New Family Country House

It is an early 20th century building, erected from a pre-existing construction that dates back to the XVIII c. confining the boundaries of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park. The building's architecture was inspired by the aesthetic movement of the ‘Portuguese House’ sought to find the roots of Portugal's ancestral traditional and rural architecture. The wooden ceilings, terracotta floors, thick stone masonry walls, attics, roof eaves and windows in traditional colors, stand out from this movement.

Pedro, 3 minutes away from the Sintra main park and just below the Gothic Santa Maria church originally dating from the 12th century, 15 minutes walking distance to the train station and to the Sintra palaces. Cooking is NOT allowed. FREE parking and breakfast included. A municipal tourist tax will be charged for overnight stays: 2 euros per person per night, up to a limit of 3 nights.
