Monthly Rentals in Scaling Dam

This was my second visit to Jamie's place in Hinderwell, and I really can't fault it. The house is airy and spacious while still being cozy, in a lovely peaceful location. Perfectly placed for visiting Runswick Bay, Staithes, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. As a host Jamie responds quickly to all questions and provided lots of helpful local info before we arrived including places to eat, public transport and surrounding areas to visit. I would highly recommend this house to anyone, you wont be disappointed. I will definitely stay again, thanks Jamie.

Idyllic, just what we needed, quiet, private setting, weather a bit ..... but that's to be expected that far north. Private field for our dog to explore, outside space to relax. Host very good too, popped in to say hello and check all was ok then left us to it but was on site so if we did need anything. would recommend and if we head north again would defo stay again.

We had a lovely four day stay, on a working dairy farm, within the North Yorkshire Moors. Despite several hundred cows in the near vicinity, we found the accommodation to be extremely peaceful and relaxing. A great base from which to explore both the moors and the nearby coast. The accommodation is spacious, and well laid out, offering everything that you might need for a stay. Barbara and Andy were extremely friendly and gregarious, and we enjoyed a lovely chat with them, over a beverage, in their own home. We were also lucky enough to be given a guided tour of the milking parlour by Barbara, which we found both fascinating and informative. If you're looking for a well appointed place to stay, in a quiet, rural setting, this is an ideal choice, and we hope to return soon.

We absolutely loved staying at Staithes View! Quiet, beautiful, definitely off the beaten track, the location was just what we wanted and exactly as Dawn described. The house itself was very comfortable, with lots of attention to detail and comfort. Even though pubs and shops are not within walking distance, there are plenty of options by car (though, to be fair, not many at 7 pm on a Sunday). Dawn had some excellent suggestions, and was a friendly and responsive host. It is the perfect place from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the wonderful coastal towns and villages. Equally, it would be a delightful place just to spend a few days in a peaceful and beautiful location and not go anywhere at all!
