Glacier Suite - Bright & Cheerful

MaureenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This may have been one of the best airbnb’s I have stayed in. Best parts: Location was quiet and close to tons of non downtown things (grocery store, Mendenhall Glacier, etc) Looked exactly like the photos Bed and linens were amazingly comfortable Fridge/freezer made it easy to get snacks and keep them cold, including keeping ice frozen to use as ice packs in our lunch box Nice chairs/table to have somewhere to sit besides bed Free parking Youtube tv included Five minutes from the airport Highly recommend for a home base for a Juneau adventure

Under Thunder House

This was a great place for our family to stay while in Juneau - very quiet and convenient, plus a beautiful view of Thunder Mountain right from the kitchen window. Norton was very helpful and polite. We’d definitely stay there again.

High-end, convenient, new build!

The price of this Airbnb is about the same as other hotels in the area but there is no comparison. I would 100% recommend this BNB to anyone staying in Juneau. Easy check in, beautiful view, safe location. It really checked all the boxes for me and my son.

Lovely 1-Bedroom with Spectacular View

NevaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had the most wonderful stay at Rungsri's AirBnB. It truly couldn't have been better. I arrived late in the evening and Rungsri was right there to show me the environs. I didn't have time to purchase supplies, but there was coffee, oatmeal, healthy fruit bars there in the morning. I enjoyed the spectacular views of the snowcapped mts. and the never-ending hiking loops. Shops and supplies and some fun restaurants are close-by, a ten-minute drive. I had a little down-time in the afternoons to enjoy the grand vistas, including Bald Eagles, with their enormous wing spans, checking out their local dive spots. I befriended the hens and roosters, the pups, and I felt completely comfortable, welcomed, and content...and grateful!

Overnight / daybed room

Tom is a wonderful host. I had to disembark a cruise in Juneau at 8 am but my flight wasn't happening until 7 pm so I sighned up with Tom to rent his room for the day. He halfed my charge due to me not spending the night which was above the call of duty and unexpected. I told him that wasn't necessary but he kept the change. He offered to take me around Juneau to the Mendenhall Glacier and St.Teresa's Shrine and other places. We had a lovelly picnic lunch at the beach and he took me to the airport on time. I couldn't have asked for a better host. Sign up with Tom and you will be pleased.

Capital Cottage

Definitely nice property, and very friendly and considerate host (big shoutout to Molly)! Lots of amenities, and peaceful environment. The city is small, so anywhere in downtown is walkable. The house is close to the Cope park, a beautiful sight to check out. We went there at the end of Sept, among the most rainy times. If you want to go hardcore hiking like the west glacier trail, I will recommend waterproof boots. We met a black bear there! Transportation in Juneau is generally convenient -- buses (remember to bring cash), Uber/Lyft (generally accessible during daytime), and bike rental (to nearby communities like Thane). The weather is very unpredictable, so please prepare more than one plan, and choose one based on the weather. On my last day, it was good in the morning, but rained heavily since afternoon and thus my flight was delayed by >3h. In short, Juneau is an amazing place in summer (especially May-Aug). The city itself is much prettier than Anchorage and Fairbanks.
A serene view showcases a glacier nestled among the mountains, framed by evergreen trees and a gentle river. Snow blankets parts of the foreground, contrasting with the glacial blue in the background under a cloudy sky.
