Cottage vacation rentals in Seneca County

We all loved staying at Alec’s place. It was a beautiful house, very clean and well stocked. Linda met us at the door and gave us a guided tour as well as suggestions on where to shop. The view of the lake is beautiful and if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, I would definitely recommend staying here!

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

Loved this lake side cottage!! It was perfect for us to meet up with extended family. Beds very comfortable! All the base necessities were there, the view is amazing! We had a blast fishing and swimming, and also kayaking!!!! There is a lot of room between the bedrooms, living room, covered patio, dock and yard to not feel cramped. Appreciate the laundry room, much needed when in and out of the lake. Lastly I asked for extra hour to visit with family since we were going right to airport and they answered back quickly no problem.

Peppermint Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! The scent of peppermint welcomed us upon our arrival. The fireplace and wide-plank floors created a perfect ambiance as we enjoyed the comfortable, cozy living room. The beds were comfy and the sheets crisp and clean. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to visit again someday.

We had the best family get away!! Great views from the house, kitchen has everything you need, the hot tub and fire pit were awesome bonuses and overall the place was excellent! We rent a lakefront getaway at least twice and year and this one was one of if not the best places we’ve stayed! Hosts are super nice, quick to answer any questions you have, and check in/out were super easy. And if you’re bass fishing, this is the perfect spot. 11/10!!

We had such a great girls weekend and it was a very short walk to the lake which had breathtaking views and the water was clean we went in with our water floats, close to some great restaurants and the home was immaculate with a great outdoor space, I think it was meant to be because I bought my girlfriends totes and beach towels that said GETAWAY just for the trip and as we were leaving we saw on the business cards that the home was called the Getaway !!! Too ironic ….. :) Thank you , would definitely stay again !!!

We had a great time here on the lake. The house was stocked with kitchen needs, water activities, towels, comfortable bedding, coffee, and bathroom amenities. We spent most of our trip swimming in the lake, kayaking, and sitting in the hot tub. Great location to Watkins glen and the wine trail. Would love to come back for another trip!

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary at this lovely cottage surrounded by fields of grapes and a beautiful view and lake setting. We were very comfortable and enjoyed all the surrounding nature, restaurants and wineries. Mary was very responsive and gave us perfect directions and information. We definitely would stay at this Cozy Cottage again!

Beautiful location, house was just the right size, my sisters and I had a great time despite the rain and chilly temperatures. Loved that the house was right on the water.

Had a wonderful weekend getaway! Right across the street from Lakeshore Winery and not even a 10 min drive from plenty others. Beautiful location on the lake, would highly recommend and would def come again!

Place is described exactly as Vic says. The small bathroom will be an issue for someone over 6' tall. There is only one dresser, but there are plenty of hangers and places to hang things. The sunsets are fantastic. We got very acclimated to the place very quickly. It was enjoyable sitting on the deck and watching the world go by very slowly. Lots of birds were around on the lake and nearby. Visiting Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge is a must. The Aurora Inn walk was great and the Aurora farmers market is fun. Enjoy !!

Cottage number 2.: The cottages are located within a very nice campground on Seneca Lake. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and delivered firewood.The Cottage has a private lakefront with a dock which is separate from the campground. The water is clear and shallow. I would recommend bringing supportive shoes to walk up and down the staircase to the lake. The location is absolutely amazing. It is in the middle of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. There is lots to do nearby such as child and dog friendly wineries , breweries and an impressive creamery. The campsite cottage is actually off of a road to an interesting winery on the lake. It was full of historical information- they engaged my 10 yr old by asking him questions about the home and what he noticed- pointing out facts such as the tax on windows in the 1800’s. Bring all of your creature comforts from home. Jared is wonderful and responsive. We planned accordingly from reviews- didn’t have any leash law issues. Close to state parks

This house was perfect for what we needed. We were in town for a wedding. 5 minute walk to the Inn, which was incredibly convenient. Also within a 5 min drive of restaurants and the state park. Fit a four person family plus two grandparents comfortably.

Had a great stay. Loved the location and everything provided to enjoy the stay for 2 nights. Would love to return!

This is a great spot right on the lake! We slept 12 comfortably despite it appearing to be small square footage. The double decks and lake front access are an outdoor lovers dream, with close proximity to tons of wineries and breweries. The walk down to the lake is very steep so I’d recommend practical footwear. Only other word of caution is we found quite a few spiders in the house, not surprising given the nature setting. I’d book this place again!

We stayed at this beautiful location during my son’s Hobart and William Smith’s commencement weekend. It was perfectly located and near many attractions but felt very private and peaceful. It is a spacious 2 bedroom open concept home and the water views are stunning. Very clean and well stocked for a comfortable stay. Wonderful coffee bar and everything you need to cook a great meal. We didn’t spend much time in the house but wished we had booked for longer to enjoy it a bit more. Super comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and nice linens. Plenty of blankets and towels and very nicely decorated. VIBE the rental agency was responsive and answered all my questions right away. I would highly recommend this rental.

The cottage was perfect for what my wife and I were looking for. It is right on the beautiful Seneca Lake and within a close proximity to various wineries. Check in could not have been easier and the place was super clean. We would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay loved the area and the wonderful wineries will definitely be coming back. So much to do in the immediate area. Their recommendations were some of the best wineries we tried.

Wow - what a fantastic lakeside retreat! There must be 6 different places to sit/gather outside - the fire table was especially nice for sipping some Riesling on a chilly night. Well equipped kitchen, and lots of amenities (including kayaks if so inclined). Very quiet surroundings (we were there during the week-end, too), but you have to watch out for the seagulls - they like to hang out on the deck. Great location is within 1/2 hour of many excellent wineries and restaurants. Would definitely return here the next time we are in FLX!
