Beachfront vacation rentals in Sintra

Danke Teresa, alles super für uns drei. Mit den drei Schlafzimmern war das optimal. Und auch der grosse Esstisch ist super für uns zum arbeiten gewesen. Werden uns beim nächsten Besuch wieder bei dir melden.

Amazing facility with a magnificent architecture inside. At first, we didn’t notice how special is this house, but after the first day we felt a great energy of it. With an open windows and clear sky you can see all the beauty of its lines and structure. Gardens and greens outside are fray and blossoming. Owners made a great place. Afonso met me with a very good impression and nice introduction. Thanks 🙏 saved this place as my favorite at this area ✨🙌

Absolutely the perfect place. The roof terrace was amazing for morning coffee and sunbathing, while in the evening it was such a cozy place to drink a few super bocks. Inside was modern with a clean bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed.

I feel completely rejuvenated! I came to relax, eat and hike and that's exactly what I got. You can follow the coast in either direction for miles, my pictures are incredible but they don't even do the scenery justice. We rented a car for the quick 40 minute ride to Lisbon. The home is beautiful, had everything we could possibly need and a quick little ride to the grocery for anything extra. If you need to get away from the busy and crazy this is the place!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft! Die Wohnung war insgesamt sehr sauber (9/10) und gut ausgestattet. Anfangs mussten wir uns zwar ein wenig zurechtfinden, da nicht alles sofort selbsterklärend war, aber nach kurzer Zeit hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Die Lage war wirklich top: Direkt am Meer, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichbar und gute Anbindung an die Umgebung. Zwar gibt es eine Straße direkt vor dem Haus, aber der Verkehr war absolut im Rahmen und hat nicht gestört. Der Kontakt zum Gastgeber war hervorragend – immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr gut erreichbar. Besonders gefallen hat uns die tolle Aussicht aufs Meer vom oberen Stockwerk sowie der schöne Pool. Alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht, war vorhanden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung, aber die Lage und Ausstattung haben den Aufenthalt für uns sehr angenehm gemacht. Es gab nichts, was uns wirklich gestört hat. Wir kommen wieder!

Genau wie erwartet. Ruhig, down to earth, nah an einem wenig besuchten Sandstrand und trotzdem Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, etc. in der Nähe. Und Claire ist eine tolle Gastgebenrin :-)

Rosa was a wonderful host, very kind and always available if we needed her. When we arrived late in the evening, Rosa made sure we had items to nibble on and drink to enjoy. We really enjoyed our stay, and can’t thank Rosa enough. Accommodation was lovely, a taste of Portugal within a good walking distance to restaurants and a short drive from Sintra. Lovely pool, quiet and beautiful setting to relax in. We felt very comfortable and could just enjoy ourselves stress free! Thanks Rosa for your consideration and kindness.

It was what we expected. The bathroom was a bit dirty, but I guess that’s a lot due to individual visitors not cleaning up after themselves. Overall short but fine stay. Thanks.

No other place I would rather stay. the access to beach, town, and hikes is all with ease. the house is well taken care of and great for family or a couple. The pictures actually do not do it justice! the beach you can walk to is the best beach i have ever been to. I don't hike, but I felt compelled by the beauty and hiked. also walking distance from house. stop looking, and book this place.

Pedro was a great and accommodating host. The place had some great views and would highly recommend. Check in would have been difficult, but was made easy via very clear and specific instructions with pictures from Pedro.

What a fantastic place. Spotless and felt very much like home. Weather wasn’t great but sure that’s out of everyone’s control. I would suggest having a car only because the microclimate meant you need to go over the mountain to find the sun!!🤪

La maison de Mário est idéalement bien située pour découvrir la région de Sintra et pour profitez des plages. Nous étions situés à 5min en voiture de la plage la plus proche et avons ainsi pu alterner plage et piscine. Les enfants ont grandement profité de la piscine et du jardin. La maison de plein pied est grande et adaptée pour les familles avec enfants. Mário est un hôte très sympathique et qui est resté disponible pendant tout le séjour pour les différentes questions que nous avons pu avoir. Nous recommandons sans autre cet hébergement.

The entire place is fantastic. The pool was great for the kids. We cooked steaks on the outside barbecue and they provided everything we needed to get the fire lit. The hiking both to the beach and along the cliffs was amazing and scenic and just a little scary! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Immediately upon arriving to the iron gate, little did we know the paradise that would await my fiance and I once we entered. From a beautifully manicured maze of edible plants, vegetables, fruits, a Lucious garden, chickens and duck to greet us after our long travels. We then walked a beautiful path past the stunning greenhouse built for entertaining, eating and viewing sunsets, to close in on the beautiful home. Inside, we were greeted by sun pouring in through every open window as the trade winds surround us in fresh air with views of exotic plants and the ocean past the cliffs and winding roads. The home has a gorgeous kitchen, large comfortable living room, bathroom and bedroom that reminds of a Grecian Villa. Every detail of the home is thoughtful and on purpose. Additionally, the hot tub was pure magic; encapsulated in wood, it was perfect to enjoy under the stars. I couldn’t rate this property any higher. 10 stars ⭐️ if I could. Gracious host and perfect property.

Miguel’s house is a bit further outside of the small city center, next to a gas station and the parking lots of the market. The Main Street runs directly in front of the house, so that it’s impossible to stop here to carry the luggage to the house. The beach is in a walkable distance where you find a view cafes and restaurants. The house itself is pretty new with a nice and bright furniture. Unfortunately if it rains there’s no place to eat. The only table is outside and gets pretty wet from the rain. The high chairs are a bit too high on the kitchen table. Another thing is that people who pass the house can watch inside the sleeping room. There are no curtains, either you close the (very beautiful) shutters and it’s totally dark or people can see you laying in bed. The whole house has a beautiful design. Everything was spotless clean with a good smell. The small garden is very green and well treated. In total I can highly recommend Miguel’s place.

Ralph is a very attentive and personable host who communicated well throughout our stay with great recommendations for the local area. The house itself is simple and was perfect for what we were looking for, no frills but good amenities and very well located. Praia das macas is a very beautiful place, we could have stayed much longer + will be back! If you are looking for a totally anonymous and self contained Airbnb experience then this probably isn’t for you as Ralph (host) is more present than we are typically used to with Airbnb - the check in is in person rather than keyless and so on. However, with the recommendations, provided maps and detail about the town it was a very welcome addition to have an English speaking host who actively wanted to provide a good experience. If you are considering this area - go! One of the best places we have ever visited as a couple and all of the locals were extremely friendly.

Die Wohnung ist perfekt gelegen und man hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Meer und ist auch innerhalb von 1 Minute direkt am Strand. Die Kommunikation war ebenfalls problemlos und die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Super, gerne wieder!

OMG - we LOVED our stay at this place! Exactly as described - the views from the terrace were breathtaking and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. We were 2 couples and this was perfect for us. It's a very unique place. The stairways are quite small, so not ideal for those with mobility issues, but we loved the charm! The restaurant nearby (walkable) was also great. If you are looking for a relaxing place with unbeatable views, you cannot beat this one!

Mario’s place was in an amazing location. It was incredibly clean, comfortable and well stocked. We very much enjoyed the patio and view and appreciated the umbrella and cushions. Mario himself was an amazing host; the best host we have encountered in any AirBNB or VRBO by far. He was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The welcome beverages, snacks and cheese were exceptionally generous and delicious. Mario messaged us in advance that there was unexpected construction in the unit next door and offered that we could cancel and ended up giving us a discount for the inconvenience. We really appreciated everything about this host and stay. We especially loved the hike to Ursa Beach as well as Adraga. We ubered to Sintra at Mario’s suggestion; it was under $20 and saved so much hassle. If you want to see the sights there, make your reservations in advance on the website. Thank you, Mario!

Wir haben 2 Wochen in Luis Ferienwohnung Urlaub gemacht. Haben uns dort wohlgefühlt, ruhige Lage und schöne Umgebung. Luis ist ein freundlicher und zuvorkommend Vermieter. Er war sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar für uns. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Staying on the bus house, as our little boy called it, was a great experience. Ana Rita was very helpful and friendly. I even got a flower for Portugese Mother’s Day! The beach is close by and plenty of amenities a short drive away. It is a peaceful location. The kids were very happy playing here.

This place is amazing!!! One of my all time favorite airbnbs, and I have stayed in some great ones. We arrived after a long flight and Isabel greeted us with port, fresh bread and cheese. The home has everything you need, from beach umbrellas, a handmade shopping bag, and games for the kids, to toothbrushes, espresso, wine and milk. And you can see the ocean! The yard is so peaceful, with hammock and bean bags, outdoor dining table, fire pit, and a turtle. The kids loved visiting her five adorable dogs (in the backyard, you can avoid them if you don't like dogs) and parakeets. You can walk one block to a cafe, butcher, and store with all you need, and just a few blocks to the ocean. The home and yard is full of birdsong, breeze, and natural light, and there is a fireplace for colder months. She was also flexible with check out and brought an art kit over for my daughter. I already miss my time there.
