In a Faluröd log cabin on a farm, you will have the opportunity to experience the best Dalarna can offer. In the heart of Siljansnäs you will find this small farm cottage with room for three people. The cottage was renovated 2023, the bathroom 2018. Within walking distance there is a kiosk and grocery store as well as a little further up the village there is a cafe, hotel and mini golf. 200 meters from the front door is Byrviken, an excellent swimming area. Within a 20 minute drive there is also Tegera Arena, Granberget's ski slope and cross-country skiing.

A wooden deck leads to a charming entrance with two white chairs beside a small table. A sheltered pergola provides a shaded seating area, while lush greenery surrounds the property, and a clear blue sky completes the serene outdoor setting.

It is about 5 km to Tällberg and 7 km to Leksand. There is space to park a car next to the shelter in the yard. Shower and toilet have a separate entrance downstairs. Cleaning is not included.

The cottage has two smaller bedrooms with two single beds in each bedroom, a large living room with TV and kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. Garden furniture and barbecue are provided. The cottage is adjacent to our holiday home and has its own parking. A few minutes walk for swimming in Siljan.

In 1965, a small cottage was built for the owner's daughter Astrid, so she could visit. Astrid soon became the owner of the entire farm, and the cottage wasn't going to be used much. Until now!

We had a very nice time in the accommodation. The cabin is very nicely located with great views of the river and forest. The hot tub and sauna in particular are clearly a highlight. The location is private and undisturbed. Unfortunately, no wardrobes were available. As mentioned in advance, the water has a slight smell, color and taste. That's why we preferred bottled water. Tobias and Nick provided detailed and helpful information and answered questions quickly and reliably. We were happy to be her guests.

We had an amazing time. Martin and Camilla are fantastic hosts, super friendly, helpful, and gave us lots of greats tips. The place is cosy, spotless, and has everything you'd need, even if you're staying a while. We especially loved the terrace, perfect for a BBQ, with a nice view of the really awesome horse and pony. Privacy is excellent, you really feel like you have your own space. The gym and store are both just a short walk away, which was incredibly convenient. It's also a great area for evening walks. We also got to use the bikes and canoe, which was a big bonus, we had some great adventures with those. Spring is a great time to be in the area too, its nice and quiet and there is a lot you can do. Getting to interact with the animals was a highlight for us. Martin and Camilla are also really interesting, kind people. We genuinely felt sad to leave and wished we could've stayed longer. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Irene was very nice and helpful . Was very nice to find a house warm and with welcoming lights inside ! Inside everything was clean and we found kitchen full equipped. Place is very beautiful, close to the lake . Thank you very much for hosting us !
