Pet-friendly vacation rentals in São Domingos de Rana

We just finished a fabulous five night stay and highly recommend. Gui greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the home. It is a historic home so there are some quirks, though nothing crazy. The house was a perfect size for our party of 8 (ages 12-70). The location absolutely cannot be beat - we never walked more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go which was much appreciated at the end of the night! There is noise as the home is centrally located but that is a worthwhile trade off for the location. Washer (line dry) worked well and there were umbrellas, towels, sand toys, etc for the beach. We did not cook at the house so cannot provide a review but kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There is only AC in two of the rooms but there are shutters that help keep the heat of the day out and there were two fans available as well. Especially for the price and location, this is a great home for a large group.

Parfait pour un voyage en famille avec 3 chambres et une très belle surprise avec une mezzanine très lumineuse afin de profiter de bon moment, cela permet aussi d’avoir un coin TV pour ceux qui le souhaite. Petit piscine agréable mais non chauffé à prendre en considération. 2 salles d’eau très agréable en famille et un chambre un peu séparée pour les enfants. Très bon accueil et conseil de la propriétaire. Proche de Sintra et de l’océan avec une vraie tranquillité. Je recommande

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

Great place. Close to the ferry station, bakeries and markets nearby, amazing views of Lisbon. The house had everything we needed; the host provided the kitchen and bathroom essentials. We felt right at home. One little issue, the beds were not very comfortable.

Très bonne hôte! Elle nous as reçu avec beaucoup d’informations et des bonnes recommandations pour restaurant et visite de Lisbonne. Le ménage était impeccable. Cependant, il y avait une odeur d’humidité présente. Peut-être juste les bâtiments en béton qui cause ceci que nous sommes pas habitué à cette odeur au Québec. Le petit coin intime est invitant! Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

Un séjour parfait. Maison très propre identique aux photos, située dans un quartier très calme et proche des plages. Parfait pour un WE prolongé ou même une semaine de vacances. Les prestations proposées sont excellentes. Accueil très chaleureux, je recommande.

Um refúgio perfeito! Que descoberta incrível! Desde o momento em que chegamos, sentimos a paz e tranquilidade que tanto buscávamos. O lugar é um verdadeiro oásis de serenidade, ideal para quem precisa escapar do ritmo frenético da cidade. Nossos dois pets também adoraram o jardim e o amplo espaço para corridinhas e brincadeiras! A acomodação estava impecavelmente limpa e decorada com muito bom gosto - simples, mas elegante. A cozinha bem equipada nos permitiu preparar refeições deliciosas sem maiores problemas. A piscina foi, sem dúvida, o ponto alto da nossa estadia. Água cristalina em temperatura perfeita, cercada por espreguiçadeiras confortáveis e vegetação exuberante! Os anfitriões foram extremamente atenciosos, nos receberam com muita simpatia e estavam sempre disponíveis quando precisamos, mas respeitando completamente nossa privacidade. Já estamos planejando nossa próxima visita. Este lugar ganhou um lugarzinho especial em nossos corações!

Mario and his place were fantastic!! The location was great, with easy access to the sights and the metro. Mario was super helpful and responsive. Absolutely loved my stay at his place. Would definitely stay there again!!

Christina was extremely helpful and an excellent host. As a superhost myself, I would absolutely rate this place a 5 star. Her level of communication was excellent providing us with a driver and great local recommendations. I highly recommend having a hired driver while visiting the area if you want to travel outside the square.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in de woning van Lenita. Het is een mooie plek om een aantal nachten door te brengen. Er zijn mooie stranden en leuke restaurantjes in de omgeving, de supermarkt ligt om de hoek. De tuin is een rustige en groene oase midden in een stedelijke omgeving, heel bijzonder.

Rafael foi muito prestativo e atencioso, atendeu todos os pedidos de ajuda, indicou espaços ao redor para refeição logo a nossa chega e a coisa mais marcante foi nos permitir ter um late check out, até a hora bem próxima ao nosso voo, que foi no turno da noite. Ficaremos eternamente grato pois não sabíamos aonde ficar para aguardar o voo. Recomendo

If you want to enjoy the nature of Portugal, feel the ocean breeze, and be amazed every day by the incredible scenery visible from the balcony, the kitchen, and the bedroom — this place is definitely worth your attention. Every time you look out the window, you’re met with a breathtaking view that photos simply can’t capture. Some advantages: the location is excellent. If you’re planning to explore the nearby beaches, this apartment is perfect. If you’d like to visit Lisbon, it’s also very convenient — you can take a reasonably priced taxi or a train, which is also very easy. There are supermarkets nearby where you can get groceries, and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal — all within short distance from the apartment. The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

Not only does it look exactly like the photos—spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean—but the hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The location is excellent, with easy parking that is either free or very affordable. But what truly sets this Airbnb apart is the incredible attention to detail. Adriana and her team provided so many thoughtful extras—cereal for the kids, a bottle of wine, plenty of milk, water, coffee, and even pantry essentials like pasta, perfect in case you arrive late and can’t go shopping. This level of hospitality is rare on Airbnb and truly makes a difference. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with hosts who genuinely care about their guests’ experience. We would return without hesitation! P.S. They even left a little treat to our pet!

The place is very cute and the beach and how open and undeveloped the beach was is unlike anywhere else. We did three days of surf lessons from Caeser who is literally 100ft from the house down the beach and there is surfing right out your front door with board and wetsuit rentals.. The town itself is a little bleak and there wasn't much to do and we found if the weather was bad restaurants close very early (like 6pm) so just make sure to find out times if you are planning on eating out for dinner. Our family of four was in love (2 boys ages 7 and 10) but my in laws came too who are in their early 80s. I clearly wasn't thinking bc the walk to the house is through the sand and hard to navigate, my mother in law also couldn't get over the sand dune to go to the beach, and the stairs in the house are more like a ladder. so it's wonderful for able bodies but if you have someone with special needs it may not be suitable. but otherwise if you love surfing, beautiful sunsets book it!

Manuela desde el principio hasta el final estuvo atenta en que todo estuviera bien. Ha sido muy amable y agradable en todo momento, y muy atenta con nuestro perro. La casa estuvo muy acogedora y tranquila. Es verdad que por las mañanas es muy luminosa y a mí con tanta luz me cuesta un poco pero está bien.

Amazing stay here at Roberto’s place. He was very kind and met with us when we arrived to show us around. We used the parking spot in the garage below which was perfect for us. The location was very quiet and also convenient access to the supermarket downstairs. Not too far to Uber easily into Lisbon center. The apartment is beautiful! The art, the spaciousness, and the atmosphere are perfect. We enjoyed the space and Roberto’s thoughtful touch. It was very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed to be very comfortable. Great stay- defintely recommend!

This Airbnb is the perfect place to stay when visiting Sintra. The hosts are sweet and welcoming; they were so accommodating with our schedule. We needed more towels and they brought them to us late at night. We needed to drop off our luggage before check-In and leave it there after check-out, to which they were more than happy to help. If you are staying here with more than 2 people, please be aware that the only shower is in the master bathroom. The shower is completely glass and there is only a thin curtain to separate it from the master bathroom. That didn't bother us at all, but it is something to note. Overall, incredible stay!

Joana’s place worked really well for our stay. Convenient location, lots going on, easy for taxis to drop off and pick up, great outdoor space and amenities in the apartment. Very responsive and helpful host. Thank you!
