Due to COVID19, a 3-night minimum stay is required this season. This allows us to adhere to proper Airbnb disinfection guidelines between guests. Our goal is a safe, peaceful break during these stressful & unpredictable times. Deer Lake is a quiet 163-acre lake perfect for relaxing getaways. A lakeside fire pit, hot tub, beautiful 4 poster bed & more. OUTDOOR portable toilet with motion-activated lights for night time visits & our unique OUTDOOR showering facilities with a sink.
The Boathouse is the ultimate ‘glamping’ (glamour camping) space! Relax on the couch, look out of the French doors to see a beautiful lake view complete with a firepit area with supplied firewood. The cozy studio space is wonderfully inviting with red brick walls, open rafters to the vaulted ceiling and lots of charm! A beautiful four-poster queen-sized bed will help you relax, cuddle and snooze while listening to the birds in the trees and rain on the roof (weather permitting). Cool weather? We have a 50,000 BTU propane gas heater in the boathouse to warm it up for Airbnb guests any time of year. The front has a 'fire-like' look to add to the cozy ambiance. Warm weather? An oscillating fan & a whole house fan to pull the hot air off the ceiling and a small window air conditioner all to make you more comfortable. Our unique OUTDOOR bathroom facilities have a fun twist that makes the experience ‘rustic.’ PLEASE NOTE- ‘1/2 bath’ includes our OUTDOOR shower and portable OUTDOOR potty. This is as close as we could come to an accurate description ~! Trust us, ‘Glamping’ ROCKS! Finally- if need be, you are always welcome inside our home to use our facilities -just ask. During warm weather... Our outdoor shower with porcelain sink, displayed ‘art’ and solar powered mood lighting (so you can see easily in the darkness) for nighttime can’t be missed. Our guests agree that rustic ‘glamping’ with outdoor showering in this space is unexpectedly wonderful, liberating and beautiful. All weather... We have contracted to have a new ‘Mini Biff’ outdoor potty that is completely serviced ONCE per week. This includes a complete wipe down and fresh holding tank water, chemicals, etc. We have motion detector lights so that you won’t be in the dark no matter the time of day. Solar lights outside make it easy to navigate your way after dark.
We are one-half mile from Deer Lake Apple Orchard on County Road 108 in Marysville Township. Our property ends at a small fishing bridge that spans the entrance to the crow river system. Directly on the other side of the bridge is a handy public boat landing! You need a car to enjoy Buffalo and the surrounding area. The dock is very nice, sturdy and complete with two fun heavy wooden Adirondack chairs for you to rest in while you fish, drink your morning coffee or sip a cocktail and read your favorite novel. Some of the wildlife you may see and enjoy: swans, pelicans, mergansers. geese, hummingbirds, and more. You might even see jumping fish right off of the dock... Our honeymooners from last Spring caught the following fish off of the dock: sunnies, bass, walleye, catfish, northern pike, and various panfish. We so love this place we are lucky enough to call home. Airbnb has provided us the perfect vehicle to share it with all of you. We can’t wait for you to get here:)
  • Kris and Joe We’re exceptional hosts, they made our stay very easy and comfortable. This is a great place to come if you just want a quiet weekend getaway. The outdoor shower was an experience the view is breathtaking. My boyfriend and I had a great time stargazing at night and sitting by the fire. Thanks Kris and Joe for the hospitality !

    Becky2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Joe & Kris exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I’m pretty easy to please but I felt spoiled staying here. They were very easy to get ahold of & frankly they thought of everything, I never needed to ask questions about anything. The ambience upon walking into house was so magical & welcoming. I loved all the details inside as well as the personal touches that made everything feel like home. We loved every single minute of this first time getaway after 9 yrs together. Can’t wait to come again because this was too amazing to not visit again. The outdoor shower was amazing all itself, that experience was liberating & so cool. I loved the quiet intimacy of the entire space & experience. It was unlike anything I’d ever done or even thought of. Great replace for an escape away from the kids for a couple days.

    Shannon2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Second time we’ve stayed here & it never disappoints! Our 6 year old daughter loved fishing off the dock & we always enjoy the apple orchard up the street. It’s the perfect getaway from the city & Joe/Kris are the nicest people! Don’t hesitate booking this little gem of a place.

    Alexandra2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you are at all considering this place, book it NOW. Everything is as advertised or better. We could not have asked for a cozier space to spend a misty chilly day. Endless things to do inside, hot tub warm and ready, and so many fun options in downtown Buffalo. Joe and Kris are wonderful hosts and thought of everything we didn’t. Do it do it do it!

    Maggie2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were there only one night for a wedding we had in the next town. This cute little Boathouse gave us everything we needed. We wish we had at least a day more to enjoy some of the added amenities like the hot tub. If we are ever in the area again we would love to stay again.

    Betty2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, quaint boathouse with a great view which allows dogs with approval. Recommended.

    Jon2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kris and Joe are wonderful hosts- warm, communicative and very accommodating. The boathouse is lovely! I would stay here again without hesitation.

Cozy, family friendly suite on beautifully wooded acreage! Come & go through the private entrance & relax in our homey basement suite. Walking, biking & horse trails at Lake Rebecca are accessed from the backyard, or enjoy a blazing fire in the outdoor fire pit! Plenty of space w/a Queen bed, sofa, recliner, extra air mattresses & 2 Pack 'n Plays available. Private adjoining bathroom, fridge, microwave & snacks are included for your comfort. We live on 5 beautifully wooded acres, and the basement suite has scenic views of the woods! There is a parking space for you, and the private entrance on the side of the house leads to the large, private studio suite, with closet space, TV, coffee maker, mini fridge & microwave. There are lots of toys & games available for any kiddos on the trip, and plenty of room to explore the outdoors. We do have horses, dogs, and chickens onsite at our barn, and visits with the animals can be arranged! We are a friendly, drama free family and look forward to making your visit as comfortable as possible. We do live upstairs, so some family noise should be expected...I like to make note of that so no one is surprised by this :-) We respect your privacy but are available for any needs that may arise!
We live in the country, but are about 2 miles from Delano conveniences! Coborns, Caribou and other necessities are minutes away. • Great place and location for an AirBnB. The walking / biking trails were directly behind there location within 1/2 block of wooded area to navigate through until you got onto hard surfaced trail. Very private accommodations & 3/4 bathroom. Even without a kitchenette the microwave and mini fridge were enough to manage meals around.

  • I chose Amanda's place because 'wooded preserve' & 'farm' were highlighted . I couldn't have been happier staying at her place. There are trees visible out every window, and I love it. A walking path just outside the back door. Its absolutely heavenly. It is just what my soul needed, and I find it coming back to life while staying at her little place in the country. Minneapolis is just 30 minutes away, so not far at all. I would definitely stay at Amanda's place again! Meeting the horses and dogs were an added bonus!

    Dawn2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating

    Tyler2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's studio was a perfect respite for me... my visit required daily travel late into the evening and I was always grateful to return to my home away from home where the space was comfortable and cozy, but very spacious. Spacious enough so I could easily practice yoga or simply spread out in every direction. Amanda is generous with supplies and offers treats and coffee. Though this trip needed to be done in the winter I would love to return to this wooded property in the spring or fall.

    Ann2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place away from the cities but yet not too far. Clean. Nice host. Responds very quickly and accommodates your needs quickly. Thank you for opening your home to me and my 2 fur babys!!

    Carolyn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda was very helpful and prompt in responding to my questions and we were so looking forward to staying at her place, but because of blizzard conditions and freezing rain it was not the safest choice for us to travel. Amanda was very understanding and even gave us a refund for part of our scheduled stay, which she was not required to do under her cancellation policy. Thanks Amanda and we hope it works for us to stay at your place sometime in the future! D Tunby

    Darinda2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great spot with lots of great and thoughtful amenities throughout. We appreciated the bottled water and clear signage. Check-in instructions were very straightforward, and Amanda was very easy to communicate with. Our stay was brief, but we would definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone. The morning sunrise through the trees was lovely! Thanks for having us!

Just outside Waconia Minnesota. 1 hour from MSP airport. Quaint country views in a classic farm house. Newly renovated appartment on the 2nd level with private entrance. Full kitchen. 3rd bedroom available for an added fee. Close to one of the sweetest wine towns in the United States.

  • Nice and clean place. Extremely great value!!

    Ernest2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience! Despite some rough weather, our toddler and us had a wonderful time! The animals were so friendly, and we were welcomed the outdoor space without boundaries. It felt like home, but better! Beautiful, comfortable space. Emphasis on both! I felt like I was stepping into Chip and Joanna’s. And had coffee and fresh farm eggs waiting 🙃 Even twinkly lights under the bunk where our daughter stayed. She loved it! We will be back.

  • Great place. Loved it!

    Mike2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute and clean place to stay. It had everything we needed and more, with a full kitchen, shower products, extra unopened toothbrushes; they though of everything. The area is beautiful and the family was right down in the unit below. We could hear them sometimes, but it wasn’t a problem. I would definitely stay here again.

    Caroline2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place! We loved our stay and all of the wonderful touches they have put forth to make the place feel like a home and a farmhouse apartment. Especially loved the view of both the sunrise and sunset from the living room.

    Kurt2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wow - what an amazing Airbnb! Incredibly clean, family friendly (our boys loved the bunk beds) and filled with all sorts of extra touches (iPhone chargers next to the bed, sound machine etc.) Our only regret is that we were only staying for one night on our way to northern MN.

  • Great place to stay. I was in the area on business and I was more than happy with the accommodations. Everything you could think of in the kitchen as far as utensils, blenders, mixing bowls, storage containers etc. I was there during the covid-19 ordeal with no restaurants open and this kitchen was a joy to cook in. Clean & well appointed living & bedroom areas. I would definitely stay there again.

The cabin is just as cute as it looks in the pictures and the view of the lake is stunning! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We ventured to Annandale and had a delicious dinner at Jules. We would go back again!

  • This was hands down my best Airbnb experience . From the stunning peaceful location to the cabin that was stocked with everything you could need , this was the perfect place to stay . Not to mention the hosts are outstanding . We forgot our fishing poles at home and they were so kind as to let us borrow there’s, came early to bring them to the cabin and all . We loved our stay here and hopefully will be visiting again in the future !

    Erica2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Patricia's place was great. A quiet, secluded lake house with great amenities, super clean and relaxing. A perfect place to spend a few days unwinding outside of the city!

  • Adorable place, you can tell a lot of care was put into making this a most beautiful cabin. And it felt brand new too. Very clean (and I am pretty ocd with hotel cleanliness). Was so nice that refreshments were provided so we could share them with our family that stopped by. We even took advantage of some of the games which I usually wouldn't bother with :) There are iron water stains in the bathroom but you know what it is so its not bothersome. Hot tip: bring a case of bottled water for drinking and making coffee if you're not used to MN water. Starbucks coffee grounds are provided! If you need groceries and you're coming from the North, get them in St. Cloud ~ 45 min away. We didn't, as we figured we would just go to breakfast. We went to Homestyle Cafe in Annandale, 7.5 miles away, a standard breakfast joint. During the day we were in Cokato so we got lunch at Lucky Kitchen (chinese) which was good for a quick meal, if not that flavorful. On the way home we stopped in St. Cloud.

  • This cabin was exactly what my wife and I needed as a getaway for our 12th anniversary. We live in the Twin Cities and appreciated the absolute quiet this cabin offers. The attention to detail in the decor is a great touch to the experience. This host's generosity was very much appreciated from the use of her canoe to the small bags of popcorn upon entry. We could not have asked for more and hope to return to this amazing getaway again in the future.

A quiet, cozy room located on a sleepy residential street. A 5 minute walk from shopping, fine dining, bars and historic buildings. Experience Minnesota country living while being near the city. This room is perfect for responsible adults on a budget. Please send me an inquiry if you have any questions! Comfy mattress and pillows. 24/7 access with electronic keypad. Minneapolis convention center 34 min drive. Near Albertville Outlet Mall with 110+ shops.
A comfortable, practical, small bedroom in a 50's Cape Cod style home. The room has a view of the large backyard with old maple trees that were planted by my neighbor in 1958. You can also enjoy a campfire in the backyard weather permitting. The bathroom features twin sinks, a large glass block window that brings in natural light and oak cabinets. There are some bath oils and bath salts if you'd care for a soak. This room has a stylish glass desk with a view of the charming back yard. For your entertainment there is a smart TV with a local media server packed with movies & TV shows. For your convenience there is a fridge and microwave tucked into the closet. There's also a one cup coffee maker with bags of tea and coffee. If you're the kind of person who prefers things a little quieter but still needs to be near the city, this place is for you. This home is equipped with central heating and cooling so its one control for the whole house but we can open/close vents in your room if its too hot or cold. The style of the house is Cape Cod which is a very simple box shape to survive harsh winters. Some things like the flooring, trim, doors and vents are original to the house and old.
This charming neighborhood dates back to the 1860's when German immigrants settled here. The Corner Bar dates back to 1897 and you can still get a drink there today. The Saint Michael church was built in 1890. Some of the homes on this block, including this one, were built in the 1950's when the population was less than 1,000. There is shopping, dining, bars, coffee shops and a bowling alley within walking distance. My favorite restaurant, a non-profit organization, is The Liberty. The Main Street Farmer is locally owned, sources ingredients locally and slightly more pricey but truly a 4 star restaurant. The BK Taphouse is a new German style beer hall with locally brewed beers and food from local Minnesota farms. This part is Saint Michael is really something to experience because you can still feel the charm from the original German settlers of the 1890's. I think you'll enjoy staying close and dining at these local places more than chain restaurants. If you can't get enough of it, I recommend going to Dehmer's Meats (where BK Taphouse gets their sausages) and taking some home with you.

Enjoy relaxing, scenic views from this quiet studio cabin + loft set on a quiet road. From this location, you can walk to Lord Fletcher's (a nearby restaurant located on Lake Minnetonka). An easy drive to Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Mound, Wayzata, Bloomington). The cozy studio cabin features a queen bed and an additional loft area for reading/relaxation. It is fully equipped with towels, linens, and dishes/basic kitchen items. Wireless internet is included.
This cute little cabin is located just minutes from the Lord Fletchers on Lake Minnetonka. Please note that the property backs up to wetlands so it does not have a back yard. The front yard can get wet in heavy rains as well, but the cabin stays dry and cozy.
  • Cute cabin in a great location, with clean accommodations and an accessible host. We enjoyed our stay!

  • Jessica's cabin is a neat little place in the middle of an extremely popular area with lots to do and see. Bike trails, grocery, restaurants and the lake are all right there. Great stay.

  • I really enjoyed staying at Jessica's Cabin. She communicated wonderfully during my stay. Nice to be close to the Noerenberg Memorial Gardens, the Harvest Moon Coop and the Lake Minnetonka Swim Pond. I'd say Jessica went "above and beyond" to make sure I felt comfortable and had what I needed.

The Nordic Cottage is a 16'x9' cabin in our back yard & overlooks a stone patio area & pool. Our lot is a 3/4 acre wooded site with an upper level fire pit. Sliding door leads the patio area and access to the swimming pool. Our neighborhood is across the street from a trail access leading to about 85 miles of trails leading all over Chaska and the rest of Eastern Carver County. The bathroom is located in our of home which is next to cottage. Parking on driveway or out front, on the street.
Our guest house was originally used as an art studio but we've now converted it into more of a cabin inside. The cabin has cedar wainscoting and a cedar tongue in grove ceiling. There is a small loft for the adventurous and a brand new air bed for more conservative sleeping arrangements (both have nice cotton sheets, down comforters and are super comfortable) There is a gas fireplace and supplemental electric heater for extra warmth and an air conditioner when it gets hot. The space is charming and a cozy place to curl up with a book or lap top. We have a microwave and on demand hot water pot for small snacks and tea.
Our neighborhood is nice with custom homes built in the 90's and is located along city trails connecting to ravine and levy trails that lead around the rest of our community. We have many mature trees and the neighborhood has a nice feel. We have two police officers who live close by and we are only a few miles from shopping and restaurants. We are 9 minutes from the 494 beltway and about 30 min to MSP Airport.
  • We enjoyed the warm, cozy cottage so much we're sure to stay again sometime. We thought it might be awkward to have to use the restroom in the main house but it was easy access and non-imposing. We enjoyed meeting Nora the dog who was really chill and we appreciated the local suggestions for breakfast. Croissants at The Red Bench were delish! We lacked for nothing in our stay and look forward to staying during a different season as well.

  • This worked perfectly for what I needed! I stayed there for two nights while I was in between jobs, the communication was extremely quick and responsive, would recommend staying here!

  • Such a great place to stay! The cottage is adorable and has such a wonderful energy to it. Greg was worried it would be a little cold because of the weather the day before, but he put an extra space heater in there and we were nice and toasty. There’s a Bluetooth sound system and the microwave was a nice touch! I thought it might be a little awkward walking into the house to use the bathroom, but it really wasn’t at all. Greg and Cindy were such great hosts and were very welcoming. They’ve thought of everything when it comes to accommodating their guests.Their dog Nora is a big sweetheart too!

    Jess2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We just had a wonderful relaxing weekend in Greg & Cindy's cute cottage! These amazing hosts are very attentive and more than willing to help in any way possible to assure your stay is a pleasant one. Greg & Cindy offered many tips and ideas for area attractions and dining...truly appreciated. Highly reccomend staying here when in the area. Thank you kindly Greg,Cindy,Lauren & Nora!

    Lenny2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find, quiet and charming. I especially loved the Bluetooth speakers surround sound in the little cabin to listen to my own music and rest. Download your favorite playlist!

  • Everything was perfect! Couldn’t ask for a better host, experience, and cute & cozy cabin!

  • Greg and Cindy's Nordic cabin is fantastic. It's well decorated with painted plates and a small library of books. The space has a homey feel, brought out by the warm blankets, gas fireplace, flowers, readily available coffee, tea and chocolates. Most importantly, Lauren and Greg are great hosts who make sure a person has everything they need for a good stay.

Quaint hideaway less than one hour from Minneapolis. Enjoy the serene landscape and lake. Almost as if your own private lake, enjoy boating, fishing etc. The historic character provides a unique experience with modern updates for comfort.
Secluded cabin with access to a pontoon and kayak rental in the area. Deck is right above the shore. Lions' Park on Howard Lake has a dock launch to bring your boat to the dock to the house and enjoy all activities on the lake.
We have a pontoon rental next door at Codger's cove. We also have kayak rental in town at a business called The Man Cave. We have the local Legion that has bands every weekend which is just a half miles away. Local liquor and Grocery store with local little shops. We are across the road from the Wright County Fair Grounds for the Wright County Fair.
  • A couple friends and I spent the weekend for a short getaway from the cities. It was just far enough to feel like a vacation but an extremely quick drive. Deneen was very responsive from the moment we booked and answered all of our questions! When we got there the view was gorgeous, even better than all the pictures. We had so much fun and will definitely be back. The best part about everything was she made a cute little s’mores welcome basket for us, definitely the icing on the cake!!

    Jenna2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is just the sweet lake slide getaway we were needing. Less than an hour from the cities, but felt like the north woods. The geese, ducks, and swans kept us company. Beds and pillows were comfy, as was the living room with its gas stove and picture window onto the lake. Felt private, even though there were neighbors carefully screened by fences. We would live to come back.

Wellsprings is a beautiful 40 acre, eco-friendly retreat farm. A wonderful, healing place for individuals or small groups. Rent 1 to 3 separate, lovely unique cabins or even the whole farm. The Prairie Dome is our largest cabin with a double bed in the loft with skylight. Beautiful! The Wellness Center is great place to gather with kitchenette, sauna, library, chapel, bathroom/shower. Wellsprings has a labyrinth in the native prairie, a small lake for swimming/boating & walking paths.
There are 3 individual and separate cabins/hermitages. For groups larger than 6 or renting the whole farm please contact us directly. All cabins are self-catering with environmentally friendly compost toilets. Each include microwave, coffeemaker, small refrigerator, hot plate, dishes, cookware, linens, blankets, towels, coffee/tea etc. They each have a fireplace and baseboard heat for winter and air conditioner and fans for summer. The only thing one needs to bring is personal items and food for lunch/dinner. Breakfast food is complimentary and available at your convenience in the Wellness Center. There is also a wonderful library full of books, cd's of music and spiritual material and meditative/mandala coloring books. There is plenty of space for crafting, yoga, programs or just talking. The cabins/hermitages are all accessible by car and are in close walking distance of the Wellness Center, the central building. Check out our website.
We are near Annandale, in the heart of the lakes district of Minnesota. Annandale has a local brewery, old time museum, butcher shop, quaint stores and a glorious restaurant called Jules Cafe which serves fresh, local fare

I stayed at House of Clare - absolutely adorable. Slept with the windows open enjoying the cool summer breeze coming off the lake - delightful ! Also appreciated the many little extras including Dans hospitality and the treat basket of goodies waiting for me upon arrival. Looking forward to returning ! Thank you so much Dan & Joan !!!!!!

Our family took out two of the boats provided almost every single night (so relaxing to watch the sun go down!) Huge bathroom, nice bedroom sizes, amazing living room and eat in bar area. Everything was so clean and the owners were friendly and inviting! We were greeted with a basket of snacks & even some toys (sand bucket, bubbles & water toys) for our children the second day! Can't speak highly enough about this property and the owners! You will LOVE it!

This was the perfect girls weekend filled with sun, fun, and relaxation. Deb was great and so welcoming. The communication was responsive and timely. The indoor space is just as amazing as the outdoor space. We will definitely be back!

  • Great place to stay in Buffalo, MN. Beautiful home, very well laid out and set up for guests. We stayed in the summertime, and the pool was great, a hot tub, outdoor seating, big yard leading right down to the lake with a beautiful dock, with plenty of water craft available to enjoy time out on the lake!

    Tanis2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Me & my 2 best friends stayed at Deb's for a few days in June and we are so glad we did! We were able to use the outdoor pool, soak up a lot of sun, and sit in the hot tub at night and look up at the stars. We played some games together inside and enjoyed making breakfast together! There was more than enough space. We fell in love with downtown Buffalo. The people were so sweet to us and all of the little shops were so quaint! We've already talked about coming back to stay at Deb's next summer!

Winsted is known to as the town that hosts WINSTOCK, one of the state's largest Country Music Festivals. Over 10,000 people visit to enjoy class acts and fun. We are located just 45 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and 25 minutes or less from four superb wineries that offer tours and wine tasting. Also several private owned breweries offer great beers to try. Local apple orchards offer hay rides and pick-your-own apples. Luce Line Trail is just blocks away for biking or walking adventure.
Our apartment has many windows facing corn fields and a pond. It is beautiful as it is peaceful. Sit on the stone patio as you watch the sun set. We are located in a small, quiet neighborhood just blocks from downtown Winsted.
Small and quiet neighborhood with off-street parking. Our lot is at the end of the City Limits of Winsted with farming country behind our large 3/4 acre back yard.
  • Sue's place is truly a home away from home. The place is clean, welcoming, and has everything that you need. I appreciate all the cooking options and the fact that she always has ice in the freezer, cold water in the refrigerator, and makes these amazing cinnamon rolls. This was our third time staying and just as great. Sue is always available to answer questions or offer help. This trip we ate some amazing steaks at the local hangout--the Blue Note Ballroom. Sue's place is suitable for couples, families, and people with young children. We've stayed there using all the options. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable, and the views of the backyard and pond are amazing. We can't wait to stay again.

  • Jackson's lake front place is modern with beautiful views right on a quiet part of the lake. They were very easy to communicate with and check in was smooth. The amazing coffee bar was an especially big hit with us along with the fireplace inside and fire pit outside. It was a perfect place for us to hangout.

  • Thanks for the stay!

  • Jackson and Shelley's home on the lake was a perfect weekend getaway despite the unpredictable March weather. My girlfriends and I were looking for a place where we could practice some indoor/outdoor meditation and yoga. There was astroturf and a fire pit close to the lake where we could roll-out our mats and breath in the fresh air. We could also unwind and enjoy the indoors with a fun coffee bar and Ms. Pac Man arcade game. Can't wait to visit in the summer when we can get out on water!

    Jennifer2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson and Shelley's place on Avocet Lane is a perfect getaway for couples or a family looking for a beautiful spot on the water in a quiet neighborhood. The photos don't quite capture the beauty of their shoreline and view to the lake -- and the beautifully landscaped yard. The apartment is stylish, pristine clean, well-stocked with the basics. The kitchen, dining and living area are light-filled and you have access to a screen-in porch with a large TV. We had our family over for a barbecue and they loved hanging out on the dock in the evening - sitting on the bench, fishing and paddling around in their pedal boat. It is a great place for just relaxing yourselves or having a few friends over. Jackson and Shelley are top-notch hosts - warm and responsive and always in communication if you need anything. We couldn't recommend this home more.

    Antoinette2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four felt at home in this beautiful home. The yard had plenty of green space and games for the kids to play, and my husband and I loved the chairs by the lake in the evening after the kids went to bed. The house was clean and very comfortable, the coffee bar a bonus! Jackson and Shelley were super accommodating and kind enough to take us out for an evening boat ride. We look forward to booking next summer’s trip here again.

    Melissa2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great host and amazing location. Peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend for a lake place getaway that is a short commute from Minneapolis. Jackson took the time to introduce himself and take us on a fantastic boat cruise. I will never forget my experience and already looking forward to another visit!

    Theodore2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about this rental. It was everything we wanted plus more. It was the perfect place for our family of five. Our three small boys had toys to play with and enjoyed all the rental had to offer. I was able to make meals at the house and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We loved the pedal boat and enjoyed the boat ride with Jackson and Shelley. They are amazing. We can't wait to return.

    Lindsay2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a quick parents getaway. From the moment we walked in, we knew we picked the best vacation home. Jackson and Shelley are amazing hosts. They thought of everything to make our stay spectacular! The home was beautifully decorated and the lake was divine! The screened in porch make our rainy day so fun! We were close to great restaurants. And we enjoyed exploring local wineries and breweries. I hope we can come back soon!

This charming home is an ideal, tranquil retreat. While only a moment's walk from town, it is secluded, sitting directly on the lake. Kayaks are provided. Watch the sun rise and set from the house, the shore or while floating. Eagles & loons are active, so watch for those, too. The house is fully furnished which will make your stay a comfortable. Come to focus on doing the things you love: walking, shopping, fishing or just being. *Please note: Month-long stays are not available Jun-Aug
This charming, fully furnished lake home is one of the oldest properties in Buffalo, MN. It sits directly on scenic Buffalo Lake. The living room, sun room / dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and even the bathroom have windows with lake views. The clawfoot tub is an ideal place for soaking at the end of a day.
While only a moment's walk from historic downtown and all that it has to offer, this retreat feels very secluded. There are no neighbors within view, adding to the feeling of seclusion and privacy.
  • Like home! We had an extended stay and Bev made sure were always well taken care of. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Love the house! Thanks Bev!

    Micah2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do the yard justice - the yard is bigger than I thought. The views of the lake were incredible! We were able to have a fire in the fire pit and cook a meal out on the grill! Anytime I needed something from Bev, she would respond right away! Great big fridge to hold all of our food for our family get-together! I hope to stay here again some day!

    Penny2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bev and Darrell’s cottage! The location was private and yet close to everything you need. Beautiful view of the lake! We kayaked and did some fishing, but didn’t catch any. Great place to watch the fish jump though! Bev was so kind as she dropped off a bottle of homemade wine (which we enjoyed very much and too quickly)! She also provided us another nights stay for free!! We are so thankful for her generosity and couldn’t wait to share our experience with others. We hope to stay at Bev and Darrell’s cottage again and next time with family and friends!

    Sunshine2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient to town and yet this place feels very private. I love this quaint, darling little blue house. The kids had so much fun in the kayaks and their parents enjoyed fishing. Bev and Darrell were great hosts and made sure our stay was memorable. It was perfect for a former Minnesota girl to come home to!

    Victoria2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing space! Beautiful lake views and seating areas. Right next to the action, we were able to walk to the boat rental pavilion and restaurants and bars. Bev is a delight and super helpful. Not to mention a great price! Fit 6 of us girls comfortably

    Kelsy2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Bev and Darrell's place. The house was comfortable and easily accommodated our family of six. The yard is rock, rather than grass (so bring flip flops) but plenty of space to have yard games, dine al fresco, and make a bonfire. We spent almost all daylight hours on the sand beach wading, skipping rocks, floating, and using the kayaks they so generously let us use. The kitchen had everything we needed to have a great meal each evening. Check in and out was easy. Many thoughtful touches throughout the home. Bev and Darrell both were so kind in all communication. The location is also great-- on the water, secluded from view and neighbors, but definitely "in town". Great value!

    Elizabeth2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • A charming little cottage with comfy beds and cozy modern style. Right on the lake with plenty of viewing spots, but within a couple blocks of downtown Buffalo. Bev and Daryl definitely think of everything and are gracious, attentive hosts throughout the stay.

Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Minnetonka from this beautiful home with lake shore frontage! You will have access to a private guest room and guest bathroom (bathroom may be shared with one other guest), as well as a fully-stocked kitchen, three living/sitting rooms, onsite fitness equipment, and laundry. Outside amenities include a large deck that overlooks the lovely waters of Lake Minnetonka, and a private neighborhood island.
This upper level room features an AMAZING view of Harrinson's Bay of Lake Minnetonka. It is arguably one of the best views from the upper level! The room is furnished with a queen bed, dresser, bedside table, and a smart TV. The guest bathroom MAY be shared with another guest, depending on current bookings. When you are here, you are truly welcomed as part of our family. We have met so many amazing people during our time as hosts, and treasure the friendships we have made. It is not uncommon for guests to sit with us around the neighbor's bonfire on a lovely summer evening, enjoy a cold beverage on our deck, join us for a meal, or sit at our kitchen table and play a board game (sometimes numerous games depending on the night and the game!) Guests are welcome to make themselves comfortable in our home! This includes cooking in the kitchen, using the barbecue grill, working out on the exercise equipment, or anything else within reason that will make your stay a pleasant and happy one.
Quiet, peaceful neighborhood near shops, stores, and restaurants.
  • Awesome place with a great view of the lake. Even though I started staying here in January and the lake is frozen over, the beauty and charm of the area is very apparent. Would definitely recommend staying here if looking for a place in Mound or the surrounding area. The family is nice and easy to get along with.

Your lake retreat awaits! Smores at the fire pit, kayak, SUP, paddleboat, fish on quiet lake. Bike/Hike trails in Carver Park/Lowry Nature Center. Grill dogs & burgers right outside your private suite entrance! Comfy queen bed, living room w/fireplace, kitchen, bath, & sauna. Trails down hill to lake - watch sunset or fish off dock. Complimentary use of water toys and bikes. Summer, Spring Fall - enjoy swim, canoe, kayak, fishing in our duck boat, hike, bike. Winter snowshoe, ski, bike or hike!
This is an excellent, private space located in the walk-out, lower level of our home on a private lake. There are two trails down to the lake. One is more steep and direct, one more leisure and winding. There's a little rest stop with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the view. There is a large flat area at the lake and large platform on dock with bench to meditate or watch another from your group paddleboat, kayak, ect. Inside, there is one bedroom, complete kitchen, full bath, sauna and a nice size living room with a pull out couch. Use of a comfy queen size airbeds or the pull out couch. The living room has large sliding doors looking out to our lake where you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing, snow shoeing and other winter sports. Check in/out times are flexible. We have it set at check in between 5-10pm and check out at noon. We understand folks want to enjoy our slice of heaven so early check-in or late check-out can be arranged depending on schedule and availability.
The uniqueness of our neighborhood is that we have the lake on one side and a long driveway to the road. Thus, we only have 2 neighbors! We are on 2.6 acres and our backyard is a 100 acre lake. On the other side of the lake is all nature park land with lots of trails to walk or bike on. You can walk to downtown Victoria or take a 10 minute drive or 30 minute bike to downtown Excelsior. We are conveniently located close to all the amenities you need (grocery, gas, Target) but you will feel like you are in the country. Our neighborhood is very private! There are just 30 homes on 1 acres lots on the lake and 1/3 of the lake is nature preserve. There are bike/walking trails right out the door. You will enjoy the peaceful, tranquil environment feeling like you're in the north woods but still be within 10 minutes of anything you need! We are also very close a great dog park.
  • Highly recommend staying at this lovely air bnb if you are looking for a beautiful view, rustic home, and very accommodating hosts who take the time to make sure your comfortable while adding extra touches. We loved everything about this stay! Thank you so much for opening your home to us, Debbie, it was a great way to spend time on a lake front property and we also really enjoyed eating out & going bowling in Excelsior.

  • Debbie and Austin were the perfect hosts! On our arrival, they showed us around the property, pointing out the different amenities and suggestions of things to do on our stay with them as well as places nearby to eat. The property is a beautiful setting on a private lake where we enjoyed a sunset kayak cruise. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet place to get away for the weekend and this was the perfect site. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were more than adequate for our needs. Will definitely try to go back again!

    Janice2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was a wonderful hostess. And such a beautiful property. She even went as far as picking fresh flowers for me on my arrival day! If I get to come back for work, I'd love to stay here again and utilize all the great lake amenities!

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your space with us in the midst of your renovation. A wonderfully relaxing visit. If you’re looking to feel like you are in a secluded, wooded area yet in the midst of it all, this is the location. And to make it even sweeter, a beautiful lake just steps away. We were able to fish and catch our dinner one night! As far as the space, we found it to be extremely comfortable. Sitting area has great sofas. The bed and pillows really nice and excellent water pressure in the shower. The kitchen comes fully stocked - plus some, making cleaning and grilling our dinner super easy. Debbie is a very kind, generous and accommodating hostess. We definitely look forward to returning and seeing your completed reno!

We enjoyed the beautiful fireplace and lakefront view! The place was clean and close to many restaurants. I would highly recommend!

  • My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs for 5 nights over Christmas. Ths house was gorgeous and comfortable. We alternated between watching tv in front of the fire and snuggling up with the pups on the couch in the sunroom. Great ice fishing on Minnetonka just minutes away. The location is amazing; close to a cute shopping area and great restaurants but feels secluded and quiet. It was a perfect, relaxing getaway! Highly recommend.

Quiet cul-de-sac. Private bedroom & bathroom. Shared semi-private family room: fireplace, & second kitchen. Grab a blanket & curl up on the couch, read a book in a comfy chair, watch DVDs, play games, do a puzzle. Enjoy the view and fire-pit outside! Due to recent abuses we don’t allow smokers.
We are in a cul-de-sac which backs up to a beautiful woods with lush green in the late spring into summer, and fall colors in autumn. The area is very peaceful and quiet. I great place for a retreat from the busyness of life.

  • This place was awesome! This was our first time at an Airbnb without a private entrance, and it was wonderful. The house was beautiful and very clean! We had the whole walk-out basement for our stay which included a living room with a gas fireplace which we loved, a bathroom, a full kitchen, and the bedroom. It was sparkling clean! It was a very nice neighborhood and very quiet. Mark was out of town while we were there, but his wife was very gracious and welcoming. And the price was great! We were so impressed with everything!

    Jill2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

Minneapolis convention center 34 min drive. *Teleportation not guaranteed. This is a basement suite in a house. I live on the 1st floor and my roommate lives on the 2nd floor
This room has a fun theme thats energetic and takes you out of your daily grind. Its romantic and perfect for couples. The room is very quiet. The basement also includes a family room and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a coffee maker, toaster, frying pan, sauce pan, microwave and fridge only. It doesn't have an oven, freezer or blender. You can also enjoy a campfire in the backyard weather permitting. Please send me an inquiry if you have any questions!
  • Quiet neighborhood; a basement bedroom and living area including kitchenette all to yourself. Will stay nice and cool in the summer, I enjoyed it at the end of winter with the beach theme and tropical colors.

  • This is our third stay with Douglas. His space is comfortable and he is accommodating to requests. Again, the small kitchenette made it easy for us to enjoy a light breakfast before heading out for our family Christmas activities. His place provided a much needed respite over three days of family events. Thank you again Douglas. Roger and Linda

  • Great place! Will stay there again

  • Douglas's space is wonderful for a quiet, peaceful get-a-way. We were close to activities we were going to and found everything exactly as shown. While the kitchenette is small, it has everything you need for putting together small meals for two - including coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. While we didn't use the small stove due to being out to family for Thanksgiving, it was clean and ready should we have decided to do so. Nice sitting area for evening TV viewing plus TV access above the bed if you are watching different shows. Thanks again Douglas, we will likely be back. Roger and Linda

  • Doug's place was true to its island cabana theme. He provided fresh towels and robes as well as a spacious downstairs area. Our stay was comfortable and we would recommend to anyone.

  • Nice theme decorated room. Great value.

  • I really only needed a space to rest my head for a few hours after a wedding I was attending. This place definitely covered that. But the space was nice enough that I would stay longer if I had to. There are a lot of little touches like notes and cool lights. Douglas was very accommodating when I asked if I could arrive early so I could change for the wedding. The room wasn’t ready but he let me use a spare room and a bathroom to get ready. I really appreciated that. I would recommend this space and Douglas.

  • Nice room and bath. Great Family room space, but I didn't need it. Conveniently located to my family. Just what I was looking for a quiet clean place to sleep.

30min from Twin Cities, Minnesota, Lake home, Lake Cabin, Large Lake Lot, Large Home, Plenty of parking, Fishing, Boating, Snowmobiling, Heated, Central Air conditioning, Laundry
Ground Level home with open kitchen and living room. Three separate bedroom and a large "flex space" room with sofa bed. We also have some full size blow up mattresses that our kids use for additional sleeping. There is a large four season bonus room that steps out on a 24x20 patio over looking the lake. The house sits up on top of a gradual slope for great lake views and nice breezes during the hot summer months. The house is heated all year round and offer excellent access off Waverly Lake for boating, fishing, snowmobiling.
The neighbors on the west are part time the neighbors to the east and full time residents. There is a nice mix of full time and vacation homes on the lake. North Shore Drive is a quite tar road that is nice for walks, biking, etc. The small town of Waverly is across the lake and is roughly a 1mile walk/bike/drive. Waverly has the Up Town Bar and Restaurant (check out (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) reviews and pics) and a few small antique shops. Waverly also has a town hall to rent out for events (very reasonable). If you are looking for more amenities the City of Buffalo (20K people) is just a short 10 min drive north and Minneapolis and its suburbs are just 20 minutes east on hwy 12. We are also roughly 35 minutes form St Cloud.
  • Awesome view, beautiful lake, very relaxing and great place for our family to be together for cooking, meals and games. Very spacious and comfortable!

    Judi2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd time staying here and we'll almost certainly be back again next year for #3!

    Tom2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say this place superseded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. This was a perfect way to reconnect with our friends and their children. The open floor plan concept was perfect for a large group and was sparkling clean with new linens etc. Plenty if room to cook, eat, play games and for little ones to be running/crawling around. We rented a Pontoon from Chartered Rentals and enjoyed a day on the lake. The patio had a large table with plenty of seating and there was an adjacent fireplace we sat at every night. We also appreciated just a 40 minute drive home to Minneapolis with little to no traffic. We highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be back!

  • We had a wonderful stay! The view was beautiful! Access to the lake could not be any easier. Plenty of places for the family to sleep, large spaces to gather. Our hosts were helpful and readily available. Ready to book again!

  • Perfect for families. Clean and spacious home. Great beds, loved being able to use the kayaks and life vests.

    Nancy2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was a great host! We were very happy with the location right on the lake and similar to other reviewers the space was much bigger and open than expected! We were in town for a family wedding so our days were packed with events leaving us little time to enjoy the backyard and lake, but the view was wonderful, the location was quiet and peaceful too. The house had all the amenities we needed and toys the kids could play with too! Ben was also very understanding when my young daughter decided to write her name with a perm marker on a toy... he appreciated the artwork! I would recommend this home if you're in the area! Next time we visit MN we'll come back so we can spend some time on the water!

    Sylvia2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for a group getaway. Far enough away from the city to be peaceful and quiet but close enough if you want to make a trip to town.

  • We have never been so impressed with anywhere we have stayed. The tremendous generosity & thoughtfulness were way, way, way more than we expected. The rest of our out-of-town family stayed at a bed 'n breakfast in Excelsior. It definitely has its vintage charm, but in no way could compare to the amenities and comfort of "our place. " We plan to come back in the future to visit the area again, and we would most definitely like to repeat our visit. Thank you so much for everything, and for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  • Bed was very comfortable! The fireplace near the foot of the bed is a nice touch. They also had a great movie selection. I stayed overnight for Valentine's Day and put chocolate hearts with the snacks! Bed is by the door you enter when you come in from the driveway. It was clean and they had plenty of space for your things (2 luggage racks and 2 hanging racks). The bed is open to the living room. The back wall is the one with the sliding door (Leads upstairs to owners quarters).

  • This place was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The host stopped down when we arrived and showed us how everything worked (fireplace, TV, etc...). We would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

    Theresa2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent experience! Private driveway and entryway made it more comfortable for us to go in and out without worry of disturbing the hosts. Very thoughtful touches and amenities such as discount cards and recommendations for local activities/restaurants. Very responsive hosts and they definitely respected our privacy as well!
