The Baglio Buccellato is a Sicilian building dating from the early '800, located a few steps from the village of Scopello, on the site of the ancient city of Cetaria, a name that evokes the fishing tonno.Il Baglio has been transformed into a beautiful and luxurious Bed and Breakfast gives its customers the pleasure of staying in a historic house and have the convenience of our time. The property is situated on a working farm, surrounded by a wall, which produce organic vegetables throughout the year. You log in through a typical gate leading to the courtyard, from which it derives its name beam, characterized by original paving stone from the well and wash. On the ground floor there is a spacious hall, once occupied by wine barrels, with the reading room floor tiles bearing the original econ overlooking the courtyard. From an ancient brick staircase, leads to the first floor rooms furnished with furniture belonging crafts Sicilian 900. All rooms are bright and spacious, some of which overlook the courtyard shaded by oleander trees, others enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf of Castellammare that goes from the Zingaro nature reserve at Punta Raisi. The exterior of the Baglio has a large garden, characterized by typical Mediterranean plants with an imposing centuries old mulberry tree overlooking an area of lawn, where you can soak up the sun and cool off in the pool. The location of Baglio is ideal for walking to the most beautiful beaches in the area, especially the ancient Tonnaradi Scopellocon its fascinating Faraglionie the wide bay of Guidaloca, characterized by white pebbles. For lovers of unspoiled nature along the coast is the Zingaro Nature Reserve with its footpaths that giungonoa San Vito Lo Capo, passing through many bays for swimming. The hotel has a private parking. The room rates include breakfast. Adjacent to the hotel is a bar-Sandwiches with whom you can have lunch / dinner. In the structure there is a common laundry. Breakfast is served from 8.00 to 10.30. Check-in is from 12.00 to 22.00. The check-out by 11 am.

Surrounded by nature

It is a historic structure dated 1292 AD located on the rocky wall of Mount Erice that overlooks the sea and Trapani with the sounds of nature in the background. We really loved staying here! We just wish we had more time. Claudio and Emanuela were so friendly to us and kind and accommodating even though we arrived much later than intended. We arrived after 11 yet Claudio was so warm, welcoming, and even gave us a pizza since we hadn’t eaten yet. Coffee of choice at breakfast was a really nice touch. And we especially loved the tomato and egg breakfast stew type thing that I asked many times how to say but forgot! It is much bigger property than we expected, which was fun. Nice outdoor seating areas with great views. The room was extremely spacious and very nice. And it is just a 15 minute walk from a beautiful scenic beach. We would come back here!

A tranquil beautiful restful gorgeous setting among an olive grove where host’s main house boasts an inviting pool and terrace where they serve a lovely light breakfast and make espresso. Hammocks, lounge chairs on roof top terrace and private patio off the guest quarters all add to the many places to lounge and unplug. The stucco guest lodging with concrete floors and beautiful bathroom with open beam ceilings… also, top notch. Close drive to great little towns. You feel remote but are close to many places. Airport is only 25 minutes away. This is an A+ stay! Host Ignacio is super cool, chill, and welcoming. His dad tends to the beautiful grounds that they have cultivated over time as a family. It’s just… a beautiful piece of Sicily!

Problem: the one click GPS links from Airbnb pointed us to the nearest town of Calatafimi Segesta to a dead end street. Other than that the property is beautifully maintained and cared for by the owners. We planned to stop here after landing at Palermo airport, so that we can jam in the Segesta historical sites in our itinerary. If you’re hoping to see the Segesta sites at the beginning or end of your Sicilian journey, this could be a good choice.

We had an absolute blast staying at Ignazio’s place! The rooms are basic, but honestly, you don’t spend much time in them—with so much beauty around, you won’t want to. Each morning started with a lovely, simple breakfast, complete with freshly squeezed orange juice—such a nice touch. The whole property is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. And the highlight? The beautiful pool with an even more beautiful view. Would definitely come back!

The beds are comfortable, the pool welcome We found the kitchen at the restaurant a little "greasy" but the prices are completely correct We recommend this RBnB for future trip In addition, it is located less than 20 min from the airport!
