Historic Lakeside Retreat

This home was built in 1927. It was once located downtown where the First Baptist Church of Sebring sits today. My great-grandfather was an elder in the church. They auctioned the home off to expand. They said, "Mr. Elder will you open the bid." He bid $1,000 and was the only bid. He moved the house to Lake Charlotte where it remains today.
