House vacation rentals in Sintra

We had a lovely few days at the pool house, family of four - adult children. We all really enjoyed the house and the space outside. The local surroundings were great for walks and runs, and we enjoyed exploring the local towns and beaches. A really great location for getting to know the area. Fantastic hosts, friendly and helpful. We would happily return.

Nicole is a great personne, warming welcome and flexible. Always answering, very clever. We had a really good time, pleasure to stay here.

We are locals and rented Mariana's place while we put the finishing touches into our new home which was delayed. Mariana was extremely helpful and understanding with our shifting check in and check out requirements given constant changes with mover and builder schedules. Mariana was so friendly and responsive. She sent us wonderful information to make the most of the area. Since we live here we didn't need it, but anyone coming for a visit will get the best of the best of the local experience. The house was perfect. Great location, great distribution. Great light. The pool was refreshing fun. Everything better than in the pictures and the description. If we ever need to refer anyone to a place to stay in Colares, Mariana's place will be top of the list. Highly recommended....and I have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world.

Such a beautiful place near to the beach, local restaurants and scenic spots. Sabine and Ana are very responsive and provided us with local recommendations which helped us a lot to see Sintra when we are in town. It may be tricky if you are driving due to the tight parking space, but other than that everything else is amazing.

Amazing place, the view is so incredible, we spent a really great time at the villa, it is peaceful, beautiful and private! If I come back to Portugal I would definitely want to come back! Thank you again for everything!

We were greeted by the lovely Sebina! She went over everything thoroughly in the house, made us feel right at home!! The home was warm and cozy for our entire family! Plenty of space for our children and a beautifully equipped kitchen! Many thanks to Sebina and Lee!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The house is stunningly designed. We especially loved the huge windows with stunning views of the garden. The towels and bed sheets were of amazing quality, the kitchen was fully equipped, the TV projector was amazing and the fact that the garden is so huge you that can go for a walk in it is mindblowing! And even though the weather wasn't sunny, the low clouds added a cozy atmosphere that made our stay feel even more special. Dinis was always responsive and available to answer any questions. The only thing was that while the listing mentioned parking on premises, it wasn’t available for us during our stay. This led us to park on the narrow, bumpy street outside. However, this was a minor inconvenience, and it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time here. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this place!

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

We really enjoyed staying in this quiet neighborhood. Overlooking the surroundings and the sea, the apartment has a great location for excursions to Sintra or Cabo da Roca.

The property is in the middle of picturesque Penedo, high up with views to the sea. Each room is designed with a lot of love for detail. The traditional style makes the little cottage very cozy and when you walk through the alleys of Penedo you discover beautiful gardens and wonderful houses everywhere.

We had a wonderful few days in this house It has everything you need and a wonderful view of the Sintra mountains and the Pena Palace. Very close, in Janas, there is a cooperative/supermarket of organic/ecological products, a bakery and two fantastic supermarkets with excellent wine cellars. Unbeatable! The family that owns the house lives on the property and helps with everything that is needed. Ana (the grandmother) is extremely friendly and proactive in taking care of everything to make guests feel at home. The outdoor space is very nice, flowery and sheltered. Excellent for breakfast or reading a book under the trees. Thank you all.

The home was lovely, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is quiet, yet very close to the Sintra National Palace (about 400m). The only warning I would have is that, if you are not a good walker, you might have trouble. The home cannot be accessed by taxi/Bolt/Uber or public transit, and to get to the Palace (for example), there is a moderately steep downhill, followed by a moderately steep uphill. Of course, Sintra is very hilly, so this should not be a surprise. :-) But we would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Sintra.

The housing was very clean and faithful to the pictures. Jorge and Alice were very amiable and ready to help us when needed. The environment and the view were extra nice. I recommend

We loved our stay at Madalena's place. The location is fantastic ... very close to everything Sintra has to offer, yet very quiet and peaceful. Had plenty of room and great views ... even had a place to park !

The host was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The place itself was cozy, clean, and had a lovely atmosphere that made it easy to relax. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful places around. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay! It's not a negative but make sure you have a car.

The location of this villa is absolutely unbeatable! It's right next to the famous Quinta da Regaleira, with stunning views of the Seteais Palace and beautiful grounds featuring a blooming garden and a lovely pool. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We booked the villa for my sister's bachelorette weekend as a group of 7 friends. It was the perfect base for exploring the magical town of Sintra, going on nature hikes, relaxing with drinks by the pool, and even taking a quick Uber into Lisbon for a fun night out. The combination of nature, charm, and accessibility made for a truly memorable stay. The property consists of two separate buildings, both with a more rustic, traditional feel. We found this added to the charm of the experience, and the bathrooms were surprisingly modern and comfortable. That said, the rustic vibe that comes with older buildings may not be for everyone. Something to keep in mind depending on your preferences.

We loved staying at Mario’s place. It was the perfect spot to unwind after the long trip in from the states. The place is well appointed and Mario has considered every detail. The views are spectacular and Mario is a fantastic host. Highly recommend!!

It was a lovely place, extremely clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Andreia was super kind and helpful with everything and very quick to respond to any messages or queries! The place was in a great location for us, just outside of Sintra’s main town so was nice and quiet with space to easily park next to apartment. Short drive to Cascais, many beaches and the forest for bouldering or cycling.

This place is amazing!!! One of my all time favorite airbnbs, and I have stayed in some great ones. We arrived after a long flight and Isabel greeted us with port, fresh bread and cheese. The home has everything you need, from beach umbrellas, a handmade shopping bag, and games for the kids, to toothbrushes, espresso, wine and milk. And you can see the ocean! The yard is so peaceful, with hammock and bean bags, outdoor dining table, fire pit, and a turtle. The kids loved visiting her five adorable dogs (in the backyard, you can avoid them if you don't like dogs) and parakeets. You can walk one block to a cafe, butcher, and store with all you need, and just a few blocks to the ocean. The home and yard is full of birdsong, breeze, and natural light, and there is a fireplace for colder months. She was also flexible with check out and brought an art kit over for my daughter. I already miss my time there.

The great house,everything very clean,has everything you need in the kitchen,my children were delighted with fox,we were able to try mandarinas that he offered us,and Jorge although we couldn't see us in person was always attentive to everything, totally recommended.
