Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

This is the second year we have stayed at the cottage and we absolutely love it. The view from the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee is one of my favorite parts of Iceland. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need for a stay of any length. Gummi is an excellent host - kind, flexible and response. The final special touch is the hot tub. This is one of the few homes with one. So nice to relax after a day of skiing . We will be back!

The apartment is perfect for a short period of time. It’s not far from Akureyri by car, just about a 15 minute drive away. Good place to watch northern lights from the balcony overlooking the fjord. Room was spacious and kitchen was supplied with the basics.

Sigrun's house is very lovingly and individually decorated. I felt very comfortable there right away. A highlight for me was the fantastic view of a part of the harbor and the mountains opposite, simply great. I could also see the "Síldarstúlkan" (Herring Girls) directly from there, which I have grown very fond of. 🤗 Everything was very clean and superbly equipped, nothing was really missing. In addition, the location is ideal for exploring the picturesque Siglufjörður on foot or shopping in the nearby small supermarket. Hostess Sigrun was exceptionally friendly, always quickly accessible and very accommodating. I was particularly pleased with the handwritten welcome greeting. A really nice and personal gesture.

We loved staying at Guðbjörg's house! It was comfortable, friendly, clean, and convenient, but mostly friendly! thanks to the familial atmosphere. The house is perfectly located up on the hill. It has everything one's need for holidays ; it is spacious and warmly arranged. In Siglu, there are many nice activities: a swimming pool, the hering museum, the forest, hikes etc.
