The house was spotless and had everything you could need, including a fully stocked kitchen and some snacks. The bathroom had an unlimited supply of towels and toiletries, and even some razors and a cute toothbrush with toothpaste. If you’re planning to stay longer than four days, they’ve got cleaning supplies too. That really made a difference for me since I travel with my pack of seven. We had a blast in the hot tub and playing pool and board games and arcade machine and shuffle table board. My kids loved it and they had activities while we rest.

Plenty of room for our family!! Loved we could relax and had room for kids to have their own space. Loved the decor and how clean the house was! Beautiful home! Right down the road from our family so it was perfect! Will be staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Girls trip(6) of us. Plenty of space for us. Very clean! So cozy, felt like home. Great location! Large deck with beautiful peaceful lake views! A hammock , hot tub and fire pit topped off the great outdoor space! Would definitely recommend !

My family and I stayed during Memorial Day Weekend. We had such a nice time. They had just renovated the patio so we got to enjoy that a lot. We had fires every night, fished during the day, went to the nearby restaurants, just enjoyed family time sitting outside. Charles was very friendly and helpful, quick to respond. The house had most everything you can think of that you would need for the stay. The house is very open so plenty of room. The neighbor was really nice as well, he walked over to help me start the fire the first night. We were supposed have a boat but it was chilly, so we decided not to, but there is a dock for if you bring your own. We had a great family weekend :)

What a beautiful spot! If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and pristine spot near Ohio U and Hocking Hills, this is a MUST book. Emily was extremely accommodating with early check in and late check out so we could soak up as much quiet time as possible. The deck is a perfect morning coffee spot with plenty of bird species visiting regularly. A comfortable bed, a chef inspired kitchen, and great local recommendations rounds out a perfect reservation. After a long day hiking in Hocking or just exploring Athens (which is super eclectic and really fun!) Emily’s home is the perfect place to rest and unwind. I will definitely be booking again. Thank you for everything!

This was our first visit at Monica‘s house and it won’t be the last! It was perfect for our family of four, with three bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor space in the back. We visited Thornville for an event at Legend Valley and being five minutes away was fantastic. Monica is super helpful and responsive to every question that we had. The house was tidy and clean, with a kitchen that had all of the amenities that we needed. The shower was hot and strong. Buckeye Lake is a beautiful place to walk as well.

Good stay. Would rent again. The beds were the worst part of the stay. One bedroom so soft it hurts your back and the other bedroom squeaks every time you move. With that being said. We had a beautiful fire every night, went down to the pond on a cute little path just by our cabin (paddle boats, kayak, fishing), and the pool was refreshing during the day with hot tub time at night. All conveniently located. We came on a family trip to Hike hocking Hills, hit the Columbus Zoo, and even a day trip to lake Logan. Beautiful peaceful trip And location to unplug. The cabin is a little hard to find in the dark but as long as you see the blue barn you drive right up to it. Overall great time and 5*. Price is a little high but the family time makes it worth it.

We attended an event at Burr Oak Lodge, and Steven’s place was a beautiful 12 minute drive to the lodge. We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, cute, and super inviting. Everything was exactly as described, and it felt like a cozy home away from home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and charming spot. The host went the extra mile by providing a case of drinking water, new plush towels and pillows, and a binder that included information about the home as well as things to enjoy in the area. We already want to go back to enjoy the lake and the Buckeye trail!

Nathan was a great host and I highly recommend his place. We had a couple questions and he responded very quickly and was very helpful and very friendly! There is hiking, the marina and beach right there with restaurants close by! 100% recommend

This house is a gem, very beautiful on the inside. Our children loved the loft aspect, the hot tub was nice, the space was great for family meals and movie nights when it rained. The backyard was peaceful, with the fire pit and being fenced in.

We really enjoyed our time at Shome on the Lake at Buckeye Lake. I wanted a quiet place with our own personal pool and hot tub for a relaxing vacation with my kids and it did not disappoint. Aaron was very kind and quickly responded to any inquiries. He did not hesitate to ensure we had everything needed to have a pleasant stay. We went catfishing nearby on the lake and caught many very nice sized fish. Pulled in two ginormous catfish right off the dock of the BNB but unfortunately they snapped the line before we got them all the way out of the water. The little cove where the house sits is perfect for kayaking. Considering that for our next trip! We had such a fun time and will certainly be back. Thank you Aaron for all you did for us while on our trip. We sincerely appreciate you!

This was such a great experience for us. It was exactly what we wanted yet somehow even better than we had hoped for. Jennifer was so kind and helpful. It was honestly a dreamy couple of days for us at the magical treehouse. Memories that will last us for a very long time. 10/10 would recommend. We cannot wait to come back!

Scott’s place is exactly as described, small yet comfortable. The yard area is very relaxing and inviting. We saw quite a a few wildlife in the area even spotting a white tail deer near the property. Scott is very responsive and friendly.

We had a wonderful time at Buckeye Lake and enjoyed the accommodations. Large back yard, covered front porch and newly remodeled inside. View of the lake. Pet friendly.

Had a great stay while playing some golf courses in the area. Plenty of beds and large living rooms! Would definitely come back!

We love this house! The house itself is so inviting and beautiful. It is spacious and you can't beat the views from either porch. The hosts are very responsive. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Cozy Cottage is an utterly unique farmhouse architecturally beautifully designed and set on a unique Ohio cattle farm. The family in combination with our host Liz's sophisticated eye created magic. Hand made local antique ceramics, linens, a stocked breakfast supply on request in the smeg fridge, beautiful bedding plus modern and antique comfortable furniture perfectly and effortlessly make this a truly a special Airbnb. The cottage is a quick drive to Wheeling which has a great restaurant, Good Mansions Wines was our go to for gourmet food plus the cottage is a 20min drive to Dysart Woods a first growth Appalachian forest: this is my personal favourite area. We saw many birds around our cottage, a local groundhog, wild deer, hawks and fed the nearby delightful horses carrots !. Nearby you can walk to the lake and see the beavers. I highly recommend staying at the Cozy Cottage I had a wonderful work trip here. Thank you Liz & family I'd adore to return !
