This lovely cottage is located a few meters from Lake Vänern and has a sandy beach, wood-fired sauna and a jetty with a wood-fired hot tub for 5 people. Perfect even for winter swimming! The view out over the lake is amazing! The cottage is 42 km v with 2 sleeping lofts, living room with sofa bed, TV, dining area, kitchenette, fridge/freezer, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, toilet, shower and washing machine. Large glass doors can be opened out to the terrace which has a gas grill, outdoor furniture and sun chairs. This is a quiet, nature-laden accommodation 15 km outside Lidköping.

On the outskirts of the small village of Fengersfors in the forests of northern Dalsland. Within a 500 meters radius you will find the nature reserve, the big clear swimming-lake and the old paper mill which now holds the arts and crafts community “Not Quite”. Great cabin where you live "on" the water. The cabin is located at Ystehede, by the Iddefjorden, about 10 km from the center of Halden. Here, guests have access to a floating jetty with a bathing ladder, as well as a beach consisting of stone and sand. Here there is outdoor furniture, a gas grill and opportunities to moor your own boat. Here there are many hiking trails in the forest and if you have your own boat you can fish or take the sea route to Halden and on to the Hvalerøyene.

Charming little red house in Fengersfors, Dalsland

My summer house here in Sweden is a charming little red "Stuga" in a quiet location in a little village called Fengersfors, about 170 km north of Gothenburg. The house has a large garden. The rooms are all decorated with furniture from the 40s to 70s. Dalsland's most beautiful lake and coolest cultural center are just a stone's throw away. It is a small paradise in the midst of fantastic forests and lakes and close to culture and service.
