Cosy coastal cottage

HazelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Greenbank. The house was spacious, tidy and clean, and we appreciated the extras provided by the host (towels, toiletries, tea and coffee). The property is just a short walk away from a playground , shop, pharmacy and local places to explore, which we enjoyed investigating. Our 4-year-old loved reading the children's books from around the house and the garden was a lovely spot to play in. We paid to have the hot tub, which we found easy to use and great fun. Thank you to Amy for a lovely stay.

Scandi sanctuary invites you to slow down in style

IjazRating, 5 stars9 months ago
My overriding impression of this home was Wow!! Beautiful home just as described, allowing for an extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay Ina and Andrew were fully welcoming and informative. Plenty of space for us and the children to explore and lots to keep us occupied. Amenities were spot on, kitchen clean and well equipped, bathrooms immaculate, house with do much character, gorgeous garden with hot tub, useful gym area that was well utilized. And close to a number of beaches where we spent much of our days (were lucky with the weather!) We mainly ate at the house and then spent the evenings in the hot tub around the fire pit. What a lovely escape from our own realities!! Thank you

‘Stag Cottage’ New Forest Romantic Hideaway

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Stayed here for my 50th birthday for a girly weekend away. Beautiful little cottage with beautiful gardens surrounding the property. 5 star hosts. Very friendly and very informative. Obvious how much they love what they do. We had great fun in the games room. And the hot tub was a lovely treat and a well needed relaxation after we walked into Burley village and back. The food hamper was amazing with everything we needed or could want. Local supermarket not far away either. Lovely gift 🎁 from the hosts on arrival a bottle of wine and box of choccies. Yummy. Thank you very much. And finally getting to cuddle a 9 week old Bengal kitten who belonged to our hosts has to be the highlight of our weekend. He was beautiful and we nicknamed him Burley. Wish I could have taken him home. Highly recommend this beautiful little cottage and its amazing hosts. Thank you ladies I had an awesome 50th birthday 🎈 xxx

The Old Piggery, East Boldre, New Forest

ArranRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We took our 19 month twin girls on their first holiday, and the Piggery did not disappoint. We wanted a place with no stairs so it was a good find, the accommodation was great, with probably the most comfortable bed my wife and I have every had away from home, we couldn't believe it! the girls had their own room which was large enough for a single bed and the two travel cots. Kitchen had everything we needed, toilet and shower room was more than adequate for our needs. The best part of the stay were the sheep, our girls absolutely loved saying hi in the morning and bye at night, the sheep were friendly and the girls loved them so much I may need to get some of my own 😲. The instructions were spot on, easy to get in and out, plenty of storage in a locked barn for the roof box and buggy. The location is great, very peaceful, lovely walks, 10 minutes to Lymington, 30 minutes to Southampton. we got the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight. Highly recommend this stay.

Colemans Retreat

NikkiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had an amazing stay at Ashley’s cottage. The kitchen/living area is absolutely beautiful and suited us as a group of friends when doing breakfast/lunch etc. Our favourite bit of the property has to be the outside area. Having an outdoor shower/toilet, hot tub, kitchen area and bbq just topped off our weekend and we spent most of our time outdoors. A few outdoor games were left in the garden and it gave a good few hours of entertainment for us too! Ashley was super inviting and was very clear with check in instructions etc. The house felt very safe & secure and we all got very good night sleep from comfortable beds. We would love to come back again next year and for years after this!! A really lovely place!

Fern Lodge at Oakwood West Holidays

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Absolutely stunning place. Like a super luxurious safari lodge! Whole area is beautiful and everything in the lodge is state of the art. We stayed with our 3 kids who fought over who would get the canopy bed in the lounge. Loved the hot tub, had a fab bbq and slept like babies. Spent a day at west wittering beach which is close by and felt like we were abroad. Sarah’s lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She even let us stay all Sunday as they had no-one arriving at no extra cost. Who does that? We’ll definitely be back!

Wifi is provided which covers the property and phone reception is good anyway on the whole island. There are some low beams in this type of property as others have mentioned, so mind your head! Gorgeous Country Escape 5 Bedroom House & Annex

HelenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The perfect house for a family gathering - 9 adults and 2 dogs. Spacious, clean, well-equipped house with lots of indoor and outdoor games, room for 9 of us to dine easily, well-equipped kitchen, 2 comfortable sitting rooms, separate annexe with lots of things to do and gym equipment. Beds all very comfortable. The highlight for us on a beautiful sunny weekend was the garden - large grassy area for games and play, mature flowerbeds, 2 large tables, shed full of garden toys. There was also a bbq area and children's outdoor equipment. Jo responded quickly to any messages, but her clear instructions and detailed information meant there were very few questions. She also gave many ideas for walks, restaurants etc.

The Stables, luxury country cottage nr Winchester

AnnaRating, 5 starstoday
We stayed at The Stables for 5 nights. Marianne was an attentive and most helpful host. The accommodation was a lovely conversion with very tasteful dĂŠcor and furnishings. All amenities were provided, as described in the AirBnB information. We loved the wood burner (only used once, as it was a warm week!) and the pretty garden setting for al fresco breakfasts. Local pubs to recommend are The Hampshire Bowman in the tiny village of Dundridge (we visited using the instructions on Walk 9) and The Brushmakers Arms in Upham (take the walk there, the views are amazing). Lots to see in the area, we travelled down to Portsmouth Dockyards, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Winchester and Gilbert White's house in Selbourne. A very relaxed and peaceful base for visiting this lovely part of the country. Highly recommend.

New Forest retreat "The Bothy"- Near Paultons park

ElsaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Allie's place was a hit with the entire family. Our 2 year old tremendously enjoyed running in the garden and playing with the old tractor that stood there. Allie gave us great pub recommendations nearby her property. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen fully kitted out for cooking. You need to follow Allie's exact GPS instructions on how to drive to her property (which is not what we have done) because network connection gets suddenly very poor in the vicinity of the property, so you can't rely on your phone anymore at that point. There is a good wifi connection once you arrive at the property.

Cozy cottage with sea views and off street parking

JamesRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed here with our 2 young kids (3yo and 18 months) for 4 nights. The house is in a brilliant location. Just 1 min walk to esplanade which has a paddling pool for young kids and play area adjacent to the beach. There is also a Waitrose 2 min walk in the opposite direction. The house is approx 20mins drive to Shanklin and our kids throughly enjoyed the beach and the rides. Would highly recommend this property and will be booking it again next year.

Had an amazing stay, Brading House was practically in the centre of everything we wanted to do! There were plenty of bus routes to tourist locations, like Sandown to see the pier and wildlife sanctuary, Shanklin beach and Chine, a bus runs through from Ryde to Sandown and there’s lots to do along the way, like stopping off at the Wishing Well Inn to check out the Mermaid Distillery- We had a lovely dinner at The Bugle Inn and went down to the Brading Roman Villa too.

Delightful cottage in idyllic New Forest setting

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful place and so peaceful, the view is magnificent. My husband has Parkinson's so is restricted, but we still had a super time. It was lovely sitting by Hatchett Pond watching the dogs swimming in the pond. Steffs place is a super restaurant in Beaulieu which has a really great garden centre. Good food and really friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Dominique and Toby's cottage, and especially liked the horses and Oscar the dog. But we didn't see the cat! We'd go back if we were younger and more mobile, the walks are lovely in the New Forest, but we had to rely on the car. The provisions were very welcome, thank you.
