Be adventurous , something completely different

Located in the north-western part of the island ,its an amazing location protected by conservation laws that have kept the area free of over development. With epic mountain and sea-views (the photos don't do it justice) the tents are located 450m above the coastline. If a place to relax and unwind is what you after then this would be the place to come to. There are also some amazing levada walks to explore in the area.There are three tents on the property so you might have neighbours.

Lots of cooking equipment and the possibility of sitting on the balcony or indoors. Very pleasant and well decorated accommodation. I still recommend having earplugs especially if you want to sleep late, because as is often the case in youth hostels, there is noise in the morning.

Nasrin is an extremely kind and responsive host, a host like few others on Airbnb. The accommodation is ideally located to be away from Funchal and to have access to the entire southern part of the island. We arrived in a home prepared with care down to the details. I would 100% recommend this host and this place. ☺️

The kitchen was shared between the occupants of 3 apartments and the bathroom was for 2 apartments which was not a problem, each making the effort to keep these common areas clean. Graciella is a friendly, smiling, available host who regularly maintains the common areas. The car can be parked in front of the house. The small town of San Vicente has all amenities (restaurants, bakery, grocery store)
