Wonderful place to stay and very kind host. We very much enjoyed our two-night stay and would love to come back in the future. Very spacious house with a great kitchen and other facilities. Also, we could enjoy some fresh herbs and fruits during our stay. Knowledge of the Japanese language is very helpful for communication.

The check-in instructions were very polite, and I was grateful for the quick response. The inn was a very relaxing space surrounded by special furniture. The air I breathed in the morning in the veranda garden was very pleasant. It was a place I would definitely like to stay again!

Fully renovated 100 year old japanese house

LouisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay was incredible. The house itself was stunning—beautifully maintained, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed and more. But what truly made the experience special were the hosts. They went above and beyond in every way, making us feel so welcome and cared for throughout our visit. It’s rare to come across such thoughtful and generous hospitality. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or better people—highly recommended!
The exterior of a traditional rural house is softly illuminated by warm lighting, with wooden beams and sliding shoji panels visible. A stone path leads to the entrance, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere of this historic structure under the night sky.

Hanare

We had a good time in a beautiful and nice space. I stayed at work remotely this time. I took a walk nearby before and after work, and it was a good change of scenery! There was also a kitchen, and there were dishes and condiments, which was very convenient.By the way, the sound of the speakers was also good!I'd love to stay again.
A mountain range is enveloped in thick clouds, with mist gently cascading over the jagged peaks. Lush greenery covers the lower slopes, creating a serene backdrop. The interplay of shadows and light accentuates the rugged texture of the rocks amidst the dense foliage.

It was a lovely place to stay that made me feel thoughtful of everything. It's a great place to observe the woods and bathe in the forest. I was able to relax without thinking about anything. Thank you for your kind response, Yang, the host. Thank you again.

Private cottage in a forest with BBQ and bonfire

RyuichiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I stayed here to focus on some work on my laptop, and it was perfect — super quiet and private, with almost no one around. There weren’t any supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, which was a bit inconvenient, but it wouldn’t have been a problem if I had a car. Since it’s pretty deep in the mountains, next time I’d like to come with a car or a bike! The Wi-Fi was great too — I got 76Mbps download speed on the Fast speed test, so everything ran really smoothly. I’d definitely come back! 🫶❤️✨

(TSUGUMORI)

AlexanderRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tsugumori stay is above a charming cafe that is a destination on its own. I was greeted by a mom & daughter who own and manage the property. Super friendly and welcoming. They gave a personal tour of the rooms including instructions for appliances and garbage customs, as well as some of their inspiring story. They also gifted a delicious local mochi treat related to a current holiday. Clearly top-tier hosts and a truly special place. A lot of care and thought went into the design, layout and amenities of this cozy retreat. And the combo washer-dryer unit actually dried my clothes! An amazing range of hikeable mountains are essentially in the backyard. A short drive to the visitor center and you’ll find diverse trailheads. These trails include spectacular views of Mt Asama! Highly recommend renting a car. There is a Toyota rental place right next to Sakudaira Station making getting around super easy. I hope to make a return trip in the future!
