Places to stay in Swanage
This amazing beachfront house on Sandbanks Peninsula is very cool, quirky and spacious. It is suitable for families/friend groups wanting to have fun on the beach/water or explore Dorset. It is one of a handful of properties that has direct access onto the beach at the back, and to Poole Harbour at the front. It has gorgeous views of Brownsea Island, Studland, Old Harry's Rocks and IofW from the house and garden. All rooms (bar bunk rooms) can be made into super kings instead of two singles.
The house is situated on the Sandbanks Peninsula with direct access at the back of the garden onto the beach and to Poole Harbour at the front of the house. The sunsets over the Harbour are completely sublime and have to be seen to be believed. The fantastic firework displays on Poole Quay can be watched from the comfort of the dining room! There are amazing views from every room in the house - and almost has the feeling of being in a boat. It is the ONLY house that is let for holidays on this stretch so it is unique. It is deceptively large (approx 4000 square feet internally) so there is plenty of room for everyone - especially as the lounge and games room allow for two completely separate areas to relax and have fun in. The property also benefits from a huge garden that is approx 50 metres long with amazing views to Old Harry's rocks and the Isle of Wight. There is also parking for 5 cars at the front of the house. This saves on parking charges! Everyone who has visited Sandbanks knows this house - it was the first modern house built on the peninsula when it was still a literal sandbank. It won the house of the year award in 1974 for its innovative architecture - being cantilevered and made of concrete and glass. It is definitely one of a kind! It is a lovely quirky house to have fun in. It has a great fun interior - we call it the "Happy House"! The house is located next door to The Watersports Academy which is fantastic for watersports activities, paddle board, bicycle and boat hire. We host a wide range of guests at the property. These include family/friendship group holidays and celebrations, Bournemouth graduation events and pre-marriage celebrations. We have also hosted business groups for team building activities and meetings. It is a fantastic choice for those visiting Dorset from the UK or abroad (15 minutes from Bournemouth International airport) who wish to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside. The property is the perfect place to start your exploration of beautiful Poole Harbour, Bournemouth beach and Jurassic coast. Bournemouth beach is the only UK beach to be awarded one of the "World's Best" by travellers on Trip Advisor. The beach house is also only 30/40 minutes to Jurassic highlights such as Lulworth cove, Chapman's Pool and Kimmeridge. The house is only 20 minutes from the charming New Forest with its gorgeous country pubs and New Forest ponies. The house offers a holiday that can combine so many different elements that make an amazing and memorable trip with so much to do both at the house and in the surrounding area. The house itself is such a relaxing place to be with beautiful views that many guests do not leave the house and immediate surrounding area for the duration of their stay - so no need to use the car at all! Top Floor - The top floor has five bedrooms. There is one further bedroom and also games room that are used for sleeping accommodation on the ground floor (please see below). Bedroom 1 - is a beautiful large bedroom with the most amazing views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. It is really light and spacious room. The bedroom can be set up either as two singles or a superking bed. There are two armchair sofa beds which can be made up as two singles. This room can sleep 4. Bedroom 2 - this room also has wonderful views over the Harbour. It can be made up as two singles or a superking. There is an armchair sofa bed which can be used as a single. This room can sleep 3. Bedroom 3 - this is a bunk bed room which has harbour glimpses. The bunk beds are suitable for adults. This room can sleep 2. Bedroom 4 - this is a very large and light room which has amazing views, both of the harbour to the side of the house and the beach at the back of the house. This room can be set up as two singles or a superking. There are also two arm chair sofa beds that can be used as two singles. This room has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. This room can sleep 4. Bedroom 5- bunk room with views of the harbour. The bunk beds can sleep adults. This is annexed off Bedroom 4 so makes it very suitable for use as a family room or for a group of friends. This room can sleep 2. There is also a well appointed shower room on the top floor. Middle Floor - The middle floor is an amazing open plan living and dining space which is great for entertaining. The living area has a huge, deep sofa which is perfect for reclining on to watch a movie or listen to music. There is a Bang and Olufsen TV system on this floor with Apple TV with access to over 200 films downloaded (mainly children's movies!) Netflix can also be played through this TV. The kitchen and dining room (breakfast bar) are designed to seat a large group. There are two table extensions available in order to seat 20 people at the dining table. It is a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunsets over the harbour which will take your breath away. The kitchen is really well equipped for cooking for large number. There is an electric range oven with 3 ovens and 5 induction rings. There are two fridge freezers, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and Nespresso coffee machine. there is crockery, cutlery and glassware for 22 people. The kitchen has been designed to make things as easy as possible for a relaxing stay. Bottom Floor - The bottom floor has one bedroom Bedroom 6 - this can be set up as two single beds or a superking. It has views of the harbour. It is a very quirky round room. The large private 'games room' has table football, three sofas a TV (with netflix and sega mega drive games console), fridge freezer, stereo system and also decks. There is direct access to the garden through double doors from the games room. It is a fantastic room with amazing graffiti wall art. The two sofa beds can be used to sleep 2/4 people. Two additional floor mattresses can be added to the games room too. The utility room is also on this floor with a shower room and washer and dryer. The house has been designed to have fun for family/friendship groups. It can sleep a maximum of 21 people. If you are more than 16 guests there is a small additional charge over 16 guests - please state the number of people you wish to stay clearly at the point of booking. Garden - The outside space at the back of the house is decked with a large seating area. There is a gas BBQ available for use. The garden has been astro turfed and has a giant sandpit called "shark island" for children (and adults) to have fun in! There is a large storage area which has lots of fun beach/water activities including paddle boards, buckets and spades, balls etc. There is also a Table tennis table in the garden. The garden is secure at the front and back with a locked/coded gate. It is a fabulous location and the interior is completely different to what is expected!! It really is an amazing house that you will find very difficult to leave! Infants - There are two high chairs and travel cots at the property. There is a stair gate for the middle floor. For hosting groups I am happy to help with booking/organising activities at the house. For example - - A "beauty" day can be organised at the house with massage therapists, beauty therapists and hairdressers. This is a fun activity for all women groups who may be planning on going out for the evening! - Pilates / yoga instruction - Live art classes - Outside caterers - Cocktail classes I am also happy to help organise / book activities off site, for example - - Water sports activities - Golf days/lessons - Clay pigeon shooting - Taxi/coach bookings There is so much to do in the house and in the local area! There is ample parking for at least 5/6 cars. EVERYBODY loves it here!
The area is unique as it has access to the water on two sides - Harbour and beach. Sandbanks is probably one of the best known stretches of beach in the UK.
  • The beach house is incredible! We have just returns from an amazing weekend staying here. The stylish interior, amazing views and cleanliness was far more than we ever imagined, it certainly made our weekend one to remember. The location is stunning with views out of almost every window onto the beach or harbour it made our stay feel so relaxing. From start to finish Sarah’s communication, Help and advice was amazing. We would certainly recommend this house to anyone.

  • We have just returned from a fantastic few days at the beach house. Although the weather was bad we all managed to entertain ourselves with the variety of games etc which were in the games room. It is in a great location with the back gate opening directly onto the beach. This is second time we have stayed there and hope to return again.

    Ros2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our whole family had a wonderful weekend away! The place was so beautiful and so much fun for all ages. Sarah was so helpful and everything was so easy. We will definitely be coming back!

  • Amazing house! Also, very cheap given everything that you're getting. Really clean, warm, great views, a lot of space - just fab! 😍Not to mention that Sarah, the host, is very fast in replying and she came over when we couldn't get in the house.

  • This property has an outstanding location with the front overlooking the sea with kite surfers, sailers paddleboarders all enjoying themselves. The back is a fantastic sandy beach for everyone to enjoy. Even in January we had a fantastic stay and I’m sure in the summer it’s totally amazing. We thoroughly recommend a stay here.

  • The Beach house is absolutely beautiful and stunning. The rooms are gorgeous, the shared space perfect for large groups. We had lots of adults and children and it worked so well. Needless to say the beach front location is of course perfect. Sarah was brilliant. I would highly recommend her house to everyone!

  • Don’t know where to start with how fantastic this stay was. Sarah was informative and helpful from the get-go with quick responses and fantastic recommendations for local business’. The house is absolutely stunning; it was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away with family and friends. It was clean, tidy and beautifully decorated with Christmas decks! Sarah was so, so helpful when we couldn’t work the swanky TV and was so easy to get into contact with. The views are stunning and being on the beach made it all the much better. Would recommend to anyone and everyone wanting a weekend away with family and we sincerely hope to stay at Sandbanks again!

Acton Studio is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path, ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track.
Acton Studio is a recently converted compact purbeck stone outbuilding with double bed, wet room and kitchenette with table and stools. The kitchenette has an electric oven, hob, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster and essential kitchen items. Dorset tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided. The studio is located at the bottom of our rear garden, the studio has it's own private garden. There is parking but it is not adjacent to the property. Sit in the enclosed garden on a summer evening after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night and with no street lights you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around forty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. There is two pubs within walking distance. The King's Arms in Langton Matravers (25 minutes) and the Square and Compass in Worth Matravers (30 minutes). The Square and Compass only serves pies and pasties. A couple of minutes in the car and you reach The Scott Arms in Kingston then a little further The Castle Inn and The Greyhound in Corfe Castle. The nearest shop is in Langton Matravers ( a twenty five minute walk) but please check that they are open. There are Coop and Budgen supermarkets in Swanage and lots of smaller shops (a ten minute drive). We are surrounded by fields, some with cows and sheep and we are located on the South West Coast Path incorporating breath-taking views. We are lucky to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to many rare plants and animals. The Purbeck coastline is part of the ninety-five mile stretch known as the 'Jurassic Coast', named England’s first natural world heritage site in 2002 because of the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history.
  • Amazing studio, everything you need for a weekend and super cozy with lots of thoughtful touches. Would recommend to anyone!

  • Brilliant location, tucked away in a beautiful old village and really close to great coastal walks. The check in process was really clear, and their suggestion of going to the Square and Compass was spot on - one of the most welcoming and friendly pubs I've been to. We had a magical time here and would highly recommend it! (Also, very comfy and cost bed, which was perfect for a stormy wintry night)

    Brendan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy annex which was really clean and not too far away from nice destinations like Swanage and Corfe Castle. Helpful hosts who live close by - we would definitely come again!

It is in a semi rural setting which is very quiet but within easy reach of Corfe Castle and Swange. Characterful pubs near by. A very welcoming place 10/10

This little studio is lovely and bright with it's own entrance. It has a small kitchenette and a shower room. It can be set up as a double or twin. There is a garden for your use which has stunning views of the hills and bay. It's close to the coastal path for wonderful walking opportunities and is just 0.8 mile/15 min walk, to the seafront/centre. Kitchenette has microwave, kettle, toaster, very small fridge, teas, coffee, milk, bread, preserves and cereals. Parking is on the road and plentiful
The studio is brick built and is completely self contained with its own entrance. It is light and bright, with a lovely view across to the purbeck ridgeway and the sea, when standing. The bedroom area measures approx 3.5x3.5 mtrs with a separate kitchenette and shower room. It should be noted that the ceiling slopes from 2.1 mtrs (6ft 9) at the front, to 1.9 mtrs (6ft 2) at the back. The bedroom and shower room have heating. I am told that the bed is extremely comfortable. It's a 5' 2" king size that can be split into two 2' 6" singles for twin occupancy. A fold up table and chairs is provided for you to dine in the bedroom. There is covered storage for bikes etc,and for walkers/cyclists to hang waterproofs to dry( please ask when you arrive). A launderette is just a few minutes away by foot. Please note that the fridge is only for bare essentials, as it is only about 18 inches square.
I am situated on the Jurrasic coast which is a World heritage site with walks along the coast plus the Purbeck Ridgeway, which affords stunning views over Poole Harbour on one side, the Purbeck Valley to the other, with Corfe Castle on the route. From my place it's easy to get onto the coast path (20 mins walk) and I'm also situated on the Priests Way which is a lovely 3.5 mile walk or cycle to the pretty village of Worth Matravers, with a superb vintage tea/ lunch /supper room the legendary Square and Compass pub(look it up) . The path has been recently resurfaced with loose stone so is accessible all year round. Most of the costal area is open access, so there are many other lovely walks from your door, including a walk through Dorset Wildlife Trust's Townsend Reserve, through to Dorset County Councils, Durlston Country Park and lots of National Trust Land. A few mins walk away is a caravan park with a bar and swimming pool for public use. There is a lovely safe beach in the town with easy access to the shops and eateries. within a short walk to there is a more secluded/ quieter beach, (north beach). The beach has again been awarded the coveted blue star for water quality in 2019 and North Beach is listed in the top 5 best beaches of Dorset . There are opportunities here to enjoy water and land sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, coasteering, climbing etc. The RSBP nature reserve of Arne is nearby which was the location for the BBC's 2016/2017 Autumn Watch and Winter Watch highlighting its significant importance for wildlife, not only nationally but internationally too. The National Trust Studland Bay is 3 miles from here, with its fabulous 4 mile stretch of fine golden sands backed by an vast area of sand dunes and heathland full of wildlife. There are a few of good restaurants, and lots of lovely independent cafes in town. Daytime, Java is particularly good for coffee, vegan and vegetarian food, and Love Cake has a wide lunch /teatime menu. Evenings, Bliss and Chilled Red are recommended. All the pubs also serve food. The Black Swan is of particularly good quality (evening service Monday to Saturday and Sunday's lunch only) and is only a 5 min walk from here (early booking advisable. Phone them to book anytime after 5.30 daily ). A few of the pubs have live music at the weekends, but not all, so you can avoid that if you wish. There is a good variety of small independant shops selling a range of goods to suit various budgets, ideal for a good mooch about town. There are two supermarkets in the town both open until late Mon to Sat, a mini market close by that opens everyday until 20.00 including Sundays. Also Arkwrights spar convenience store open daily, from early to 22.00 is about a 5 min walk and the Texaco garage spar shop, a 10 min walk, is open early until 23.00. The Purbeck area and Swanage itself, hosts a wide variety of music and arts festivals, throughout the year to cover most people's taste. Also many organised walks, and nature based events led by various experts are available throughout the year too. The Web site 'Visit Dorset.com' is a good source of information for the local area and beyond. Walking into the centre of town from here is 10 /15 mins on lit streets, that are switched off at midnight.
  • Lovely and cosy stayed before and will do again in the future. Easy and readily available street parking

  • Louise’s place is frugal, but clean and well appointed. The bed is comfortable, and Louise was very hospitable. I would recommend this quiet, out-of-the-center nest! Everything is within walking distance...

  • Louise definitely deserves the superhost title, she goes above and beyond to make her guests welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed her place so much we extended our stay. The place had everything we needed for a short stay, was well decorated and had endless information and tips on the local area. The view from the little garden was magnificent and was so nice to just sit in the morning with a hot drink. The bed was super cosy as well and shower nice and strong. Would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Swanage! Thank you again Louise was such a pleasure to meet you

  • Peter is a great host, he cooks a delicious breakfast and has a very stylish selection of aprons. The lodge is a very good value stay and you will be well taken care of.

    Catherine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing stay at the lodge. Peter was so accommodating with our dietary requirements and to allow us to use the bbq. Definitely recommend staying here!

    James2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is a quirky place so be sure that is what you are after! It's a bit like glamping but with a toilet and hot water. It gets cold at night later in the year but the provided sleeping bags, silk liners and blankets will keep you cozy - two fan heaters can get the temperature up too if needed. The lodge is a hexagonal shape and is surprisingly roomy as there is storage under all the benches. Plenty of candles and fairy lights make it magical at night and probably very romantic if I wasn't on my own! In warmer weather the little terrace would be great to sit out on as the sun sets. Peter is the perfect host and cooks a delicious breakfast ! Emails were promptly responded to and directions easy to follow.

  • Stayed in the alpine lodge on an extremely cold night and it was one of the cosiest evenings I’ve ever had. Peter was a welcoming and thoughtful host and really went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. Beautiful little hut with lots of nice touches.

    Rosie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a truly wonderful time at Lapland Lodge. The lodge was perfectly clean, full of wonderful little touches and felt so warm and cozy. Peter the host was absolutely fantastic - he made a delicious hot breakfast every morning, was very kind and knowledgeable about the area and did whatever he could to help us have a lovely and relaxing time. Seascape is a bright, airy lodge down its own drive at the edge of Swanage Bay View. Adjoining Townsend Nature Reserve it enjoys utter tranquillity and spectacular views over the bay, as seen on 'A Place in the Sun'. With its tasteful modern furnishings, central heating and double glazing, Seascape is a cosy winter retreat, while in Spring and Summer use of a 1903 beach hut on a private beach is included. In addition, guests enjoy the amenities of SBV - all within a 15 min walk of the seafront!
Seascape is our much loved holiday home. It combines peace and seclusion with access to a stunning pool, good gym and spectacular countryside. 5 mins walk in one direction takes you to the Southwest coastal path or 15 minutes in the other direction to the seafront and the lively shops, cafes and restaurants of Swanage. Absolutely the best of both worlds.
Seascape occupies a stunning location on the edge of Swanage Bay View on the Jurassic Coast. A World Heritage Site, the Victorian town of Swanage remains open to visitors all year with its eclectic shops, cafes and restaurants and enjoys a microclimate, situated as it is at the tip of Purbeck. Great walks, pubs and tea rooms. Base yourself in Swanage to explore Studland, Poole and Brownsea Island or, to the west, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis or Dorchester.
  • A serene place to stay with wonderful views - good for the soul!

  • This was the second time we stayed at Seascape and again, it didn’t disappoint. Spacious, clean, comfortable with the most fantastic view.

  • A cosy, clean and quiet lodge to enjoy the views over the bay. Home from home. It has everything you need.

  • What a beautiful cabin with an incredible view of Swanage. We stayed in the cabin for my husband’s birthday and when we arrived, there was a birthday balloon, card, cake and more tasty goodies for him, which was such a lovely touch. The cabin is perfect, it’s very warm, clean and the bed was comfortable. Judith also provided a high chair and a travel cot so we didn’t need to bring our own. We will definitely be staying here again.

    Jodie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular views from a clean modern lodge, warm and cosy and lovely walks from the door.

  • Fantastic place, amazing views, thoroughly recommended.

    Paul2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • A super place to stay. The lodge is lovely and even though the weather was wet and windy the lodge felt cosy and warm. You cannot beat the view! Close enough to walk to Swanage and we followed Judith’s advice and did a lovely walk along the coast.

Just 150 m from the historical Harmans Cross steam railway station and newly equipped children's play area. Perfect for families, cyclists and walkers. Purbeck has two ridges. We are situated in the valley between them. The inner ridge gives panoramic views of Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and Swanage Bay while the outer ridge boasts breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast.
The Bunk House is newly furbished with oak flooring throughout, exposed roof rafters and walk-in shower. Smoke alarm and co detector. There is a small fridge containing milk, juice and bread, also a toaster, kettle, tea and coffee plus cutlery and crockery.
This area is semi-rural, safe and quiet. 40 min walk or 10min drive to the quaint village of Worth Matravers is the award-winning pub The Square and Compass famous for its top quality live music, homemade pasties ,cider and ales.
  • Great place to stay, really comfortable bunk beds!

    Rita2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The bunk house is a perfect place to stay. You have everything you need for a short stay. Glenn and Fran are very friendly and our daughter enjoyed playing with their dog Betty. The area is very beautiful. Old harry rocks and Corfe castle are definitely worth a visit.

    Tahnee2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We have used the Bunk House twice as a base for walking the Isle of Purbeck stretches of the South West Coast Path - this is a simple, clean, comfortable, perfectly suited accommodation for walkers and others seeking to explore the surrounding Dorset countryside. The hosts Glenn and Fran were very responsive and helpful. Fully recommend.

    Tim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the peaceful location and the children enjoyed playing in the nearby play area. The Bunkhouse was clean and well equipped for our stay with plenty of clean bedding and snuggly blankets. We received a warm welcome from Fran and Betty. The location was just right for us, close to both Swanage and Wareham. The Bunkhouse was warm and cosy and a lovely space to get away for a few days. Would highly recommend it!

    Karen2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our weekend away. The bunkhouse is exactly as described, actually bigger than I thought. Went for a lovely run to Corfe Castle and along the ridge and back. Relaxed for the remainder of the weekend, just want we needed.

Our lovely first floor flat is in an elevated position just off the town centre offering views to the sea from the lounge. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach. The property offers 1 good sized double bedroom and a small room with 2 single beds (READ BELOW). We can also provide a travel cot if requested. The apartment also offers a fully applianced kitchen and bathroom ( small bath with shower over) with everything you would need for your stay. WIFI is also included.
The flat occupies the first floor in a converted Victorian house and is a few minutes walk from Swanage Beach. This apartment would easily accommodate 4 and is very comfortable and homely. There are two single beds in the small second bedroom. One is a pull out so is close to the floor. We also have a sofa bed in the lounge if this is preferred. However, please note:- we do not allow 6 guests as the apartment is too small. There is free street parking outside the property however if it is full there is plenty of free parking up the road just a few minutes walk and everything in Swanage is in walking distance. We offer all basic cooking supplies, coffee machine, and pretty much every utensil you could think of if you like cooking! There are also four stools round a breakfast bar/island so you can sit down to eat.
The property is close to all amenities, and a short walk to the main square with chips shops, pubs and the stone quay and pier.
  • Lovely place, nicely furnished and sparkling clean. Would stay in again.

Coastal Cabin - self contained comfortable self contained cabin, 500 metres from the SW coastal path & half a mile from Swanage town centre & Durlston Country Park. Perfect for a couple, easy street parking.
  • The cabin has everything you need for a break away. It is warm and cosy, a 10 minute walk to Swanage with a lovely town and beach to explore. Plenty of places to eat if you don’t want to cook. The Christmas tree was an added bonus. Feel very relaxed after our three night stay here.

    Nicky2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely Cabin in fantastic location close to Swanage town. Everything clean and well stocked in the accommodation. We would definitely stay there again.

  • We had a great stay at Fiona’s place. Had everything we needed for the two of us, and was nice and cosy. It’s only a short walk to town and seafront too. Would definitely recommend.

    Kathryn2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Coastal Cabin is a very cosy but well equipped home from home that has everything you need for a short (or longer) stay. Clean, comfy, warm, good location, secure and pet friendly. 10 minute walk and you're in the town. Plenty of good pubs (with great food) also within walking distance. Great for a coastal stroll with the dogs, but take care near the cliffs... We didn't meet the hosts, but had no issues that negatively impacted our stay.

    Sean2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin with comfortable bed, lovely hot water and warm. Beautifully clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay. 10 minute walk down to the town and 5 minute walk to the gardens / common. Lots of walking available.

  • Fionas' cabin is a lovely warm, cosy, easily accessible place in Swanage. It is well equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. It is possible to enjoy coastal walks form the cabin, or to walk in to the town down a very steep hill but it's a good way to keep fit walking back.

    Catherine2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Coastal Cabin is a lovely cosy place to stay. The area around the cabin is very quiet. The Cabin has everything you need for your stay. We enjoy walking to Old Harry’s Rock and onto Studland bay. We hopefully return again in the future.

Our idilic family bungalow is perched on the edge of a cliff with stunning views overlooking Swanage bay. Only 12 minutes walk to Swanage town centre with the beach and nearby shops on our doorstep, this is the perfect spot for a short break, a quiet and convenient place to stay if working or for doorstep access to the many internationally renowned Jurassic Coast walks. We do not generally accept pets, but please note we have a friendly old Collie, a cat and chickens. * Breakfast is continental.
  • We had a lovely one-night stay at Clare's place. The room was cosy, quite spacious, warm and clean - pretty much everything we needed after exploring Dorset all day long! Clare recommended a great spot to have dinner nearby and she also served a breakfast for us in the morning. The house is only five minutes drive from Swanage Pier, so you can explore this charming town a bit.

    Julia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay with Clare. She was welcoming and helpful, especially with our five month old son. Our breakfast was delicious and a brilliant location. Would definatley recommend for a short break in Swanage.

    Sarah2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Clare is an amazing host, she makes you feel at home in no time. The room is lovely and breakfast delicious. The house is in a spectacular location with beautiful views from the garden. There are so many things to do both in sun or rain - take a walk to the centre of Swanage or walk along the coastal path and admire the views, short drive to various NT properties, beaches, visit the Tank museum, Monkey world, and so much more.... I stayed there with my 2 children (age 6 and 9) and we had everything we needed. And we've left with lots of lovely memories to take with us. Thank you Clare!

    Ivana2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and spotless room. Delicious breakfast all laid out so you can have it when you want. Clare will tell you where to eat and the best coastal walks. Perfect two night getaway.

    Niki2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with a spectacular view and 2 lovely dogs. Clare was a great host and was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was also excellent.

    Ben2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clare is very kind and helpful. She gave me lots of advices and all the advices were useful. Two dogs were very friendly like Clare. The room I stayed was comfortable! Actually, my flight was delay so I couldn't stay one night. I wish I stayed for 2 night. I'm sorry about that. Thank you so much for everything.

    Naoko2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. Can not recommend making the decision to book here enough. We had the nice luck to meet not only Clare, but her son, daughter (and two playful dogs) who were all very welcoming and helpful in recommending places to go. Clare was a great host who welcomes us hassle free, made it a very relaxed occasion and put on a very generous spread for breakfast in the morning which we were left to enjoy when we wanted. The location is the key here. You are on the doorstep of a lovely coastal walk and an easy drive to Durdles door, Corfe castle and Wareham. Bedroom was clean, comfortable and overall we felt as if we were in our own home. All you could ask for. Ultimately, you will be outdoors most of the stay so this is great value and all you would need for a trip to Dorset

Beautiful one bedroom ground floor flat in an enviable location, own patio with panoramic sea views over Swanage Bay. Direct access to beach from communal garden. Shower room and separate WC. Living room with sofa bed. Free internet access via Sky Broadband. Perfectly placed for gorgeous cliff walks.
  • Great location

    Philip2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was lovely, quaint and in a really good location. There's lots to do, my highlights were Corfe Castle and Old Harry Rocks. My only negative was that the wi-fi was rather expensive to use (around £8 per day). I ended up buying an add-on from my phone provider and using it as a hotspot as I needed to get online to do work in the evenings.

    Zainab2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great location, with amazing views of the sea. Ideal distances from Swanage centre and Harry Rocks. We didn't use the car once there. Well recommended.

Two of our German guests had no use of a car from the day they landed at Southampton airport until they returned to Germany. Instead of driving they wanted to hike, use the bus, or take the train. One day, they walked from our house to Poole Harbour via the ferry at Studland, at Poole Quay they caught the bus back to Swanage. On another occasion, we drove them to Lulworth Cove with a picnic, they then walked back to our house along the South Coast Path, arriving late that afternoon, exhausted, but elated. Several times they walked to Wareham and Corfe Castle and The Square & Compass pub at Worth Matravers.
  • Outstanding hospitality and great quality facilities and personal touches, very comfortable, and private, I only missed a sink in the breakfast room. But all the washing up was done for us, anyway. Good selection of breakfast options, including organic milk and fresh baked bread. Very, very comfortable stay

  • This is a very cosy and well-appointed flat, well-situated for access to the sea front and the many fabulous walks and sites all around. Honor was an excellent host and very responsive.

  • A great place to stay. Super clean, good amenities and a nice view. Thank you, Honor.

    William2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Honor’s place. The flat has everything you need for a pleasant stay in a lovely town. I personally found the bed to be very comfortable and the smart TV set-up makes it perfect for anyone who is looking for a relaxed stay. If not, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Quick and helpful responses from the owner throughout as well. I would recommend to others.

    Hugh2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely bright and airy apartment, handy for town and surrounding Dorset.

    Deborah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Honor’s place. The view straight down into the bay did not disappoint. I found the bed comfortable my partner said the mattress was a little soft for his liking but we both slept well. The facilities within the flat were just enough for our needs. My one little disappointment was that the boiler didn’t hold enough hot water for a full bath (it’s not continuous hot water as I found out when I ended up with a luke warm bath as I’d filled it further after the hot water ran out) and the shower was fairly basic but it didn’t hamper our enjoyment too much. The cake and the milk in the fridge were a nice touch. That hill is steep and I am not the fittest person but I managed it without too much discomfort. I was able to contact Honor during our stay with any questions. All in all really good value for money. No doubt we will be back.

  • Cosy apartment close to everything in Swanage. Great for exploring. Host went above and beyond to make us welcome. Really relaxing in the front room. Bedroom nice and quiet. Great recommendations for dining. The deli below great for fresh ground coffee and other bits and bobs.

  • A brilliant location and a great flat for a couples getaway in Swanage. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

    Holly2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying here. We came with our 6yo son who loved Swanage. The beach is right on the doorstep and there are loads of cafes and pubs nearby - perfect for warming up after a blustery time at the beach! Would recommend a visit to Durdle Door which is about half an hour away. Corfe Castle is also a great place to visit with lots on to entertain little ones in half term. Simon was a great host and was very accommodating and helpful to us with check in and out and tips when we were there.

    Rea2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, comfortable flat, very central and convenient location in this lovely little seaside town, two minutes walk from the beach and the shops. Very easy check-in and communication with Simon and Jane. Ideal for couples seeking a peaceful and relaxing break, which is what we had!

    Richard2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Simon and Jane’s place for my parents to celebrate my mums birthday. They were absolutely delighted with their stay and said there were lots of thoughtful touches for them. They both said they would love to stay there again! Thank you

  • Glowing review for this apartment... Super clean and tidy...smooth check in/out.. Couldn’t be much better situated for all the attractions of the town centre. Big bonus is the little balcony..just right for a drink and people watch. A must visit is the Deli downstairs. I imagine parking might be an issue in high season but worth the effort for the location. Would love to return for sure.

Beautifully presented ground floor holiday apartment, all set up for you to enjoy the charms of this adorable seaside town. Set in the older part of Swanage, the apartment is a quiet and peaceful retreat despite being only 200m from the town centre. The varied independent shops, abundance of restaurants and charming cafes are all just a few moments away. Swanage is of course best known for its glorious seaside and the beach is less than a 5 minute stroll from the front door.
The apartment has recently been fully refurbished and has all the amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Fully equipped with TV, DVD, DAB radio and free Wifi. The TV also allows streaming services so don't forget your Netflix and Amazon Prime logons. Straight off the spacious hall is a good sized lounge with large sofas perfect for relaxing. The master bedroom is located at the front of the property and has an abundance of wardrobe space, a charming window seat and en-suite facilities.
This is a great base to discover and explore the beautiful Purbeck countryside and the fascinating and varied Jurassic coastline.
  • A lovely, bright and spacious apartment in a perfect location for exploring the coast. We stayed here with our 2 year old and 7 month old and it was ideal for us. It was handy having designated parking but worth bearing in mind that it’s a short walk from the apartment so we had to do a couple of trips. The view o we the old town of Swanage is beautiful and we had everything we needed for our stay :)

  • Absolutely gorgeous. The whole flat is furnished beautifully, spotlessly clean and is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay for up to 5 people. We stayed 4 nights in January 2020. The main bedroom is spacious, bed & bedding is great quality so comfy. It's just minutes walk away from shops, restaurants and pubs and the beach. We booked at short notice and we are glad we'd found this fabulous place. We'd recommend to anyone & would definitely come back again if we want to stay in this area.

    Vanessa2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great few days in Swanage. Love the off road parking, the location so close to restaurants and beach, the spacious and well equipped and homely and beautifully decorated apartment, and Ali and John's excellent communication. I would certainly recommend staying here. I hope we will be back.

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.
The layout has been designed to give all the convenience of modern life but in a very small space, so be prepared to squeeze round each other on occasion. Victorian carriages have a smaller width and length than static caravans, therefore we have made the most of the outside space with decking all around as if at the platform. The carriage is very old and therefore not perfect. A window may stick a bit or the window ledges might feel a bit rough as it was 2nd class. Being next to a railway line it also gets dusty quite quickly. We will always clean and make it fresh between guests, but its just a gentle reminder that you are staying in a train carriage which is approx 160 years old and so hopefully it's quirkiness is something to be embraced. The carriage is situated at the end of our back garden, away from the main house, in a sunny spot right on the Swanage Railway line, so be prepared for a bit of smoke as the steam engines pass by. We strongly do not recommend babies or toddlers to stay in the carriage, it simply would not be safe for them. We have 3 children ourselves and think that it is not suitable for that age range. We also would not recommend it to people who may suffer any reaction to the steam as the trains pass by. Particularly as the carriage is very close to the train line. The carriage is secure and you will have your own sets of keys as well as a key to the side gate which takes you through our yard and to the footpath to the carriage. There is storage under all the beds and a cupboard / wardrobe. There is also storage in all the luggage racks. Shampoo, soap, bed linen, towels, tea, coffee, sugar and milk are all provided. Well behaved dogs are welcome, and we would be grateful if you could let us know if you are bringing a dog as we like to leave a towel for them. Again unfortunately if they are puppies and maybe excitable or want to chew things we don't recommend the carriage as a place to stay, because we have young children that live next door and most of the carriage is made up of chew-able pieces of wood :o) Please be aware we have a Patterjack dog (who is extremely friendly and loves other dogs and children) and two cats that live at the property and use the back garden.
Swanage has the best of both worlds. A beautiful beach, Victorian Pier and a choice of restaurants, pubs and shops and as the start of the Jurassic Coast there are some incredible walks along the South West Coastal Path. Visit in the summer and there is something happening every weekend from the famous Swanage Carnival, Blues Festivals and Fish Festival to the Pirate Festival and nearby Bestival. We are close to Durlston Castle and Durlston Country Park.
  • Thoroughly recommend the red carriage, it’s a great place to stay and a fantastic piece of history. The carriage has everything you need, was clean and well provisioned down to fresh eggs courtesy of the chickens wandering around the garden, clean sheets and towels . Swanage a good base to explore Dorset from and there is good parking provided by Sarah and Brian. Look forward to visiting again.

  • We had a wonderful weekend in the train carriage - despite being in the midst of Storm Dennis! The carriage is a lovely and unusual place to stay, and Sarah is a great host

    Stu2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I utterly adored my stay over New Year with a long standing friend. We both have a love of steam trains and we both loved the passing train in the morning. With a love of the Danish concept of hygge (cosiness) we felt the train carriage fit the bill perfectly and we loved our stay. The carriage heated up really quickly, we had everything we needed in a perfect amount of space and it was so quiet. We both slept so well from days out breathing in the sea air and the quietness of the carriage. This really is a unique find! Can’t wait to return with my train mad 6 year old boy xx

    Laura2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place with loads of original features. Comfy too! And of course, very novel.

    Cathy2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the carriage. Our two children loved the experience and loved seeing the trains go by. Hosts were very attentive and provided all we needed. Good location and space provided all we needed for a convenient stay.

    Scott2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We visited in December and managed to stay warm and cosy. It’s a fun place beside the railway line, with thoughtful touches including Christmas lights and tree. The garden was perfect for our two dogs to mooch about.

    Michelle2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky relaxing stay, ideal location for walking/local site seeing, great hospitality from Brian and Sarah

    Chris2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our four night stay in this quirky little train carriage was a delight. A real steam train puffs by just over the garden fence several times a day. The beds are comfy and the owners are friendly and helpful. A pleasant and restful few days...highly recommended.

A 2 bed apartment just minutes walk from the coast. Sleeping 5 it has a bright & airy kitchen living room, it's own garden that benefits from all day sunshine and very close to award winning beaches. Four-legged friends welcome. In these current times my cleaners are exceeding guidelines for sanitising and the apartment is having a deep clean after every visit. Rest assured you’ll be able to have a wonderful, restful break away from the stresses of the outside world, in my safe clean apartment.
The living space comprises an open plan kitchen living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, microwave, gas oven and hob. There is a washing machine and laundry airer at the property plus iron and half size ironing board. The living area has two sofas, dining table and 5 chairs, bookcase with a large selection of DVD's and books. There is a DVD player and 36 inch television which has BT TV with Netflix and over 100 freeview channels to watch, pause and rewind. There is wifi throughout the apartment. The main bedroom has a wardrobe, large chest of drawers, bedside tables and an en-suite with shower and large window with view over Swanage bay. The second bedroom has a solid built oak triple bunk, with full size double bed at the bottom, a single above and 2 large drawers underneath. Also a large oak chest of drawers and hanging space. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds, stereo radio alarm clocks with 2 USB phone charging points/phone connectivity and views out towards the countryside. The family bathroom has a large double ended bath, separate spacious shower and under floor heating. Directly outside the front door is a shingle garden with table and 5 chairs including parasol. Allocated off road parking is just metres away.
The Ridge is in a peaceful residential area just minutes from the coastal path, with a breathtaking first view across the bay. Just a 800 metre stroll downhill and you'll be in the midst of the busy coastal and holiday town and alongside the beach. A 5 minute walk in the other direction and you're in Durlston Country Park which opens up to you miles of Dorset coast walks. I love that I can walk my dog to the downs crossing less than 100 metres of tarmac from leaving the front door. If I go out to the coastal path within 15 minutes I'm at my favourite spot, Durlston Castle, for either coffee or lunch and as it's dog friendly, my Labrador settles down to watch the world go by whilst I continue to be mesmorised by the view.
  • Had a lovely time at Val’s place during Feb half term. Ideal location for exploring Purbeck. Nice to be able to walk down the hill to Swanage for dinner. Kids liked the bunk beds. Val was very quick to respond to emails.

  • Great space, really clean and has everything you need for a great stay in Swanage, especially loved that the kitchen was so well stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking

    Lesley2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Val’s lovely, cosy, well-equipped apartment. Good directions made it easy to find and we parked easily out the front, not needing to use the designated parking behind the apartment (which is accessed by an unmade-up road). The situation of the apartment is very quiet, with views of the sea and countryside. The SW coastal path is within a 5 minute walk in either direction which meant we didn’t need to use our car to walk our dog. The apartment warms up quickly (we were staying in Jan). The dog-towels were a bonus as it was wet when we stayed and the downstairs foyer meant we could dry off (us and dog) and leave wet coats & shoes down there so didn’t trek mud up the stairs and into the apartment. Val has left lots of suggestions for places to go and to eat - we particularly enjoyed the Dorset Apple Cake in ‘Love Cake etc’ and a couple of hearty meals in The Black Swan (very generous portions in both eateries). We also had a couple of great breakfasts in The 1859 Pier Cafe. There is a short walk from town to the apartment, which is uphill all the way - we felt that justified the cake-eating! The bottle of wine was a nice bonus - thanks Val, we would love to stay in your apartment again.

  • Val was an awesome host. All communication was quick and clear. The apartment was nice and clean and there was a really informative folder with lots of local tips. It is located a short walk from town and the coast is beautiful.

  • Spacious and well equipped flat in a great location.

    Linda2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really comfortable, immaculately turned out and spacious flat in a nice part of Swanage -- up the hill, but only 10 minutes walk from the beach. And Viv is an excellent host, prompt to get back when we had questions. Highly recommended.

    Bruce2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Val s place is extremely comfortable, spacious and very well equipped with lots of nice touches, making it very cosy and easy to feel at home in. Everything was beautifully clean and it had everything we needed. The quiet location we found to be excellent and the parking spot right outside the apartment is a huge bonus. We thoroughly recommend Vals place and are already planning our next visit.

The Garden Room is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path and ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track. We are close to Corfe Castle and attractions in the Isle of Purbeck.
The Garden Room is a self contained, cosy double room overlooking the beautiful garden. The room is located in the rear garden of our house. The room has it's own seating area. There is a brand new double bed, breakfast table, separate wash basin and very compact wet room which is a combined toilet and shower space. Unfortunately not suitable for less abled people. Enjoy a continental style breakfast in the mornings; there is a kettle with tea and coffee, a toaster and small fridge supplied with milk, butter and preserves. There is Dorset Cereal, Kelloggs cereal and wholemeal bread for toasting. Gluten free diet can be catered for, please just let us know. Tap water is fron a mains supply so perfect for drinking. There is parking but it is not adjacent to the property and via unmade roads, not suitable for less abled people There is Wifi which can be very patchy at times and can drop out so please don't rely on it if you need it, very sorry but that's all we can do for the moment. Sit in the garden on a summer evening after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night, as there is no light pollution, you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around fifty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. There is two pubs within walking distance. The King's Arms in Langton Matravers and the Square and Compass in Worth Matravers. The Square and Compass only serves pies and pasties but is a fantastic experience. The nearest shop is in Langton Matravers but please check that they are open. There are Coop and Budgen supermarkets in Swanage and lots of smaller shops.
  • Ian and Steve have created a very cosy garden room. The room is stylish and in a great location to walk to the dancing ledge. The little touches such as the shampoo and condition and the butter and milk made this place amazing value for money. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

    Jemma2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Ian and Steve's Garden Room. The room was extremely beautiful and perfect for people who just want to relax and enjoy their free time. The bed is very comfortable, everything is clean, you have everything you need, even some breakfast and Ian and Steve are great hosts who reply quickly to your messages and provide you with lots of information about the region. We can definetly recommend others to book here!

  • I’ve been using airbnb since 2014, and this was by far my best experience. The space is cozy, tranquil, and the garden is beautiful. It was very clean and thoughtfully decorated, with surprisingly great amenities considering the space. My boyfriend and I stayed just one night (we wish we could have stayed longer), and felt very comfortable. Ian was so kind and gave excellent local recommendations. It is also walking distance to amazing sites including dinosaur footprints and coastal hikes. I hope to return someday soon as the area has so much to offer!

    Dina2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Snug and cosy room and perfect for us for an overnight stay.

    Anna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was cozy and lovely! Very well decorated. The bed is heated!

    Luis2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would thoroughly recommend. Ian and Steve have created a calm and tasteful space which was warm and welcoming to come back to after some very cold and windy walks. All directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow. A range of nice quality breakfast goods provided. I only met Ian, who was charming, friendly and helpful, but I had a sense of complete privacy throughout my stay. I would definitely come back!

    Kristiina2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Steve's place is in the must idyllic part of Dorset - right in the heart of rural Purbeck. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and cliff walks, the garden room is a perfect cosy nest to come home to after a long day exploring the local area.

    Gina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a great stay Ian and Steve. The place was perfect for our short stay. The room was immaculate and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, with fresh bread and milk provided. A lovely central, light, comfortable room with fantastic views. Great for walkers, birdwatchers, beach lovers and more. Please note this is a third floor flat, so plenty of stairs! In centre of town next to a busy pub so can be a bit noisy at times.
Share my bathroom. Bedding and bath towels included. Tea and coffee available in the room.
Right in the centre of beautiful Swanage. You could not be closer to pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach!
  • Bella has a very nice, clean room for rent. A few stairs but well worth it for the ocean view! She also had a lot of great local knowledge about music, sight seeing, and hiking! I don't think I could have found a better place to stay in Swanage!

    James2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

  • We have had a fabulous few days in Magdalena’s apartment in Swanage. The flat itself is so central to the town and is easily accessible to pubs, restaurants and the beach. You are literally a stone’s throw from the beach and swanage Pier, 10 mins from Durlston Castle and about 15/20 minutes from Old Harry and Corfe Castle. We also drove to Durdle Door which only took us 40 minutes. The flat is so cosy and perfect for anyone who wants to cook or to eat out and try a few pubs or restaurants-there’s loads nearby! It has all the essentials necessary for a fab weekend. We had such a Fantastic time and would definitely recommend staying here!

  • We had the best Christmas break away at Martins place ...the wooden decor is so cosy as well as the open fire and hottub. Everything was clean and tidy, even the extra touch of a pint of milk in the fridge! As we were away for Christmas with small children we were happy to see Christmas lights and a Christmas tree which was so lovely when we arrived. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We will be back for sure! Thanks so much for having us.!

It is a 3 minute walk downhill to the beach and the centre of town and very close to the coastal path for walks along the beautiful World heritage Jurassic Coast. The town offers many restaurants, cafes and pubs giving a wide selection of food and drink experiences. In the summer there are additional attractions such as kayaking trips pedelos, fishing trips, boat trips, pitch and putt. and of course you mustn't miss a stroll along the pier. The Swanage Railway may be of interest to steam railway enthusiasts and everyone can enjoy trips to Norden, via Corfe Castle and back. At certain times of the year, reserved supper is an option on the train. • Lovely room, very comfortable bed, lots of space, plus our own private bathroom. Also, there’s a fantastic view from the window. It was wonderful to lie in bed and watch the sea. Caroline’s place is only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and the sea front although it’s quite a steep climb! Lots of places to eat within walking distance and places to walk to. We hope to come and stay again.

The room is cosy & comfortable with tea/coffee. Light breakfast is provided in the kitchen/dining area. Bathroom is shared with the host. NB the service charge is Airbnb booking fee.
Unique photo opportunities of Heritage Railway and its locomotives including many visiting engines i.e. Flying Scotsman and Caledonian.
Swanage is a very friendly town with many cafes, restaurants, galleries and theatre/cinema. Great facilities so if you want to eat in everything is there in the kitchen. Thanks for the scrumptious Dorset Apple cake! Our home is a 3 storey Victorian semi-detatched house. We are just a 5 minute walk down to the town and beach (10 minutes back up the hill to home) We have on road parking right in front of our home.We do live on a fairly steep hill, but very worth it for the amazing sea views.
We offer a spacious double bedroom with En suite shower and toilet, along with your own small balcony with stunning views overlooking the sea. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room as also a toaster with fresh bread and jam/marmalade if a light breakfast is required.
We are literally a 5 minute walk down into the town and to the beach (10 minutes back up the hill!) Swanage is a typical Victorian sea side town with ample eating places/restaurants/public houses/cafes and a good selection of shops. We are also fortunate to be a 5 minute walk from Durlston Country Park with access to spectacular walks which form part of the South west Coastal path.
  • A warm, friendly welcome; attention to detail; thoughtful touches with freedom to come and go easily and to feel at home.

  • Our room had views to the Isle of Wight with a little private balcony. With the bonus of an ensuite and a goody cupboard of bread, jams, fruit juices, tea/coffee, I could go on, we felt very spoilt. Would recommend 100%

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bevs beautiful house. The room was very clean and spacious and we loved that there was indoor space to relax (sofa and a breakfast table) and outdoor space on the balcony. We were also very happy to find a range of drinks, fresh milk, jam and bread in the room for toast. Bev was a very welcoming and helpful host and the local tips helped us make the most of our time in Swanage. We highly recommenda stay!
