Monthly Rentals in Santa Maria de Sardoura

Our stay at Douro BlueHouse was divine. After a busy week in the city of Lisbon it was lovely to have a beautiful home to relax and recharge. The styling of the house was impeccable. You feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere yet have the marina or town within minutes. A visit to a beautiful vineyard Casa de Vilacetinho and lunch at Tasca Dino was lovely. If you just want to stay in and soak up the views there is a lovely restaurant bar on the marina just a 5 minute walk down the hill. Highly recommend taking the time to visit and stay .

This place is incredible. A renovated house from the medieval period, it’s even more impressive than the pictures. The setting is beautiful, with a view of the valley right out the bedroom window. The place itself is spotless and the automated check-in was a breeze. The host even had a bottle of wine waiting for us, and it’s well stocked with coffee. Like most homes in the region, be prepared to drive for groceries and restaurants - and take note that the drive to the house is steep downhill and at times narrow - but take it slow and you’ll be fine. The location of this place is perfect if you want to visit both Porto and the Douro valley. 10/10 would recommend!

Very peaceful stay with stunning views, beautiful sunsets, very well furnished outdoor area. Very pleasant accommodation

We were there with the whole family, 6 adults and 4 children. Two children aged 7 and 2 children aged 10. The children could roam there wonderfully; mountain up to the pool and another path walked to the ping pong table. There was some kind of lookout and this was their treehouse. At the time, Jacqueline had a large crate of games and the table tennis was put in an indoor space. The BBQ was fine and we also roasted marshmallows over a campfire. Not to mention a ride with the truck up, which the kids loved. A wine tasting by Michel is also recommended with all kinds of tasty snacks from Jacqueline. All in all, the 10 days have flown by.
