  • Cannot recommend this place enough. Everything from check-in to check-out was so simple and seamless. Communication with Craig was an absolute breeze, they take care of everything! Absolutely love the details in the home, and it was a super convenient drive to Squaw Valley Resort for skiing. :) Next time we're in Tahoe we will definitely be back!

  • This was my first AirB&B reservation and I was very pleased. I was nervous because we were going to a wedding and I was worried about timing and transportation. Craig responded to all my questions right away, which helped ease my mind. Place was super cute and clean. Bed was comfy and the heater was on point and nice after a chilly evening. I recommend staying at this place. Thanks so much Craig.

  • What a wonderfully charming wood cabin. Perfect for a romantic ski getaway. You're in the middle of the forest with trees all around and super close to Squaw and Alpine Meadows. We had everything we needed and the hosts were so kind to leave us food for breakfast and chocolate on our pillows. Very nice touches!

  • The Black Bears Den was an amazing place to stay for our snow weekend away! It was extremely cozy, perfect for two people; it felt like our own mini cabin get-away. Craig provided us with all the necessities plus more. The location was perfect, we were within 5-15 min driving range for all of our actives on West/North shore. We would defiantly come back to the Black Bears Den!

Looking for a cabin with character? Welcome to Pine Cone! Ours is an awesome A-frame with a wood-burning fireplace, and original retro décor – cozy and funky, with all the modern comforts of home. Close to HOA beach, Firesign, and Sunnyside resort.
In the heart of Sunnyside, Pine Cone is a short walk to our private HOA beach and the best brunch at the lake. Leave your city-slicker granite counter tops at home – we have what’s important: our Saturday Supper dessert cabinet contains an ice cream maker, sundae bar, fondue, and of course s’mores. (And s’meeces, the Pine Cone S’mores 3.0) Plus of course everything else you need to make yourself at home: fully equipped kitchen, laundry, etc. etc. The basics & bonuses: 3 bedrooms sleep 15 people. Dogs welcome! Wifi, printer, and standard office supplies included for you workerbees. Shampoo, toothpaste, hair dryer, iron and basics provided (though ironing board and such fancy big-city accoutrements are not – this is Tahoe!). Deck, BBQ, beach towels, board games, DVD player, dozens of DVDs, puzzles, cookbook collection for your Saturday supper planning, beach books, and more. The beach: we'll give you a key to the private homeowners association beach, featuring volleyball, basketball, bocce ball, and horseshoe courts; green grass and shady benches; clean bathrooms (very important); weddings to crash all weekend long; and Tahoe’s finest skipping stones. (Forget how to skip rocks? You ARE in need of a getaway!) The neighborhood: Sunnyside is hot for good reason! A few blocks from the docks, we’re the one spot on this side of the lake that’s walking distance from not one but two rockin’ brunch places. While removed from the mean streets (ha!) of Tahoe City, when you forget something at the grocery store we’re only 6 minutes down the road. South Lake has curling and all (message Colleen if you want to try), but it's Vegas compared to this: North Tahoe is casino-free pockets of quiet cabins from another era, with more dogs and kids littering the middle of the street than cars. Oh, and it’s an easy 3.5hrs from SF, assuming you miss traffic and drive like we do. If you drive an electric vehicle, you can plug in at our cabin too. Let us know and we'll give you the details. The activities: you really plan more than brunch, beach & wine? Ambitious. Okay, fine: we’ve got the hook-up for that too. We’ll tell you where to rent a boat, find the good hikes, and hop the local watering holes. Look us up on the map and you’ll see: we’re close to biking, river rafting, sledding, skiing, and snowboarding (Squaw, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Homewood et al.), the Tahoe Rim Trail, and all that outdoorsy goodness. Plus when you get here, you’ll find our binder of local tips that could only be amassed by a family that’s been here 28 years. Please note a 1-week minimum is required for Christmas and New Year's. If you'd like to visit, please ensure you have a profile with picture and tell us a bit about the group that's coming and what you're hoping for in your stay.
  • Cabin was so great! Full of amenities, great beds, and beautiful views, the host responded quickly to all queries. We would love to come back!

    Rachel2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay in. Within walking distance to the Lake and the Free Shuttle service that takes you to Squaw Valley Resort. A 5 minute drive to the Grocery store and restaurants in Tahoe City. The place has central heating and a fireplace, really fast WiFi, fully loaded kitchen with spices and condiments, plates, cups, knifes, pots, etc... there were 9 people in my party and none of us ever felt like we were invading anyone else’s personal space because this place is so big. The bathrooms also had more than enough Soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath towels. The list of all the great features of this place just goes on and on, you’d have to stay here so you can witness this wonderful experience for yourself. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place!

    Giovanni2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Janet’s place is the perfect place to stay! We were 15 people and we had so much room. Her home is super clean, cozy, and everything is labeled. Also beautiful quiet neighborhood. My family and I were so impressed with how much there is to do around this neighborhood. We will definitely be back!

    Wendy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time and would definitely go there again

    Sieglinde2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cabin this is! My family of six had a perfect weekend in Tahoe. Everything we wanted to be close to was within 10 min or less. The open layout of the downstairs area made it easy to visit, cook, and enjoy the wood fireplace. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We can’t wait to go back to Tahoe City and stay at Janet’s place!

    Amber2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • You can't do better than the pine cone!

    Bohdan2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely awesome, cozy, and just what we were looking for. We came up for a two day ski trip to Homewood and Squaw Valley and this was the PERFECT spot between the two. Everything was easy, Janet is a great host who gives good instructions, and we’d absolutely stay again. Thank you!

    Michael2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place turned out to be better than expected. It’s super convenient, in a quiet neighborhood. The layout is awesome, its very comfortable and everything is pretty well stocked. Janet was very thorough in all the descriptions and the rental process and left nothing to surprise. The value is outstanding. We have been to (far) more expensive places and now it’s hard to see the point of paying more. This place is a gem. Book it now.

  • Great place 👍

    Brooke2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was very responsive. His place is at a great location with all of the necessary amenities. We walked to the private beach and it had an awesome view of the lake. You have to eat at Firesign and have drinks at Sunnyside. It's a short drive to Tahoe City and Squaw also.

    Sean2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in a fantastic location.

    Tom2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place was perfect for our weekend skiing Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, especially Alpine as you can drive to Sherwood lift and avoid the crowded parking lot. The place was incredibly cute and worked great for two couples. We made breakfast and a couple dinners in the kitchen which has all of the amenities and then enjoyed watching tv and playing games next to the fireplace. Communication with Paul was very easy and straightforward.

    Jesse2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Paul’s cabin for our first ever visit to Lake Tahoe. We visited to check out the local Epic ski resorts (Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Northstar). All are within reasonable driving time and we enjoyed our time at each. Further, the area has spectacular scenery and Tahoe City is delightful. The cabin is very nicely updated and well appointed. It was spotless as well, we’d happily return again in the future.

    Paul2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, clean and comfortable, nicely updated. Even though there was an error code on the heated floor controls they still worked in just the right spots, which was a pleasant surprise.

    Alan2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place has warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Some of the amazing features this home has is a remote controlled fires place and heated floors, so it makes your stay that much more cozy and comfortable. 10/10 recommend. Would stay again!

Small bedroom with private bath in a very cool and funky modified A frame. House is in a great, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Tahoe City and a 10 minute drive to Homewood or Squaw. Trails to Page Meadows and Flintstones are right at the end of our street and make for a great loop back to the front door. House is shared between myself and dog Blue, and two other bedrooms for guests if occupied. Quiet, clean and respectful atmosphere in a great location waiting for you!
The atmosphere of this place has an inviting and relaxed vibe right when you enter the front door. I usually have the fire place going and some mellow tunes rolling in the corner which both can be adjusted to your needs. Sunsets out back are the best around and go great with a cold one. I like people to feel right at home here and not be shy, full interaction with the place is encouraged!
Easy walk to Bridge Tender and downtown Tahoe City, cheap two minute Uber if its cold. My location is pretty centralized to all the mountains in the basin including south lake resorts which our forty minutes down 89. Emerald Bay is about twenty-five minutes south down West Shore Drive.
  • Billy sheltered me through the snowpacalypse and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my stay despite impending doom. Also location is amazing with easy access to public transportation that will take you to squaw and Alpine for free if you don't wanna drive in the blizzard.

    Joseph2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Billy was extremely friendly and had a great house. Location was perfect.

    Ryan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Billy’s. We had great conversation and the stay was super chill. We used the kitchen and he had everything we needed. He had allotted space for our dry goods refrigerator space. He also had a boot dryer, which was very much welcomed, and space for our equipment. I would stay here again. In short, clean, great location, and a very comfortable stay.

    Megan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z

Plenty of parking and space out front. The place was clean and modern and had all the amenities we could need. We would definitely come back.

  • Spectacular location, great view of lake from the top of the street, easy to find, close to the area where we conducted resupply, streets and driveway were plowed, bear box was secure, and hot tub was HOT.

  • This cabin is in a great location for trips to Squaw Valley or Tahoe City. The hub tub was easy to use and exactly what we wanted after a day of skiing. Check in and check out was simple. The bedroom setup was perfect for couples.

The kitchen stocked basic amenities with breakfast items. The Jacuzzi was especially nice in the cold weather. Would recommend if you are looking for a charming house for your next Tahoe vacation!

Nice Jacuzzis. We used the free snow shoes they lent out on Wednesdays and we went on a cool snow shoe adventure that the guy at the desk told us about. Lindsay was super quick to respond to our one request of an early check in at 2pm! The noise from below wasn’t a problem for us at all. Things were quiet and mellow at night. • Beautiful, comfortable home in a great location. Awesome value for Tahoe and a short drive to Alpine Meadows!

    Natalie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This home was a wonderful place to stay! The kitchen is fully stocked with dining ware, pots, pans, etc! My friends and I had a lovely time staying here - the beach was a very short walk away and we got to experience the most beautiful sunset and we got to look at the starry sky. The only thing you should know is that pulling out of the house is a bit tricky as it's on a busy road, but we didn't really have any troubles there! I would definitely love to come back again!

    Wendy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really conveniently located, and great for a ski trip, as it's very near Squaw and Homewood. It was clean, had great sleeping spaces, and was very comfortable for the 6 of us. The kitchen/dining/living room spaces were all great, and very roomy. There was a binder with a lot of local recommendations, which were useful. Two things of note: the wifi didn't work, and when we messaged the hosts, they responded quickly, but were unable to help us fix it. Additionally, they requested a copy of my ID sent directly to them upon booking even though I'm already verified by Airbnb (and they sent a message saying "You agreed to send your ID" which I had not - this wasn't mentioned anywhere on the listing).

    Risha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Ben and Kathleen's place very much. It is a beautiful home and a was a great location for us. There were six adults and we had ample room and everything we needed was there. We hope to return again in the summertime to enjoy Lake Tahoe.

  • Lovely, stylish cabin space with modern amenities. Ample cookware for a full cooking kitchen (though bring the essential ingredients you need). Comfortably fit our group, and even the bunk beds were comfy. The hot tub was working and ready when we arrived and we enjoyed it. Keep in mind there is no garage here so if it snows you may have to clean your car! Only improvements we would suggest are more bright lighting inside the house (it's quite dark at night) + finishing the wooden tables (as they are easy to stain).

  • This place was outstanding. We were nervous booking with a company (first time!) but they made the process seamless from start to finish. The team was communicative and friendly. The cabin itself was beautiful, with stellar amenities - the kitchen was more complete than my own at home!! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and plan to come back to this location again.

  • This cabin is amazing, this was our second stay - and we will be back for sure.

    Ben2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and quiet cabin with great character and decorative touches. Ideal if you want a log cabin feel with modern amenities and close to amenities. Good location - the Tahoe Rim Trail crosses the street a couple of miles up the hill and it's a short walk down to the edge of the lake. There's a small grocery and delicatessen nearby for last minute items with a good selection. Bedding and linens all good quality. Two self contained bedrooms down stairs (one with 4 decent sized bunks) and a loft style bedroom upstairs that looks over the living area. Good supply of kitchen and tableware. Efficient Nest heating thermostat controls. Clearly well cared for.

  • Addie's place and hospitality were top notch. She and her family supported us during a big storm that swept through Tahoe. We got snowed in and her teenagers came over and shoveled out our car. The house kept us warm and cozy after a long day of playing in the powder. We were just down the street at Homewood. So the location was great. Before we arrived we communicated about the best places to snowboard when its windy and we followed her recommendation, which made a positive difference. The weather was tough and she made the stress melt away by offering the place the third day at a discounted rate.

    David2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

Or, you can park at the Home Owners beach and take the bike path South to Tahoma, or North to Tahoe City and continue on to Squaw Valley beside the Truckee River. There is a second house on the property that can also be rented from Airbnb (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5836408). The difference between the two houses are minor: 1. While the layout of both houses is identical, this house is about 1500 sq ft, or about 332 square feet smaller than the front house. 2. This house sits partially behind the front house, and while the views of Lake Tahoe are exceptional they are slightly obstructed compared to the front house.
The house is in a neighborhood which is 500 feet above Lake Tahoe, which not only offers panoramic views of Lake Tahoe but is also quiet and safely removed from the day to day tourist traffic as it is near the end of a dead end road. The house sits back from the road on a very large lot with 4 standalone houses.
  • We had a great stay at Mark's Place. The cabin and the area around it were beautiful. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it!

  • This is our second time staying with Mark. His place is perfectly located for either resort skiing or hitting some backcountry slops (which was ideal for our party that was split between the two). Close to Tahoe City, clean, and just comfortable place to stay. Thanks Mark for being a great host!

  • Wonderful cabin, great location, awesome views and very comfortable. Can't wait to come back in summer and winter again! Mark was also a great host and very quick to respond to all of our questions. Highly recommend!

  • A clean new place located in a quiet area with an (almost) unobstructed view of the lake. A few minutes ride from the main concessions but, if needed, with a kitchen that has all the amenities to support any cooking needs. The host is responsive, flexible and provides accurate instructions for a seamless check-in/check-out experience. We very much liked this place that we already booked a trip to come back in a few months.

  • Lissa’s space was beautiful, comfortable, and well-located—the perfect spot for a getaway. We had a minor mixup around check-in but apart from that, we had a really wonderful stay.

    Sarah2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a romantic trip with your significant other🥰 Our first time going to Kings Beach was an amazing experience and the Mini Mansion made me feel cozy and at home.☺️

    Diana2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute bnb for Tahoe - perfect fit for two. It had the mountain cabin feel and that was exactly what I was going for. Super quick drive over to Northstar and ideally located to the lake. I would stay again & recommend.

    Emily2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The mini mansion is great - a charming little place with some lovely details (the fire, the sauna etc). It's perfectly located for a trip to North Tahoe and I would highly recommend!

    Brett2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place is perfect for a romantic getaway. There’s a skylight that allows you to see the stars while lying in bed. Overall the cabin is clean and stylish and we had no problem checking in/out. The location is great too: 2min drive to Safeway and 30min drive to the Squaw Valley ski resort.

    Charlene2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lissa's place was so cool! We had some trouble getting in when we arrived and when I messaged her to figure it out, she responded almost immediately. We loved our stay and want to steal all her design ideas to use in our own home. Thanks, Lissa!

    Sara2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in Lissa’s home. The space is small, but well organized and tastefully decorated which made it very comfortable. Lissa’s home is also clean; I especially appreciated that! The location is perfect as her home is close to shopping and restaurants. It’s ~10 minute drive to Northstar which is our favorite ski place. Lissa is also a great communicator. She explained her expectations clearly, and checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Lissa’s home and would definitely stay here again!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Blake's cozy cabin. The kitchen and bathroom are new and nicely laid out. The beds were super comfy. The wireless worked great. And, we really like the private yard and patio. We also appreciated being walking distance to the lake and to the West Shore Market. Blake was quick to respond to the few questions we had. We'd stay here again!

Will definitely be back in the future!

This is one of the few properties that once you are there you don't need a car. Uber is available in North Tahoe. Golf course across the street.
  • This place is exactly as it is written. Very clean and beautifully decorated with a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe. You’re right on the beach! We were there for skiing, so unfortunately, we weren’t able to take advantage of the lake as we often arrived back at Bill’s place when the sun was already down. It’s a great location, within walking distance of several stores and restaurants (The Dam Cafe is one of our favorites for breakfast). We felt safe, warm and cozy in Bill’s place. I’m bookmarking it as one I’d like to return to in the summer!

  • This was a great place with a fabulous view.

    Ross2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the most beautiful spaces I've ever stayed in. Our family loved everything about it. The space is pristine and so close to the lake. Warm and comfortable and very, very clean. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We hope to come back.

    Patricia2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Bill’s place is great. Not only does it have amazing lake views from its living room and master suite, but you can walk a short distance (maybe thirty feed) to the lake from your back door. You can also walk to the downtown restaurants, bars, and the supermarket. I highly recommend this home.

    Brandon2020-01-03T00:00:00Z

  • Great location. Cool house!!

    Nicholas2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda’s place is great! Fantastic location close to the lake, and nice and cozy inside. Our favorite part was the hot tub on the back deck and the bed, which was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The fact that the house has two bathrooms was also very convenient, especially when getting ready in the morning.

    Melisande2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I decided to go up to Lake Tahoe to ski and stay overnight during this three day weekend. It was the right choice; our stay over at Brenda’s was lovely. Her place was cozy, simple, and clean.

    Soomin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is cozy and conveniently located to all the great destinations surrounding the lake, from restaurants to alpine hikes. If you’re staying during the wintertime, be prepared to take full advantage of the space heaters provided, as the place doesn’t have the greatest insulation. This was definitely minor, but something to consider if you’re accustomed to Bay Area temps like me. :) All in all, a great cabin! Can’t wait to visit again soon.

    Scotty2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect weekend getaway!

    Dani2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute cozy cabin. Loved the hot tub after a day of skiing. Nice location close to Tahoe city and Alpine/Squaw.

    Alyssa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Brenda's cabin. The location is fantastic, being just a few minutes from Tahoe City, an amazing market and deli within walking distance, and with Squaw/Alpine in about 10 minutes. The hot tub and fireplace were perfect touches for a winter stay. My notes to future visitors would be 1) there aren't curtains or blinds in the bedroom, so if you're light sensitive bring something you can drape over the windows, 2) the stairs are very creaky so be careful with heavy luggage, 3) there is wifi, but barely enough for loading websites and 4) the place is fairly drafty so if it's cold you will need to wear warm clothes inside. Knowing that, I would still stay again, just come prepared.

    Patrick2020-01-21T00:00:00Z

Just inside the upper deck doors is the cozy living room. Heated in part by a gas stove, it features a flatscreen TV with many entertainment options via Blu-ray, DVD, VCR, and cable. WiFi is also provided. If you prefer to unplug while relaxing, head down to the game room and challenge your buddies to some friendly competition over a round of pool. In the space-saving kitchen, you'll have all the major appliances and tools, including a gas stove and dishwasher, needed to fix a simple snack or a family-style dinner. Dine casually at the quaint bench-style table. Fix coffee in the morning, then take just a few steps with your steaming mug to the deck and watch the sun climb over the lake. On this main floor you'll also have one of the three bedrooms, as well as, a full bathroom. Find a spacious queen-size bed in this bedroom, tucked cozily into the vaulted ceilings. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, both with two double beds and deck access. One of these upper bedrooms boasts gorgeous lake views and access to a full bathroom. Downstairs, along with the game room, is a queen-size futon and a twin-size futon. Another full bathroom is available for guests on this level as well. Dogs love Tahoe! The game room also has a newer washer and dryer so that you can freshen up your family's vacation wardrobe any time you want (like, while you're in the hot tub). There will be certain closets and/or cabinets that are locked at the owner's request for some personal belongings. We have local property manager engaged to help with any issues that may arise throughout your stay. The cabin is located in Talmont Estates and sits up above Lake Tahoe with panoramic views of the lake. Note that because of the elevation climb in the winter (from lake level up to where the homes are in Talmont Estates), a 4WD and / or chains are highly recommended. The Lake Tahoe Park Association is a private, gated beach that you'll have access to while staying at this property. Having access to this beach is the next best thing to staying on the lake as you'll be able to enjoy lakefront privileges such as two private piers, private swim area, picnic / bbq areas (reservations are recommended), basketball court, bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, grassy lawns and more. Note that the beach has limited morning hours in which dogs are allowed - see sign posted at beach for additional details. Many of the most desirable Lake Tahoe attractions are under 20 miles away. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley resorts are just 10 miles away, offering a full menu of both outdoor and luxury activities. Ski at Homewood Resort, just five miles south. Eight miles north is the dog-friendly Carnelian Bay beach. Meanwhile, Tahoe City Commons Beach is just three miles away where you can enjoy free outdoor concerts and movies during the summer time months. Enjoy Firesign Cafe (arguably the best breakfast spot in Tahoe) just down at the bottom of the hill along with the popular West Shore Market just across the street. Or, if you're desiring lakefront dining, the ever popular Sunnyside Restaurant is right there, as well. You can also catch the paved bike trail and head out for miles of leisurely enjoyment. If you want to discover more North Lake Tahoe attractions you won't have to look far. The popular Kings Beach is only 12 miles away, and offers a sprawling sandy beach and is surrounded by tons of family-friendly restaurants and watercraft rentals. For a bit of history, head up to Truckee, right off of I-80. Hiking and biking trails blanket the area; you may never traverse the same one twice. • Great view. Nice hot tub. 30 minutes to Northstar and an hour from Heavenly.

    Brandon2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at a spacious, well-stocked place in a great location, overlooking a stunning view of the lake. Three-floored, vertically-built apartment with a quaint fireplace for some cozy time in the family room with your family and friends.

    Lynn2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The views are spectacular. The living room of this A-frame has huge windows so you can enjoy views of the lake while visiting on the couch or eating at the kitchen table. This house would be perfect for a family because there are split levels and good soundproofing with all of the wood. We were visiting Tahoe with friends from out of the country and were able to easily entertain at the house as well as explore the lake. I highly recommend this airbnb!

  • Great time!! Would stay again!

    Yevgeny2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place to spend a few days while exploring Tahoe. This has to be the best value cabin in the area with breath-taking views from the living area, deck, hot tub and front garden. Yes, the cabin has a rustic feel, but many of the issues mentioned in other reviews have since been resolved by the owner. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

    Hamish2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded all expectations! The views are amazing, the living room is warm and cozy with fire and lazy boys, and the basement with pool table and hot tub kept everyone entertained. The sunrise from this place is unreal. Lake was purple and just looked majestic. 10/10.

    Robert2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location . The place is a little dated but is very comfortable and a great place for family/friends to spend time together and relax. This is the second time we've stayed there and have enjoyed both times .

very secluded home with lake view. endless hiking/biking trails in summer and cross country ski/snow mobile in winter right out the door. Too many ski resorts within minutes to mention. We have one very friendly dog. Use of w/d and kitchen.
  • We loved staying at Marty’s beautiful house. Marty and her family were really helpful, welcoming and accommodating. The house was so cosy with amazing views and close to good restaurants. A highly recommended host in Tahoe!

    Priya2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very good stay at Marty's, the chalet surrounded by nature is superb and the alarm clock in the room with view on the lake is priceless. The welcome from the owners is very warm, it feels like home. We would definitely recommend!

    Mathieu2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super comfortable bed with phenomenal lake views. We had a quick turn around time so we didn’t get to visit with Marty or Julian much but they were kind and helpful hosts!!

    Meg2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place and location was beautiful! High ceilings and the private him and hers bathroom was amazing. Perfect, secluded area with lots of things to do! The host and her husband lived in the home but I never saw them. Only when I checked in and checked out. LOVE HER DOGS!! wish i could've took those guys home! <3 All in all, a fantastic place. I would definitely stay there again.

  • It is everything you will need and more. It was very clean, and Marty was an amazing host. You will not regret being here. Everything was easily available and there was a lot of thought put in small details around the house which made the overall stay memorable. Thank you Marty. We are going to see you soon. Lots of love

    Mahika2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place is comfortable and clean! The patio is the best spot to watch sunrise and sunset. You don’t even have to go out to the patio. You can watch inside the bedroom. The kettle in the room, wine opener, reading materials, dvds, and directTV are a plus. The bed and linen are very comfortable. The restroom is super clean and it has extra additional amenities. The water pressure is very good and the hot water heats up fast. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has industrial grade equipments. We were also able to wash and dry our snow clothes without a problem. Marty and her family were genuinely nice people, accommodating, and they respected our privacy. They are very generous in opening their home to Airbnb.

  • Ron’s house was just what we needed. It’s very comfortable and he’s clearly put a lot of thought into what makes an at home like stay. There were fresh flowers, cooking basics, lots of games and books for the kids and the decor is perfect for Tahoe. We hope to come back!

    Angela2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfection!! A homey, spacious and adaptable cabin that all five of us from age 14 to 73 love! Amazing kitchen, very cozy, comfortable beds and clean as a whistle. Lovely flowers to welcome us and a park right out back for kids. Location excellent. We’ve rented before, and we will rent next time again - thanks!

    Frances2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • Ron was a very helpful and easy to get into contact with host! His place was very nice and fit everyone comfortably. We had all the materials we needed to make meals and overall really enjoyed our stay! We had a lot of fun playing with the snow in playground that was located behind the Airbnb. It was a great location in regards to ski resorts in Tahoe. I would definitely recommend his place!

    Katherine2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded our expectations! This place is AMAZING. Such a beautiful home and a great host! We had some car trouble before arriving, got there late and Ron was kind enough to welcome us in personally. This was our first family trip to the snow and it was the best experience ever. Our kids loved it! Totally recommend staying here. You won't regret it!

Conservancy land on three sides offers great privacy for you to experience the cedar-scented air, starry skies and lake views from this mid-century modern home in the heart of Tahoe's magical West Shore.
On the main floor, in the living room, enjoy a crackling fire from the window seats with forest and lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped with an easy-to-clean range, microwave, everything you need to make memorable meals served on a complete set of beautiful dishes. On the main floor you also will find a powder room, a dining table that easily seats eight, a 42" smart TV--no cable, but you can watch movies and TV shows on Youtube or from your Amazon Prime, Netflix or Hulu account-- a Chickering piano, and floor-to-ceiling cathedral windows overlooking forest and lake. The house has three levels accessed by stairs--the main living area with kitchen, dining room and living room, the upper loft level and the lower level with four bedrooms. You'll have five bedrooms all together, one of which is a large loft above the living area with a gorgeous view of the lake. Please use caution with young children in the loft, where you will find a full bath and a single day bed separated by a closet area from a queen-size (new Beauty-Sleep hotel quality mattress in 2015) bed. My favorite comment from a previous guest about waking up in the loft, "The view is unreal!" On the downstairs level is a full-sized bathroom, a laundry room and four bedrooms. One downstairs bedroom has a two twins with 10" thick mattresses new in the summer of 2016. The second bedroom has a double-bed and with a sliding glass door onto a peek-of-the-lake-view deck. The third bedroom also has a double bed (new mattress in 2016), and a door to the deck. The fourth and largest bedroom downstairs has a queen-sized bed (new in 2015, Beauty-Sleep hotel-quality mattress) and views of the lake. All beds are made up with a variety of down and non-down pillows, cotton and fleece blankets and down-filled or silk-filled comforters. The house is located 2.5 miles south of charming Tahoe City and five miles north of Homewood ski area. Other ski resorts, including Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are an easy drive. Two miles away is family-friendly Granlibakken which not only has skiing, but also sledding and a ropes course. The house comes with passes to the private, gated Tahoe Park beach which offers three acres of amenities including piers, playground equipment, lakeside picnic tables with BBQs and 750 feet of homeowner's-access-only beachfront. You can walk to the beach from the house, or drive in five minutes. One mile up the street, you'll find the trailhead to Paige Meadows. Here, depending on the season, world-class hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing lie at your feet. A paved bike path right down the street leads to Tahoe City--for a leisurely bike ride through the pines. Back at the house, enjoy a BBQ on the deck. Sunnyside restaurant, Firesign cafe, Tahoe Bakery, Sunnyside Market and a paddle-board and bike rental shop are part of the neighborhood charm. The central location of the house makes it easy to enjoy everything Tahoe has to offer, without an electrical wire or more than one neighbor to spoil the view! The code to the high-speed internet is found as soon as you walk in the door. We speak French, mais pas tres bien, and pretty good Russian. We'll be in contact as much or as little as you like--just an email away. $500 security deposit. Two-night minimum. $100 pet fee, per stay. $355 cleaning fee per stay. Our housekeepers are legally paid and therefore they receive all the benefits of regular employment. You can enjoy a spotless house knowing that no one was taken advantage of to get it that way. The house is set up with linens on all the beds, ample towels, soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms, and towels, dishwasher soap, trash bags and paper towels in the kitchen.
The house is two and half miles from Tahoe City, less than a mile to the beach and restaurants, 15 miles to Squaw Valley, five miles to Homewood, two miles to Granlibakken and one mile to the Paige Meadows trailhead--you won't spend a lot of time just getting places--you're already there! We enjoy Sunnyside Restaurant's casual dining right on the water--go during a full moon and watch the moonrise over the lake-- and Firesign cafe for their famous breakfasts. You can walk to either place, or get there in just a couple minutes by car. Near the restaurants you'll also find a bike and paddle-board rental shop. Tahoe Bakery is popular for sandwiches and pastries, and Full Moon Natural foods has all your natural food needs. Savemart is a very well stocked grocery store, it's right as you get into Tahoe City, about two miles from the house. Further into Tahoe City is a Safeway and lots of other shops.
  • This place is so cool! We were caught in a winter storm and felt as if we were in a snowglobe with these amazing windows! The place is perfect for a Tahoe getaway—super clean, convenient, and well-designed. I'm definitely coming back!

    Vanessa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • It's a beautiful home with stunning views and a gorgeous layout. The living room, kitchen, and dining room are all wonderfully communal and great for big groups to hang out in. The kitchen is well equipped to host a great big dinner (we had two over the course of our trip). And the fireplace is excellent. I would just note that the weak internet wifi could pose a challenge, should you need to check in on work emails during the trip.

    John2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dina’s place is just as it looks in the photos — stunning and cozy! You can see the lake from her home and it’s 5 minutes away from town. More than anything I was blown away by her hospitality and how much she cares about her hosts. Dina is the definition of a superhost!

  • This place is heaven!! The view truly amazing. The house is very big, space full, full equiped for everything you wanna do. Very clean at check-in. Simple to access. This is the place to be !!! Plus if you are looking for inspiration you should definitely come here

    Jeanne2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dina's place has great views!! Super close to a private access of the lake, close to Squaw Valley resort where we went snowboarding. There are lots of rooms, perfect for traveling with many couples. The fireplace was really nice as well. We made use of the kitchen and was happy it was stocked with lots of places, utensils, and pots for cooking!!

  • Great spot for a weekend away. It’s cozy, but definitely enough for a couple for a weekend or so. The bed was super comfortable, the location was convenient to Tahoe City, and Andy and Lindsay were great hosts!

    Lara2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • We loved it here! The location is just far enough away from Tahoe city that you can drive there in 5 minutes or less, but you still get the cozy, laid back, vibe that you look for during a winter snow trip. Well equipped with all the essentials, comfy bed, and great cable/roku tv. Quick responses to any message sent, overall we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Comfy master bedroom with private bath in a very cool and funky modified A frame.
I like people to feel right at home here and not be shy, full interaction with the place is expected!
  • Billy’s place was great! Super clean and close to everything that was needed. He was also a great host!

    Xuan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a comfortable stay at Billy’s. It’s conveniently located; only 10 minutes from Homewood and Squaw. The Bedroom was spacious and private. Billy was responsive and made our stay very comfortable.

  • We had an amazing stay at Billy's place. The environment was very relaxed and enjoyable. Billy was friendly, welcoming, provided some great suggestions about local restaurants , and was very knowledgeable about the local ski resorts. His dog, Blue, was very well behaved.

    Jolene2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for 3 nights, Billy communicated the check in process well even though he wasn't available. The place is clean, and Billy was kind enough to allocate refrigerator and shelf space should we need it. The bed was comfortable, and the location a short drive from Squaw/Alpine! Will definitely consider staying here if we return!

  • Perfect cabin for our trip to Tahoe. The kitchen is well stocked, we cooked thanksgiving dinner easily! The cabin is so cozy and it’s the perfect layout. Very friendly neighborhood, and super close to a lot of trails in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen is well equipt and everything was in working order. It is in a quiet location on the west side of the lake. The description is exactly as stated. Thank you for the wonderful stay and quick communications on the booking and the ability to extended our stay.

  • Lovely A-frame house. Tidy and well furnished. The view of Lake Tahoe was a big plus. Dave is a super host.

    Carolyn2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very sweet family reunion in Dave's house, with plenty of room for 5 people, and great separation of space with all the bedrooms. The kitchen is large and has all the pots/pans, dishes and utensils you could need. And I loved the huge wooden dining table, for all our family meals. The living room was really cozy, and perfect for playing games and watching movies on the nice large screen TV. The place was absolutely spotless, and had 2 nice bathrooms. A little bit of a funky bathroom setup upstairs, with the sink in the bedroom, and the shower and toilet each in their own little adjoining rooms. But it didn't bother us, it was just different. The view from the living room and front deck of the lake from up above was unbelievable, and really the highlight of this place. The trade-off was not being close enough to walk to the lake, but the view made up for it. We liked the little beach we had access to with the HOA, but just needed to ask Dave exactly where it was, since there wasn't any directions given in the information left in the house.

  • I found Ann's place while I was looking for lodging close to the Squaw Valley ski area. Ann's place is ideal if you want to ski Squaw Valley, and is also nicely located for access to the South Lake Tahoe area. Ann's place is warm and inviting. She is easy to talk with, a gracious host, and she also has her own space separate from the main house if guests want move privacy among themselves. The rooms are very quiet. Paper towel rolls were strategically located throughout the rooms and house to promote maintaining a clean environment for all. As a musician, I would define the space as smooth jazz or folk music. It's not a rave, or rock and roll environment. It's not a loud party house. It's great for intimate conversations and relaxing. I loved how comfortable I was in or out of my room. I will not consider any other lodging when I return to ski Squaw Valley again. Benjamin O.

  • Ann has the most beautiful house I've ever stayed with in Tahoe area (I snowboard at Tahoe about 30 days per year). Unbeatable view, sparkling clean, everything looks new. She's also making efforts to ensure guests are safe from Coronavirus. Had she been in this business 30 years earlier, she could've started an organization like Marriott.

  • Ann is one of the best Airbnb host I ever met. I’ve a great time staying at her house. The breakfast chocolate cake is soooo delicious. She also gave me some useful tips might be benefit me for a long time. Hope to stay at her house again in the future.

  • We couldn't believe all the cleaning supplies, so many extra trash bags and toilet paper, lots of bath towels all of which we appreciated. Lots of cooking pans and dishes which was so nice as we ate our meals out on the beautiful deck. There was an extra propane tank also for the extra clean bbq. Beautiful hiking trails so close to the cabin. A 20 minute walk will get you to the beach. Extra fans are supplied for warm days, which is nice as we brought our own not knowing there would be fans. Starbucks is inside Safeway, which is less than a 5 minute drive or you can walk there on your way to the beach!

  • Looooved this place. The place itself was very clean and well organized. Kerri and Shelton even offered us a late check out so we could take time to enjoy the beautiful snowy morning. The location is 2 mins away from Tahoe city which is awesome! But there's a pretty stiff uphill (it's short tho) so when there's snow, you will need an AWD car, snow tires, or sturdy tire chains. (We brought a front-wheel-drive SUV and had tire cables but it couldn't go up the hill when snow was pouring, so we had to park the car on the street which is 7 mins walking distance) Oh, the shower was amazing since there are ✌️ showerheads. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and will go back when it gets warm!

  • Kerri and Shelton's place was super cute and perfect for a short Tahoe getaway. They made check-in super easy and were quick to respond to messages. The apartment was fully stocked (super excited about the non-stick pans) and super clean. It was in a great location and I would stay here again!

  • We had a great stay here. Thanks Kerri & Shelton!

    Kim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
