Our charming townhouse from the 19th century is in the heart of the Middle Franconian small town of Lauf a.d. Pegnitz right next to the historic Wenzelschloss. It combines old sandstone walls with an urban lifestyle. In the immediate walking distance is the city center with good shopping, top restaurants and cafes. In about 25 minutes you can reach the city center of Nuremberg, the airport or the Nuremberg fairgrounds. The hiking paradise of Franconian Switzerland is also not too far away.

Hiking, biking, climbing and culture in Franconia

Apartment, on the first floor, two open sleeping areas (no closed rooms) climbing roof, balconies in all directions. A steep staircase leads to the sleeping roof! However, the double sofa bed is in the lower living area. Garden area with fireplace, outdoor sauna. Fully equipped kitchen, with gas stove. Spices are available, but you have to bring your own coffee. In summer, the service water is heated via the solar system. It may take some time for the heating to start when it is cloudy.

The Schloßberg is the starting point for beautiful hikes (Baumbilderweg, Hohenstein Castle, Rothenberg Fortress). The biker park offers challenges for cyclists. The nearby Igelwirt offers culinary specialities in Franconia. Breakfast buffet (registration the night before)! The Burgweg is located on the A9. Via the motorway in Nuremberg in about 30 minutes. The newly renovated house is located in Gräfenberg, the gateway to Franconian Switzerland, about 25 km from the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Perfect to reach by car or train. The house offers 4 bedrooms (three upstairs, one in the basement), a large living room with dining area, bathroom, kitchen and a conservatory and terrace with fantastic views! Bicycles can be safely stored in the lockable shed. Bed linen, towels and shower towels are provided, hairdryer is available.
