House vacation rentals in Sao Vicente

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful, pristine, peaceful home. Well equipped kitchen. Maria has thought of everything. The outside space was really great, plenty of space to enjoy the pool along with the outside kitchen BBQ. We walked to the botanical gardens which was 10 minutes away. Two small supermarkets and bakery 3 minutes walk from the house. We walked in Funchal several times and caught a taxi home. Lovely climate and beautiful surroundings.

We really enjoyed the accommodation! (family of 6 people) This one is well located, a beautiful view, very peaceful and private place. It is very well equipped, heated pool (for €30/day), barbecue available, very spacious and clean. Which makes it a great value. We recommend it!

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were hosted very well by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and communication was great. It took 8 minutes to drive to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and, personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

We loved our two weeks at this location. Superb views over the ocean and the surroundings. All we needed in the house was present and clean. Very peaceful neighbourhood (although we were a little unlucky to have roadworks ongoing). Amazing private pool (with an extra bathroom)! Carolina was super friendly and always available for questions. Would love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!!

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

We really enjoyed staying with Valter and Marlene. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable. The hosts were always immediately available and very friendly. The roof terrace was the highlight of the apartment. The place was a bit remote and there was nothing special to see. But if you want peace and quiet, it's just the thing. 😊

Finding a better host is really hard. The AirBnB is super clean and perfectly equipped. Ana was always there for us with all questions. She also wrote a really great travel guide. If we flew back to Madeira, we would not hesitate to take an AirBnB from her.

Such an amazing space! Our family highly enjoyed our stay. The home is more beautiful than the pictures. The pool was lovely and the location was great for hiking as well as trips to Funchal. We would love to come back again!

Very peaceful and private location, stunning scenery all the way around.. You can see the sea between the mountains from the front. Loved lying on the sun loungers taking in the view. Clean modern house. Well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Miguel was very helpful and friendly - he met us for check-in and showed us around the house and garden. He provided lots of recommendations for places to see, restaurants etc. He left us lots of fresh fruit, biscuits and drinks, and brought us fresh eggs and some passion fruits. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely go back.

Eva's place is in a beautiful spot with the most amazing views from the first floor. Her home is comfortable and well equipped and we felt very settled throughout our holiday stay. Her instructions to the house are very clear-a small rental car certainly helps for the driving both to Eva's place and in Madeira in general especially if you are going off the beaten track. We had a great holiday .

This is my favorite air bnb ice ever stayed in! The house is wonderful and the bed is comfy. The pool and the views were out of this world! It was so nice to drink morning coffee and look at the ocean and the mountains. Sophia, who takes care of the grounds and cleaning, was so kind and helpful! The fridge was stocked with eggs, fruits, and cheese and there was a fresh bread delivery every morning. Sophia even did our laundry for us. It was the best stay ever and there are delicious restaurants within walking distance. I had a tricky time getting into the property because my cellphone didn’t have service and I couldn’t connect to the WiFi because I wasn’t in range. So I couldn’t use the app on my phone to get in. The host was very responsive and let me in and I was able to use the house key for the remainder of the trip. Definitely book this place, you’ll love it!

Absolutely brilliant place! So comfortable and clean and it has everything you need.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! The house is extremely clean and matches the pictures perfectly. We even had freshly stocked groceries when we arrived which was a huge plus after 3 long flights. This location is so close to many delicious restaurants and the beach. We absolutely loved the pool and sun bed. 10/10 recommend!!! We already want to plan another trip back 🩷 THANK YOU!

So most of the things were as described. the bathroom smell was resolved once opened up everything to air out. Parking was a issue a few times but we were gone most of the days driving the island. When we returned we had parking. Our critical thing but not huge was bed frame is a bit squeaky so when I would move wold wake my wife. and with jet lag was a issue not being back to sleep. The tricky thing to get in is key correct orientation. The little dot/bump on the key is to be in the 12 o'clock position, then like a commercial lock turn full rotations to have bolts open. this was a little tricky first time in the dark. other than that we had a fantastically good time here and would highly recommend for those that love the sea air and waves putting you to sleep. one more thing the restaurant nearby does party on Sat nite till 2am hahaha but we knew that as well.

A great place to stay in Madeira

We felt very comfortable with Patricia, her dad Carlos was always there for us and super nice. We were also able to contact Patricia at any time. The location of the accommodation was perfect for exploring the city and for excursions, the views are breathtaking. As many others have written before me, the accommodation clearly exceeds the photos. It is very spacious for 2 people over 2 floors. In addition, a balcony and terrace and a small green garden. We are thrilled. Very loving, family facility, flooded with light, well-equipped kitchen, welcome gift. We also met in person - Filipe is a very friendly, attentive host. Everything was perfect.
