights. It is located on the vineyards of a few wine farms and so it was great to walk to Stellenbosch Reserve for a tasting & dinner and also nice to walk along the vines. It felt very peaceful and relaxing.

We loved our stay, the fire place was amazing and the hot tub was so nice in the cold weather. Everything we needed was there and it was a great weekend away.

Loved the lookout! Cozy with an amazing view. So clean and cute little touches and nice art. Good garden birdwatching too :) Well appointed and quiet neighborhood- We slept so well! I will definitely stay here again when we return!

78 Beach Road is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults and 1 teenager). It’s spacious, calm and has everything you need. We visited after a week in Cape Town so we’re ready to relax, with the ocean views and sound of the waves it was perfect. We enjoyed using the indoor Braai, the plunge pool in the garden and evening walks along the rock paths. There is so much to do in the area especially if you have a car including zip lines, shark/whale watching, hiking, beach days, penguins, botanical gardens, local wildlife and much more, it’s a beautiful landscape. The owner was very responsive when we had questions we all felt safe and comfortable. We would love to stay here again it was perfect.

We stayed for 10 days and felt right at home. Very convenient base with lots of lovely restaurants and outdoor activities nearby. Nice to have the little extras in the house to make life easy- dishwasher and washing machine tabs, salt, pepper etc. Support from Jon and team also very smooth. We had a super time and would absolutely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hans holiday home. We loved all the space and the beautiful outside area., our 3 children had a great time in the swimming pool. We felt very comfortable and relaxed as soon as we arrived. Thank you for a lovely stay.

What a pleasure to spend a few days in this beautiful house - top notch location with a breathtaking view over the ocean, fantastic terrace for morning coffee and evening sunsets, and perfectly situated for walks down to the beach or along the mountain paths above. Kids loved visits from the baboons and we spent hours around the dining table playing board games and enjoying the views. House has everything you need, hosts are fabulous and Pringle Bay is treat - cannot recommend this place enough!

Absolutely loved my stay at the cottage! I often come back to Kalkbay and it’s a magical little spot. The cottage made it feel very homey. The perfect veranda to sit in the sun during the day! And in the evenings cosying up by the fire. Thanks for the great week!

We have had a lovely stay with Mel on her beautiful wine farm. The spot tranquil and beautiful and Mel has been incredibly accommodating! Definitely would recommend and definitely will be returning!

We spent 4 days at the cottage and had a lovely time! We were really impressed by how clean the place was, the cottage itself is located relatively remote but with easy access via Uber to and from. The cottage was equipped with everything you need and we found it to be a private stay without interruption. The surroundings are beautiful, with the porch having an incredible view of table mountain and private access to walk into the Groot Constantia vineyard. Would absolutely recommend as a quiet getaway and many thanks to Lucy for being such a great host, we would definitely stay again!

Linda is a great host! She made us feel very welcome, gave us loads of travel tips and was on hand if we needed anything. Her place was very conveniently located for our trips around the helderberg basin trips to Cape Town.

An absolute gem of a place to stay! The apartment has everything you could need, it’s set in a beautiful location and the host Nicci makes you feel right at home! I’ll definitely be staying here on all future Cape Town visits.

Ontvangen door een top hostess! Een fijn verblijf gehad in Stellenbosch. Fijne ruimte, rustig en schoon. Aan niks kwamen we te kort. Ze had zelfs voor het slechte weer een paraplu achtergelaten. De locatie is fijn tussen de wijnvelden en centrum Stellenbosch in.

We had a lovely stay at Richard's place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I could have spent all my time in the hanging chair. Richard and Issi were very responsive and accommodating hosts. We arrived late well after checkin and Issi was available to help us. I loved running on the estate. This will definitely be my 'go to' place whenever we're in Franschoek.
