I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was here, and how above and beyond the hosts went. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful, private getaway. Seeing how pretty the place looked in the pictures, I booked this spot to bring my fiancé to after proposing to her on the south coast. The hosts were kind enough to pick up decorations that I ordered from a nearby post office, and decorate the place beautifully well in time before I brought her there. They were extremely communicative in the weeks leading up to my stay, and put so much time, care, and attention to detail into the decorations while asking for nothing in return. In addition, the place was absolutely spotless and clean throughout. If you're looking for a serene stay with stunning views, cleaned to the highest standard, with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, this is your place.

We booked the hut for the private geothermal hot tub and although it takes 1-2 hours to fill it was absolutely amazing! We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet, there is nothing else than a nice view and smell of pine with the sound of some birds around.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home near Þingvellir National Park. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or soaking in the hot tub under the midnight sun, the scenery never stopped impressing us. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of exploring and made the experience feel like a true Icelandic escape. Our host was fantastic! Super responsive and helpful throughout the entire stay. They even arranged a thoughtful welcome basket with wine and snacks, which made us feel instantly at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Iceland adventure. Highly recommend!

The place was really super cozy and cleverly decorated. Upstairs there are two beds and the couch can also be folded out. We both slept upstairs on the beds and had a wonderful view in the evening. The only thing I want to point out is that the beds are quite small. I am 1.70 and fit in quite well, above that it will eventually be tight. We would come again again on any case!

Hildur's cottage was so lovely! I stayed one night at the cottage and wished I stayed longer. From the moment I entered the cottage, I was in awe at how cute and cozy it was. The cottage is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities that you will need. Highly recommend booking this cottage, you won't regret it.

Great experience, we’re so happy we have chosen this place after looking lots of them and would love to come back! 1. The position of the house on a little hill next to a stream without other houses nearby opens beautiful views and creates a luxurious feeling. There is a nice wooden deck terrace in front which worked great to enjoy the sunsets listening to music from portable Marshall speaker. 2. The house is very well equipped, comfortable, warm, very clean and feels new. great bed- It felt low on the pictures, in reality it was perfect. 3. The location worked great for us to use the house a single base for 7 day exploration of south Iceland with two small kids.

Hreinn and Hanna are incredible hosts! They are so kind and made us feel so at home. This was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had on Airbnb! They welcomed us warmly and by the time we left, we truly felt like we were a part of their family. They were very helpful providing information about the local area and Icelandic culture and life in general. We loved meeting and talking with them, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland! The guesthouse itself is well maintained, super clean, and has everything you need. We found it comfortable and spacious enough for 3 adults. It is in a great location for exploring sites along the golden circle. Definitely book this Airbnb without a second thought! We would love to stay here again if we can in the future!
