Vacation rentals in Silver Spring

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

It’s an older home. The walls and floor are super thin noise wise. This wasn’t an issue for us but something to note. Great walkable area. Several great parks, grocery stores, and restaurants nearby.

Teme was an excellent host and provided such a comfortable stay! 😊 the area was quiet and great for walking the dogs!

Rachel's place was beautiful, spotless, and really nice! She communicated with me quickly and we had a great stay.

Erin’s place is the cleanest Airbnb I’ve stayed at. The shower is huge and the water pressure is better than what I have at home. There’s plenty of room for luggage, and she supplies everything you would need for a nice little getaway. I’ll be booking through Erin every time I’m visiting Virginia.

My family and I spent the weekend in Washington, D.C., and we were fortunate to find Emily's place at the last minute after our previous arrangements fell through. It was a wonderful experience, and the hosts were lovely people! The only challenge we encountered was the noise in the early hours of the day. However, I don't consider this a complaint; it's just something to keep in mind when booking a co-living space. We discussed the possibility of noise with Emily beforehand, so again, it's something to be mindful of. Overall, meeting this interesting and cool family and their dog Charlie was a good experience and an absolute pleasure!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The space was the perfect getaway for us and our pup especially loved all the walks nearby the property! The space was clean and well-decorated and felt like a relaxing escape from the city. Martha was very responsive and gave great recommendations for places to eat and take hikes. She even provided treats for our pup, which he loved! We are definitely coming back soon!

I loved my stay! The place was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Self-entry made check-in super easy, and the apartment was equipped with all the necessities. The bathroom was a bit on the cozy side, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. Plus the location is just a short walk to the train, which made getting around really convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Zena's "Sunhouse" was just what we needed for a quick visit with our kids and grandkids nearby!

One of the coolest Airbnb’s we have stayed in. Loved the vibe, the wall of windows looking at the trees, and super comfy beds. Would defiantly stay here again.

This place was absolutely fantastic! The decor was beautifully done—stylish, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches. It was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The location was perfect, with great spots to walk around and explore nearby. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I would 100% stay here again. Five stars all the way around!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Basit House in Silver Spring. We didn't rent a car, but instead used the Metro (a 20 minute walk) for all of our DC sightseeing. We stopped at the grocery store on the way to the house each night to buy our supper - it was very convenient.

This stay was MAGICAL. Every day we’d open the windows and the whole apartment would echo with the sound of wind between the leaves of the trees, the chatter of birds, the rustle of nature’s life outside. It is a hidden gem. We chose Alison’s place because we hoped to rest and recharge… and more than that happened. We were rested, recharged and inspired. It was homely and comfortable it was difficult to leave! We didn’t have a car, but the area was walkable and the station/metro was close. And the best part - the kitchen! I’m a chef by profession and that kitchen had everything. This is above what I’ve ever experienced in an Airbnb. Alison was super responsive and even more kind. She was genuine with her recommendations of places to see.

Me and my fiancé had a great stay and enjoyed the surrounding area. It was very peaceful and the views at night were amazing. Would recommend!

Our stay was very enjoyable, we loved the well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The location was central for our needs and we would recommend it to anyone who needed to stay in this area. Evans place was just terrific for our needs. It was clean and bright. The kitchen was roomy and well stocked. The bathroom was clean, well lit, equipped with switch for extra warm air, and the shower had great pressure. The sheets and bedding were pretty and soft. The outside lighting was good, and the area felt safe. Evans was helpful, responsive and friendly. We will definitely come back again. Thanks Evans!
