Our apartment with garden is located in the historic center of Oberkaufungen. It is located in a half-timbered house overlooking the collegiate church and the Kaufunger Wald. The tram to Kassel is 10 minutes away. The apartment is newly renovated. It has about 40 sqm. Living area consisting of an enclosed bedroom, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen-living room. The apartment is suitable for 2 adults. If a toddler is travelling, a travel cot is available. The garden in front of the house may also be used by the guests. There is a sitting area with table and chairs, it invites you to have breakfast in the countryside, or a glass of wine in the evening sun. Pets are welcome , but must be announced in advance. The stay for a dog costs an extra 10 euros for 1-2 days, for a longer stay 20 euros.

Our quietly located accommodation on the basement with about 25 m² is equipped with modern furniture and a kitchen. A covered seating area with a barbecue is right in front. You can reach the property through a separate front door. Nieste is a small community that invites you to relax with its diverse hiking trails (premium trails) and mountain bike trails. We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning oven, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on our property. Next to the house is the bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, pure reduction!

Family Waldkauz's guesthouse in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love them because of the heavenly tranquility, the little door in the woods and still only 20 km away to Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventure seekers, families (with kids) and larger groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome and are very comfortable regularly.

The guest apartment is on the ground floor of a listed half-timbered house, the former Obermühle in Kaufungen. The house is quietly located in the old town center on the river "Losse" , directly on the hiking trails of the Kaufunger Waldes and below the collegiate church. It is a 5 minute walk to the shops and practices of the town center, it takes about 10 minutes to get to the tram.
