Star Cottage, Harbottle, Rothbury, Northumberland

What an amazing find! it is a beautiful little village next to a pub that serves excellent food, best mushroom risotto I have ever had! We walked up a nearby hill to Drakes stone and the view was great, we looked around the ruin castle in the village and did a walk by the river all without having to get in a car. Location was peaceful and quiet and our dog had the best time ever. I highly recommend this place, the cottage itself is spotless and has everything you need utensils and appliance wise. There is a small shop in the pub next door. Karen communicated really well and I would definitely stay here again. We also travelled to nearby places such as Craster, Alnwick, Rothbury and Kielder from here and although it is a little journey the scenery is well worth it.

Stunning two bedroom stable cottage Glanton Pyke

LesleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A wonderful short break. The cottage is beautifully designed, with gorgeous furnishings and decor, and has everything you need, as well as being spotlessly clean. All the little details are lovely. The shower is amazing, the sofa very comfy, and the fire looked tempting but we didn't need it (sadly!), as the cosy underfloor heating kept us lovely and warm. The setting is peaceful, with a view of the private garden from the kitchen, and the walled garden is very special. We enjoyed trips to the lovely Northumberland coast, about a 30-40 minute drive away, as well as a walk from the door. This was one of the loveliest cottages we've ever stayed in, and we plan to return at some point.

Cheerful and Cosy Cottage in an Idyllic Setting

Kingfisher Cottage was a perfect base for our time away. We would highly recommend staying here. It was the most peaceful place we have stayed in the UK. Northumberland holds a special place in our heart and this just added to the experience. Olga let us know we could check in earlier and there were some lovely treats when we arrived. Thank you 😃

Great location. A really cosy country retreat. Very well appointed kitchen...equipped for real cooking! Very responsive hosts before & during our stay. Lots of helpful pre-visit information supplied, especially good places to eat like the Fish Shack at Amble & The Angler's Arms in Weldon - both dog and dog owner friendly!

Oak Tree Cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. We attended a wedding at Le Petit Chateau and the cottage was only a minutes walk across the road. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped. We highly recommend this place to others. Only down side is there is no WiFi and signal is a bit ropey.
