Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Skaneateles Lake

This is an absolutely gorgeous setting for relaxing. The property has the most beautiful picture window looking out to the water. We enjoyed watching the sunset while having cocktails on the patio. It is minutes away from the Village of Skaneateles, ideal for shopping and great dining.

A beautifully decorated and updated house! It was warm and inviting and felt like a home away from home. Location was in a nice neighborhood, walkable to town and close to the shops and restaurants. We loved our two night stay and hope to go back next year! Ronnie answered questions quickly, provided dinner recommendations and checked in to see how our stay was going. Excellent Airbnb owners! We had a wonderful stay at Evan's house. The location is great - secluded but not isolated, and not too far from shopping (Wegmans – 15 minutes) and colleges (Ithaca College – 18 minutes). The house was very spacious and tastefully done. For people that like to cook, there is oil, salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard in the kitchen so there's no need to buy or bring them. There were many thoughtful touches, including flashlights by the outside doors, labels by the lights and temperature controls, phone chargers by the beds, and an outside poop bag garbage bin. Our dog really liked running around the property. Evan was super responsive and always got back to me right away.

Easily now one of our favorite places to stay! Absolutely spotless and in a peaceful locale (we even saw a woodpecker!) Drivable to both Seneca and Cayuga and to Ithaca. Major kudos to Diane and Glen for not only creating a charming and welcoming space with so much thought and care, but ALSO for making it affordable! I have had some terrible, terrible experiences with AirBnB hosts cancelling my reservations to gauge me for more money when they realize it's commencement for one of the colleges, even if that's not remotely the reason for our visit. Finding this listing was fate! I will definitely try to book again in the future. And hopefully the weather will be nicer!

This home is gorgeous with so many spaces to gather or be alone. The view is lovely and peaceful. We loved hanging out on the enclosed Sun room. Kitchen well-stocked with quality dishes and pans. Beautifully updated home with a gorgeous kitchen. Furniture is clean and in great condition. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. 7 friends enjoyed a lovely weekend! We would definitely stay here again!

Even Better Than the Photos! I can’t say enough good things about this Airbnb in Skaneateles! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away — the home is even more beautiful than the photos, which is saying something. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, and the space was spotless, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. The views were stunning, and the setting offered peaceful seclusion. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right for our stay. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a relaxing retreat, or a base for exploring the Finger Lakes, this place is a gem. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

The host was extremely helpful and responsive. The place was immaculate! We booked on short notice and arrived with everything taken care off. We were there in the “off season” must only get better “in season”.

This place was perfect for the venue I was attending. It was less than a 5 minute drive to SUNY Cartland and about a 5 minute walk to downtown restaurants, a CVS, and gas stations. The place itself was very roomy and clean. I felt very comfortable and safe. Jerry was very responsive and friendly in all of communications. I would highly recommend Jerry’s place.

We stayed in Penn Yan with our pup and had a wonderful experience! The unit was nice and quiet, with a small yard and in the perfect location. Very nice view of the lake and Erika was easy to coordinate with and responsive. I would highly recommend this spot and would stay here again.

This place was so lovely in so many ways. - First it was so perfect for our daughter’s Cornell graduation. - Second it was so tastefully decorated with eclectic collection of furnitures - Third the host was so thoughtful in preparing every detail for us (eg over 10 kinds of shampoo, conditioners and body wash) - Finally I highly recommend this place

Scott was very responsive and helpful, before and during the stay. His friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable to ask questions. The place was exactly as listed with beautiful views and Scott left great recommendations for places to go nearby. While the weather wasn’t as accommodating during my stay, I would love to come back when it is so I could enjoy all the amenities offered. Overall my friends and I had a great stay!

The house was extremely nice, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Great space for two couples with the two king beds and two full bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with glasses, dishes, and cooking equipment. Great location being just a mile from the center of town for shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great one-night stay at Chay's place! Everything was very clean and tidy. Check-in was easy and the location was perfect for all the historical sites we came to visit. Chay was very kind to recommend some restaurants when we inquired. We felt perfectly at home there and knew that if we needed anything Chay would respond quickly. We couldn’t be happier with our experience! So clean, so convenient, so perfect. We love Syracuse, typically staying in a hotel. Never again - Jeffrey’s place is where it is at! Besides the awesome location and residence, we had a smooth check in and Jeffrey does amazing with sending recommendations nearby. Five stars plus!

Troy's place is suitable for a summer vacation! It has nice views of the lake and the area was nice and quiet. Although our stay was short, we really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again!

Th space was immaculate, well maintained, nicely designed as well as decorated. Our only concern was that there was no stove for our teenage son to cook on. There was a microwave and toaster broiler that worked just fine for him. However, the sauna was an amazing perk. The setting was very calm and relaxed. Rachel was an excellent host and left a kind graduation card and bottle of Spumante for us to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. We would highly recommend this space and would rent again. Clean, fairly easy to find, comfortable and a great location right in the heart of Armory Square.

If you're going to Elmira this is the single best place to stay. I think Elmira has a lot of potential, the only negative is it's just starting to go down the road of reaching that potential. This Airbnb and the businesses associated with Rye around it are the people taking those first steps. Stay here, it is incredible. Help these people keep doing what they're doing.

The apartment was adorable and well decorated. It seems as if they had thought of everything! Shalisa was also extremely responsive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend her place.

Our family came in for a concert, and this location was perfect. Beautiful condo, with a perfect location on the lake. With access to the pool, hot tub, life sized chess board, gym and the lakeside trail, we were within steps of a brewery, salon, restaurants, playground and an ice cream shop. Within walking distance of CMAC -- which we saw many people do. No need to bring your own towels, the condo has 4 for your use. The owners were quick to respond when we weren't able to get the door open (trick: turn the lock all the way to the right and lift the door handle up as you open) and super kind/prompt if I had other questions. We'll def be back. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful place!

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Syracuse U. Fantastic location in downtown and within easy reach of the university. Restaurants and more just steps away yet the condo was very peaceful with a neighborhood vibe and the nearby park was perfect for our pup. Would definitely stay here again.

Stephanie's place was wonderful. Had a lovely stay for 5 days. Beautiful view, very walkable spot, and televisions in both bedrooms, as well as living area, which was perfect for those occasions when one person is a night owl. The unit is very easy to locate, very clean and cozy, as well as the nice extras, like the kayaks. We didn't use them, but great to have the option. Very comfortable seating area, and beds. Stephanie had timely communication on every front, from pre-check in to departure. Really fun, and relaxing spot. Would absolutely return. Thank you so much, Stephanie!
