In the village of Montefioralle, the Meridiana, the charm of historic homes. In front of one of the ancient castle gates, the house is part of the medieval castle. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen, the dining room with a large fireplace, a sitting area and the ancient vaulted cellar, on the first floor the two double bedrooms, the bathroom, a living room/study and the garden with table and chairs where you can spend pleasant evenings. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available.

Peaceful hideaway in a 11th century Tuscan village

Imagine a former medieval tower, once part of a 11th century fortified castle. As you enter, like in most Tuscan country houses, there is a kitchen with a stone sink. A stairway brings to the first floor where there are two bedrooms with their original terracotta floors and wooden beams. They both offer a gorgeus, unobstructed view of Chianti vineyards and hills. And a private access to a terracotta terrace facing the valley. It's hard to imagine a more peaceful scenery.

The Tower was created in the late 1800s by an illustrious Englishman, Sir John Temple Leader, in one of the oldest and most important stone quarries belonging to the Medici family. From the same quarry were extracted many important works such as the columns of the Medici chapels, the steps of the Laurenziana library .. all just 5 km from the historic center of Florence.
