Cozy tiny cabin nestled in the mountains with amazing views! The large picture window offers a majestic mountain view all year long. 420 friendly private outdoor courtyard with waterfall & twinkle lights. Access to hot tub. Micro kitchen has fully stocked coffee bar, toaster oven, induction cooktop and mini fridge. Light breakfast snacks provided. The luxurious memory foam pillow top mattress is unbeatable. Artisan locally sourced wildfire stump sink in bathroom. Located 2.4 miles from 285.
We invite you to share our little piece of mountain serenity with us. My family lives in a log cabin right next to our tiny house. The tiny house is located down a set of stairs. Please be prepared to use stairs if you stay with us. The hot tub shares a deck with our house but is yours to use exclusively for the duration of your visit. Guests have a designated parking spot with a painted sign and a private courtyard with a small waterfall feature and outdoor string lights for a relaxing intimate outdoor meal and/or smoking. All smoking (420 included) is allowed outside only. In our snow season, 4 wheel drive vehicle (or other winter ready type of vehicle) is sometimes necessary. (Generally, for our location, it is only necessary during or following winter storms.) Colorado implements "Passenger Vehicle Traction & Chain Laws" during winter storms for Hwy 285, which is the highway necessary to drive on in order to get to the cabin. So it is best to plan ahead and have the required type of vehicle reserved if you plan to visit during the winter months. The laws are put in place for the safety of all drivers on the roads. Please visit the cdot site for details on the requirements by law for passenger vehicles, including rental cars. FYI: recently, the I-70 mountain roads now have an all-time traction law 9 months out of the year, even if there is not a current winter storm in effect. If you plan to drive into the mountains on I-70 at all, you are required to rent a 4wd, all wheel drive vehicle, or 2wd with snow or mud/snow tires. Kitchenette includes: mini fridge (no freezer), small toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, induction cook top with pan/lid/spatula, plates and utensils, bowls, cups/glasses, wine bottle opener, and a cutting board. We also provide cooking oils and salt/pepper. There is a sink in the kitchen as well. Dish soap and a scrub brush are also provided. We include kitchen towels but no paper towels or napkins as we try to be as eco conscious as possible. As with most mountain homes, our tiny cabin does not have forced air conditioning. However, it usually gets quite cool in the evening in the summertime so open windows and the ceiling fan do the job of keeping you cool! (Of course, I can't promise cool evenings; I can just let you know what's typical for our area.) I have a family member with severe pet allergies, so I cannot allow any pets on our property. Because the outdoor space is shared and my home is also used for cleaning linens and other items from the cabin (so, also a "shared" space), we cannot allow ANY pets on our property due to these severe family allergies. There can be no exceptions to this rule as this would be detrimental to the health and safety of my family. Thank you for understanding that there can be absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
Our place is located in a small rustic mountain neighborhood. It was a mining community back in the 1920s. We have some close neighbors, but they keep to themselves. Our neighbors are very particular about everyone driving slow on our dirt roads as they are not county maintained, so please follow the 10 mph speed limit signs. Watch for children at play, wildlife, and ATV/UTV travel on the dirt roads. Things to do nearby: Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a rock structure near Morrison, Colorado, 10 miles west of Denver, where concerts are given in the open-air amphitheatre. Did you know: Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a geological phenomenon - the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world. From high grassy meadows at 8,100 feet to soaring granite cliffs over 10,000 feet, the park's geology, soils, water features, and climate create a rich variety of habitats. We enjoyed a light snowfall in the hot tub and then a beautiful clear sunrise the next morning- we saw the clouds move through the valley through the large windows around the cabin- it felt like a treehouse, truly magical! Anytime I visit this area Bekhs place will be my first thought ♥️

Historic studio cabin in the heart of Grand Lake Village. Two blocks from the lake and Marina. Walking distance to all restaurants and shops. kitchenette, bathroom with shower and cooking essentials as well as a little private back yard with table and chairs! Perfectly located near everything, yet quiet and nestled in a charming courtyard. View all of our listings at https://www.airbnb.com/s?host_id=3433295
The cabin is located right in the heart of the village. There are a total of four small cabins nestled on the lot. The outside area is so charming and the inside of the little cabin is cozy and clean. There is a shower, kitchenette with toaster, range top, coffee & tea, and small refrigerator and plates, silverware, pots/pans and glassware in a studio layout. No microwave or oven. You should have the tools you need to be able to cook a full meal. There is a small private yard in the back of the cabin with a table and chairs for picnicking and lounging in the sun. There is a communal area in the back of the property with a BBQ, fire pit, and hot tub in the back yard. These are old cabins built in 1937. While all the amenities are updated and they're very safe and very clean they are also very rustic (wood walls, small showers, etc.) but the heaters are warm the linens are new and the water is hot! They have tons of charm and we hope you love them as much as we do! If you're looking for a rustic, charming, unique experience then this is your place. Otherwise, the nearest Ramada Inn is 112 miles away. ;)
Grand Lake is Colorado's largest natural lake and the town has great appeal being 2.5 mi from the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. You can walk to many restaurants and shops all from one block away. We are right across the street from the village park/playground. There are covered picnic areas and many of the town events are held here. Grand Lake hosts tons of great events and tons of outdoor recreation! • This cabin is great! The location is super close to town and there’s beauty all around you. We loved the hot tub option, it’s awesome! The heat works great and the shower pressure/temp is perfect. Only “negative” would be the fridge is very small but if you go in the winter like we did, just utilize the snow to chill your items.

The world famous treehouse built in 1971 and sits on 2 acres with cattle creek running under it. Sit by the wood burning stove or look at the stars on the large balcony or hot tub. We do allow pets at a additional $25 per night per pet. Thanks
The Rocky Mountain Treehouse is attached to 4 100ft spruce trees and rest 25 feet off the ground with winding rock staircase leading to the front door. Step inside and see a truly hand built cabin in the sky. Including wood burning stove, fully size kitchen with granite and copper backslash. Enter the bathroom with a rock shower. Then head upstairs to the sleeping loft with 2 large skylights and another private balcony.
The great thing about the Treehouse is when you are there it feels very secluded and private but you are still so close to everything the Rocky Mountains have to offer. 15 min from Glenwood Springs, shopping, restaurant, adventure park, and the largest Hotsprings in the world.
  • This was such an amazing experience! This treehouse is a gem! Can’t wait for my family and I to stay again

  • This is an absolute gem! Perfect place to stay when you want to have no interruptions and just enjoy life! William is an amazing host! We will definitely go back!

    Shi2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse is one of a kind, and truly breathtaking! We stayed 2 nights in February and it was absolutely perfect for us. To say this property is charming is an understatement - the cozy wood stove, rustic charm, string-light covered porch, HOT TUB, and more made our stay so special. We skied several days in Aspen and the drive was not bad at all. The property is in a dead-zone for cell service (fine for us) so we did have to meet the host in town and then follow them ~5 miles to the house, but Bill was SO easy to communicate with and very quick to reply. A trip we will remember for a lifetime!

  • Unbelievably beautiful experience. Unique and unforgettable. Highly recommend. We stayed during one of the coldest nights of the year. Had plenty of firewood to get us through the subzero temperatures.

  • I’m a south Florida local, looking for a little taste of winter. Bryon and Tash’s place was the PERFECT getaway for us. It was in the best location in Grand Lake village. It had access to charming local stores/restaurants as well as short drives to skiing/snowmobiling locations. Bryon and Tash were quick to respond to questions prior to our arrival, and the check in process was seamless. We arrived to the cabin, and all we had to do was type our door code to get in. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had all necessary amenities. Not to mention the hot tub which was a perfect addition. Would recommend this cute little cabin to anyone and everyone—we plan on coming back as soon as possible.

  • Amazing little cabin with an awesome hot tub! Easy check in and out with great communication from hosts.

  • Mary’s space was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in - and Mary was the best host! Everything was so clean and she provided every tiny thing I might have forgotten at home. She gave us several recommendations on food, hiking and breweries and all were incredible. This place is absolutely perfect for 2 people. Any problems we had, Mary was there to fix them within minutes. I highly recommend this place for an intimate getaway!

  • If you are looking for an affordable and comfortable place, definitely consider Byron and Tosh’s cabins. We had cabin #4 for a week and it was an awesome stay. If we had a question, I received a quick response! Their cabins are comfortable and has all of the comforts of home! The water pressure was amazing and the water was quick to get hot. I know it’s a small thing but it is something my family is grateful for. We will definitely be back!!!!

    Gary2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cozy cabin in Grand Lake. We stayed in February. The town was quiet but still had enough places open to make it a very local experience. Tash was always very responsive if we had any questions and checked on us after we arrived to make sure we didn’t need anything. I highly recommend this place!

    Melissa2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely a local gem. First of all, the location of the home in the town of Grand Lake could not be better. You are walking distance to all of the local shops & restaurants, as well as beautiful Grand Lake. The cabin is charming and cozy, with great vintage touches including a clawfoot tub. The entire home is very well stocked with everything anyone could possibly need for their stay. I visited in the winter and Bryon and Tash's place was well equipped to handle the 5-6" of snow we received. Outside is a shared hot tub and fire pit area, which I wish I had taken the time to enjoy, but you have to leave something for next time...right?? I will definitely be back! Definitely stay with Bryon and Tash, you will not be disappointed, they are excellent hosts!

    Tonya2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little place is cozy and relaxing, didn't have time fir the hot tub but it looked pretty awesome! Will sure book here again.

    Kelly2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a two year old and it was perfect! The gas fire place had a gate and there were toys in a closet and sleds we could use out front. There is a park right across the street that would be perfect for kids in the warmer months. We went in the winter time, the town as a whole would be difficult to navigate without a four wheel drive vehicle and most all of the down town stores and eateries were closed. Local trails did have packed down snow making them accessible and wonderful for hiking. There is nothing extravagant about this place, its a normal, rustic mountain cabin, perfect for what we were looking for. Bryon and Tash did a wonderful job with communication. The kitchen was very well stocked and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows.

  • Awesome cabin in a beautiful location! Well appointed and great attention to detail. This was the perfect place to prep and plan for the Leadville 100! Dan is a great host. Very responsive and friendly. Would love to come back.

    Casey2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved everything about Dan’s home. Beautiful location tucked up in the mountains with spectacular views, surrounded by trees. Very peaceful. When we go back to Leadville this is my top pick to stay.

    Jennifer2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderfully unique and beautiful cabin that lives up to every feature described in the listing. Woodworking is outstanding and cabin clearly built with care and artistry. The place was perfect for two old friends to re-connect - quiet, private, nestled in the forest w great views as you make your way down to the main road. The host was very generous and prepared everything beautifully. His directions to the place were great and he appropriately warned us of the need for AWD vehicle, as road up to the cabin is a rough but well-maintained dirt road. We loved our stay and enjoyed the proximity to Twin Lakes and Leadville.

    Susan2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed Dan's cabin. Everything was as described - comfortable, beautiful location, and just plain easy down to the reservations, communication and dog policy. Definitely recommend!

  • This cabin is amazing!!! Super clean, gorgeous location! Great value. Definitely 5+ stars.

    April2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cabin in the woods! We were there in the summer and the cabin is surrounded by aspens and you can hear water off in the distance. It's so peaceful. You can also see the mountains through the trees from the front porch. We had everything we needed. It was just 2 of us, but 4 people would be comfortable with the additional seating/sleeping area. If it's more than 2 and you want to spend some time outside, bring some chairs for everyone. It's so peaceful and relaxing. It was also nice that we were able to "get away" and have peace and quiet but we weren't far from downtown Leadville. We went into town a couple times and loved it. The drive to and from the cabin from downtown has breathtaking views. Dan communicated well and responded to questions quickly. We really enjoyed our get away!

Beautiful off grid tiny home located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. 25 minutes from Vail, 10 minutes from Ski Cooper, 2 mins from the Vail Pass Trail Head, and countless other areas to explore from the property. Despite being off grid, the solar electricity helps to provide all the amenities one needs like TV, internet , and hot water for a shower after a long day in the wild. Come experience Colorado the way it should be seen in all its natural beauty!
This modern tiny home in the Rocky Mountains will give one a genuine Colorado experience in the comforts of a cozy and energy efficient space.
There will be other folks on site in the main house also rented on airbnb, but what makes this home unique is the fact that it sits on 30 acres of land surrounded by national forest. This provides endless hiking in the summers and snowshoeing in the winters.
  • Fantastic place and the hosts are extremely responsive and polite. We had a minor air-conditioning issue and Galen rectified it immediately. The view from this Airbnb is one of the best!

    Kyle2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Galen’s place was the perfect retreat in the mountains! You can’t beat the scenery, the space is cute, and very eco friendly. I made Korean BBQ tacos and bourbon flank steak salad with ease because of the kitchen stocked with essential supplies and plenty of counter space. Warm water when I needed it and the temp of the place stayed reasonable overnight in March. Quick and clear communication with host. Would come back with my dogs again!

    Renan2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Place is exactly described. Beautiful views with amenities that are more than expected for a tiny home. Place is quiet with amazing views. A little off the beaten path which is great. If there is snow in the driveway make sure to have 4wd. Overall 5/5. Would highly recommend!

    Eduardo2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny home living with all the views! You won’t miss anything while being off grid. There are two additional rentals on the property and it felt very private during our stay. Shower was great. It was nice to come home and cuddle up on the couch and watch the sunset over the National Forest while watching a movie. This location does require a bit more driving but the trade off is well worth it.

    Kendra2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you have the chance to stay here 100% do it. The view is incredible and it’s not that far from anything you may need in town. Also inside the tiny home is very cute/clean and the bed is very comfortable!

  • The house was very clean and up to date with any and everything that you would need to feel right at home. You get a nice secluded feel without being too far away from lots of things to do. Jed and Damaris were great hosts and frequently checked in via Airbnb message to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here and hopefully we will get the chance to stay there again soon.

    Chris2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jed and Damaris are the best! This cabin was everything I expected and more. There was a slight issue when it came to our check-in, but the hosts got ahold of support within minutes and got the issue resolved. Couldn’t be happier with our stay. As far as amenities, they have everything you could need covered! (Including a SLED which I totally used.) I will absolutely plan on coming back!

  • This was the perfect getaway cabin in a secluded town! It had privacy and amazing amenities. We were able to relax and hang out in the hot tub! It’s a comfortable and clean spot. The town pf black hawk is not anything impressive, but there are plenty of places you can drive to in order to ski, snowtube and get quality groceries. We would return again!

Fawn Cabin is an authentic mountain cabin that truly says Colorado! Set on 5+ acres with beautiful views and privacy. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the brook rippling thru from the deck, soak in the hot tub, and just relax. Enjoy viewing the deer and other abundant wildlife that are right outside the door. Just 20 minutes from Cripple Creek, 20 minutes from the South Platte river in Eleven Mile Canyon, 10 minutes from Florissant Fossil Beds. Two hours from Denver. One hour from Colo Spgs.
I think the pictures pretty much tell the story. Fawn Cabin is a very beautiful and inviting place where you can relax and unwind in the Colorado Rockies, while still being close enough to all the Pikes Peak area attractions to keep you as busy and entertained as you wish to be. Cripple Creek is only minutes away. Many great hiking trails and trout fishing waters nearby too choose from.
The cabin is situated in Deer Mountain Ranch, a mountain community of homes and cabins on 5 + acre lots. Fawn Cabin has no neighbors on the adjoining lots, and the nearest neighbor is across the road approximately 300-400 yards. The location is very private and peaceful!
  • Beautiful location. Driveway is a bit steep so 4WD or AWD are definitely a good thing to have for snowy or muddy times. Nice and quite, great view of the stars at night!

    Heather2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a cabin that makes you feel at home, this one is it! Cozy and charming. We very much so enjoyed our stay here. The view of the mountains is amazing during the day, and sitting in the hot tub at night gives you a breathtaking view of all of the stars in the night sky also. Wayne was very friendly and quick at responding if we had any questions. Overall, our stay was lovely! We will definitely be back again soon.

  • If you are looking for a quaint getaway in a beautiful area.. look no further! Me and my husband went here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We saw lots of animals and got some R&R. Make sure you have 4WD to get up the 2nd part of the driveway depending on weather. We got a few inches of snow on our visit (which made that powdery driveway a great sled area) and the hot tub was the best part! Wayne is a pleasure to talk to and super accommodating when we needed to book 1 night super last minute. It's a great place to just getaway.

  • Fantastic mountain getaway! Wonderful location for exploring some of Colorado’s best attractions. The wood stove was great, as was the hot tub after a long day of exploring. The accommodations were very nice and the WiFi was a definite plus. Great communication from Wayne, and the check in could not have been easier. Highly recommend staying at the cabin. I am looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Colorado.

Lakeside Amusement Park is open in the Summer providing exciting and inexpensive fun for kids and adults. Dining on Tennyson is wonderful, with great cuisine for any budget.
  • They have Mario kart 8 and lots of movies to choose from! Perfect place to relax and feel like a kid again! Great location as there is a short walk to beautiful Mountain View’s and the perfect place to watch the sunset!

  • WOW! If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Denver - this is it. From entrance, to enjoying the stay, to checking out - everything was perfect. The place was SO clean and nice and it was just such a joy to relax and enjoy! We loved the layout and the fantastic fireplace with movie theatre area. There were SO many great recommendations/info about Denver and the surrounding area that was provided, that we are very thankful for! Jordan came and met us and gave us some great tips as to where to eat, adventure, and more! She is SO nice and was so accommodating and made sure our stay was perfect! Also hot tub and bikes there for use. This place had it all! The bed was large and SO comfy!! Thank you and we look forward to staying again in the future!

    Christine2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Chuck and Jordan were amazing hosts. She came down shortly after we arrived to give us a quick tour and was very friendly.. she was probably the only host who has ever done that for my boyfriend and I while traveling. Amazing deal for one night as we were heading back East from our spring break ski trip. Snacks and drinks were provided which was exceeding expectations. Very detailed instructions and helpful tips on how to use any and everything! We had a blast and played the games provided, utilized the relaxing hot tub, and felt very comfortable.

    Ellie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome hosts and beautifully located

    Camilla2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a great spot! Will keep it in mind for future trips.

    Jane2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were amazing! Views were breathtaking, and the place was immaculate!

    Tulay2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great home, amenities, hospitality and location! We were very please and appreciative :)

    Michelle2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • When we first arrived the code didn’t unlock the door so we called and the host kindly gave us another option of how to get into the house. The host came by as we were leaving and they fixed the door code issue. Once inside the decor was retro and fun. The hot tub and fire place was amazing!! We used the amenities throughout our visit without issues. Enjoyed the home theater the last night and absolutely adored the king sized bed. We slept great both nights! We did here commotion going on upstairs a little bit but it wasn’t bad and not for too long. Sounded like fast walking/running (probably from their young child) We would definitely stay here again, we didn’t want to leave!

The cabin on Hall Rd is in Harris Park Estates in the rural outskirt of Bailey, Colorado. We are 45 mins south of Denver off of Highway 285. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in 1 room & 2 single beds in the other room. The bathroom has a shower/tub. And the kitchen is fully equipped.
This quaint cabin has a deck that overlooks Mount Evans and Mt. Rosalie. There is patio furniture and a propane grill. For the more adventurous there are spectacular hiking trails, such as Tanglewood. Additionally, there is a gorgeous lake within a ten minute walk. Main street Bailey is a 20 minute drive south on 285, where you will find eateries like Rustic Station offering local cuisine. Breckinridge Ski Resort is 1.5 hours and Winter Park Ski a Resort is 2 hours away. There is also rafting in the towns south of Bailey. You won't be disappointed in the tranquility of nature at the cabin on Hall Road! Enjoy!
I love the sunrise over the pine trees. I love the spectacular flight of hummingbirds. I love the living room's huge picture window facing west with snow capped mountains and blue sky. I love the smell of abundant pine trees!
  • I cannot say enough about the cabin! Firstly, the view! Sitting on the mountainside of Mt. Rosalie, you have amazing mountain views and you overlook the community below. The cabin itself is very well decorated with Jocelyns sense of style. My wife and I both were in awe of the view from sitting in the living area. Between the activities in the area and a great place to call home while there, this was the perfect end to our trip. Highly recommended!!

  • If want peace and serenity, stay at this location! Beautiful views and a beautiful home.

    Kyle2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for a couple to get away from everything. Its really cool that she’s allows smoking in the basement, we really enjoyed that. But whatever you do DONT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY when there’s snow on the ground. Its impossible to get out of, without help. Everything else about this home is great and i would stay here again.

    Logan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to enjoy with your family 😊

    Nancy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do it justice, this cabin and the scenery are both beautiful! Waking up and being able to look out your window to the sunrise hitting mountain tops across the valley is amazing. The cabin was clean and comfortable.

    Tommy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Expect an awesome adventure getting there especially if you travel in January!

    Cassie2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was located in a beautiful place on the mountains, great view. Everything in the cabin was great, the only downside was the parking, since it was a little icy it was a bit difficult to get out of the driveway since it's a but steep. But parked on the street after being able to get out! Thanks for everything it was amazing!

    Magdalena2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this cozy cabin with the most amazing view! The amenities were great. Half of our week was just lounging around the cabin watching movies and relaxing. It was great

Soothe your soul in a hot tub above downtown while staring into Rocky Mountain National Park after a long day of hiking (STR#3126)! You'll love my historic cabin, built in the late 1800s but modernized for your comfort. Its cozy 540 square feet provide great views, a full kitchen & bathroom, fireplace, inviting and warm bedroom, and a deck overlooking Lumpy Ridge. + Walk to downtown and the Stanley Hotel + 8 minute drive to the park A perfect base for up to 4 people for a mountain getaway!
NOTE: You must input dates and guest count before the platform calculates an accurate price for your visit. My cabin rests on a hillside above downtown in a small neighborhood of other historic cabins. This was one of the original neighborhoods when people first settled in the Estes Valley. The place predates most other buildings in the area, but it's been lovingly cared for and is in great shape. I love being able to walk to town from here, but still come home afterward and sit in the hot tub. Afterwards, I enjoy lounging on the sofa and just relaxing in front of the fireplace. There are other cabins close by, so if you are looking for total seclusion this isn't your best bet -- but there aren't many vacation rentals out there offering the great combination of views, a hot tub, fireplace, deck, full kitchen, and the ability to walk to town. ⛰️ BEDROOMS ⛰️ My home offers 1 bedroom, plus sleeping for two more on two Ikea ottomans that convert to single beds. Bedroom 1 - A comfortable mattress will ensure a good night sleep after a long day of hiking. It's a cozy space with wood paneled walls throughout, and north facing windows so you can watch the sun light up Lumpy Ridge as you wake up. ⛰️ LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT ⛰️ Living Room - There's a spacious dining room table and a comfy couch to lounge in while you stream your favorite Netflix series on the speedy WiFi. Feel free to fire up the fireplace -- it's electric but offers a great ambiance as the flames flicker on the cozy wood walls. Deck & Hot Tub - We have a small deck with a grill off the front door overlooking Lumpy Ridge, a perfect spot for BBQ.. Our hot tub fits two comfortably but you could squeeze more in if necessary. It has a small fence around it for privacy from our neighors' cabins, but the northern side is open so you can watch the mountains. ⛰️ LAUNDRY & COOKING ⛰️ Kitchen - The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, small appliances, fridge, freezer, full size oven and stove, microwave, drop coffee maker, toaster, and more. You may not actually use it that much because you can walk to all the great restaurants in downtown! Laundry - We do offer a full size washer and dryer for you to use!
My cabin is located in a neighborhood of other historic cabins on a hillside just above downtown Estes Park. You can literally walk everywhere in town -- to the Stanley Hotel, Ed's Cantina, local coffee shops and restaurants, etc. Because it's on a hill, you have a great view of Lumpy Ridge to the north from the deck and hot tub.
  • Really clean home! Very close to everything and about a 10 minute drive from the Rocky Mountain National park

    Gustavo2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing cabin. This was our first trip to Colorado and after a few days in Denver we wanted to have a couple nights to ourselves. There is plenty of room to spread out but it is still so cozy. Everything was spotless! And such a short ride into Rocky Mountain National Park. It was convenient to the restaurants (Seasoned! OMG so good!), shopping, grocery store. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.

    Sara2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Expect to stay in a nice, small, super cozy and super clean cabin in the beautiful Estes Park. The cabin is everything you will need for a weekend getaway.

  • Nancy’s cabin in Estes was exactly what we were hoping for. In a great location within walking distance to Downtown Estes.

    Andy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place was incredible. The cabin is so cute and cozy with amazing views and very close downtown. She had lots of recommendations for us. Highly recommend anyone to stay at this gem. Hopefully we can make it back in the future!

    Megan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space that was perfect for a romantic weekend for two. Located in the middle of Estes Park but still offered lots of privacy. Hot tub was clean and ready to go when we arrived! We'd love to visit again.

    Christopher2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a super cute and cozy cabin, great for a weekend getaway! My partner and I stayed here while we eloped in Estes Park, and it was the perfect choice: very clean, lots of windows and a mountain view from the bedroom, nice private hot tub, and in a great location that’s close to both town and the park entrance. We had a little trouble driving up the main road (it’s kind of steep and was icy in February) but the cabin driveway itself was well maintained and all the walkways had been cleared. We didn’t see any wildlife during our stay, but there were hoof prints (probably deer) in the yard — so you very well could. We would definitely recommend this cabin to a couple or small group/family!

This super cool condo is in the heart of it all. It's a perfect home base for everything Breck has to offer. Cross the street to the lift and afterwards: cozy up by the wood fire, jump in the hot tub, or have a margarita in the restaurant downstairs!
THE UNIT: Our 390 Square foot condo is finished in a hip, mountain-contemporary style and has everything you'll need. It the perfect size for a couple or small family and includes: - King bed - Full size pull-out couch (it's pretty uncomfortable to be honest) - Eating bar - Full-size stainless-steel kitchen - Slate bathroom with shower - Wood-burning fireplace - Small balcony (sadly, no big mountain views, unit faces another building) - Wood and slate floors -Apple TV, wireless internet, cable TV BUILDING: Der Steiermark is a small, older building. It has no front desk and, frankly, the common areas lack style. Although it isn't a big fancy hotel, there are decent amenities: - Outdoor hot tub (at the base of an outdoor courtyard) - Heated, locked underground parking (one space only) - Elevator access - Best Mexican Restaurant/Bar in town: Mi Casa - A full-service ski/board/bike shop - Free wood for fireplace - Coin-operated laundry down the hall.
The condo is located a short walk to the Quicksilver Ski Lift at Peak 9, summer hiking trails, and Breckenridge's shopping and dining on Main Street. It is in the Der Steiermark building, above a great Mexican restaurant and ski shop.
  • This studio was the PERFECT place for our ski trip. Literally steps away from the lifts And all the restaurants/shops in downtown Breck. With a full kitchen, we were able to cook bomb breakfasts before hitting the slopes and make snacks for a cozy night by the fire...It had everything we needed and more. Thank you Jack and Jerrod!!!

  • Incredible location! Right across the street from the lifts and a 2 minute walk to the main drag in town. If you’re visiting Breckenridge, you can’t ask for a better spot. There’s also a ski rental place at the base of the building which was incredibly convenient.

    Kevin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time at this condo! The location could not be more perfect. We were able to walk everywhere which was super convenient since parking can be crazy on main. The condo was very nice and cozy and met all of our needs.

Take a break from the world and enjoy 3.5 wooded acres at 9,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains. This home is designed and inspired by hygge (hu-geh), a Danish word and lifestyle that evokes the feeling of coziness, well-being, and simple pleasures. An outdoor steam sauna, 2 decks, and amazing views await you. Get cozy, explore, play games, hammock, read, take day trips, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Refocus, rejuvenate, and relax in this intentionally curated space...
Follow on Instagram and tag your stay @hyggechalet_co The Hygge Chalet is located in the rural Rocky Mountains of Colorado, It is only 1 hour from downtown Denver and 1 hour to multiple ski resorts. There is an abundance of outdoor activities nearby that make perfect for day trips in the mountains. Upon booking, a personalized website detailing all the things to do and see will be provided. The home is a 1970's A-Frame, inspired by Scandinavia. It has a modern and clean design with a cottage vibe. Living Essentials: The home is 1400 square feet with an open floor plan. There is a full kitchen with granite counters, high-quality cookware, and all dining essentials. Basics such as, cooking oil, salt and pepper, a few spices, condiments, etc. are provided. A fair-trade and organic hot drink bar with Chemex coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is also yours to indulge in. The home is stocked with good reads, lots of board games, an iPad for movies, music, and information, a Bluetooth speaker loud enough to fill the home, a gas fireplace for ambiance, and a drawer of candles, incense, and oils to help create your own hygge vibes. All high-quality linens, towels, robes, and slippers are freshly-washed. Bed & Bath: Both the loft and bedroom have super comfortable memory foam queen beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub) and many toiletries and extras you might need. Sauna: The barrel steam sauna truly sets this place apart from all the rest. It's easy to use and allows you to sauna bathe in the traditional Finnish way by pouring water onto heated rocks to create steam. Most nights in the Rockies are clear enough to see the Milky Way and star-gazing is exceptional here, especially when taking a cool-down break from the sauna. Outdoor Living: The 3.5 acres of land is mostly wooded and backs up to National Forest. There are 2 decks and a porch area with stunning views, cafe lights, a picnic table, a gas grill for cooking out (seasonal), and plenty of hammocks (also seasonal) and Adirondack chairs to keep you content. Behind the home is a street art-inspired mural with an Aspen and Mandala scene created by a local Denver artist. Please Note: While the home is very private and at the top of the hill, it is in a neighborhood and has proximity with the main road. Depending on the weather and traffic (especially holiday weekends), the sounds from the road vary. If you're expecting absolute silence and seclusion, this might not be the place for you. In winter, this proximity to highway is appreciated by guests because of the snow. Like most mountain homes in the area, there are a few neighbors nearby. This lowers the environmental impact of development, but also means you'll see a few other homes on your way up. While the home sits at the top of a hill and is surrounded by trees, private does not mean secluded. The closest neighbors are Nicki and Damon. They are very friendly and hospitable. Nicki is the cleaner/assistant for the chalet and Damon does general maintenance along with snow plowing... so feel free to wave or say "Hi!" if you see them! They're great to have nearby if an urgent need should arise.
Upon booking, you will be provided with a website I've created that is filled with day-trip itineraries, lots of information on places to visit, things to do and see, places to hike/snowshoe, and places to eat and drink. It also includes an interactive map with categories and distances from the chalet to help you plan your trip! I am passionate about Colorado and dedicated to making your visit one for the books! The chalet is located just off of 285, which is a plowed, well-maintained highway to get you safely and easily exploring. The home is right next to Guanella Pass, which provides an incredible mountain drive of spectacular views, other-worldy landscapes at 12,000 feet, big horn sheep, winding streams, waterfalls, and lots of hiking. The pass takes you to the cutest mountain town, Georgetown and other neat places along the i-70 corridor. This is also one of the most sought-after locations for aspen leaf peeping in fall. The pass is closed in winter (late-Nov to late-May) but there is still plenty to do in winter and Georgetown/i-70 is accessible through Evergreen all year. Going over Kenosha Pass takes you to South Park (yes, the town from the TV show), Buena Vista, Salida, etc. which is an area loaded with things to do and see all year round, including 2 exceptional hot springs! The cabin is close to stunning hikes of various difficulties, world-class fishing, adventure activities (zip-line, whitewater, etc.), cultural and historical activities (ghost towns, mining for gold, dinosaur fossils, etc.), surreal leaf peeping in the fall, horseback riding, ATV, train rides, sleigh rides, snowshoeing/snowmobiling in winter, cute mountain towns to explore, and so many fantastic local breweries, distilleries, and restaurants. The are a couple cafes nearby where you can experience true mountain friendliness. The closest and the best (just down the hill) is the Shaggy Sheep. Make sure to stop in and say "Hi!" to Sarah and Chris. Red Rocks Amphitheater is just 40 minutes away. This is considered one of the best places in the world to see a concert and doing so should be on anyone's bucket list. Check the website for the schedule. Even if you can't make a show, the park is on the way to/from Denver and well-worth a visit. The closest ski resort is Breckenridge at just an hour's drive (and a beautiful one) and is a perfect day trip to ski/snowboard or just hang around in a beautiful ski town (there is a lot to do and see here no matter the time of year). Vail is 2 hours away and there are a handful of others just 1.5 hours away. There are plenty of mountain activities to fill your days with during ALL of Colorado's incredible 4 seasons! Each season provides a different experience, but no matter what time of year you comes, no matter which direction you go, and no matter what you decide to do, the drives will be beautiful and there will plenty to keep you occupied and content.
  • This was a magnificent getaway. An easy drive from Denver, and yet you feel totally secluded. The Sauna was the best amenity, so, so lovely! Plus, the small touches of the chemex coffee maker, the snacks, sparkling water, and extra toothbrushes and toothpaste made us feel so comfortable. I also loved the sustainability that is at the forefront of this place...natural bath products, seventh generation toilet paper, reusable mugs, recycling is a must, and organic and fair trade food items. Every detial is thought of in this place! We will return again soon!

  • Truly a beautiful space. Amazing sunrise and sunsets cast across the mountains. The big bright moon shining into your bedroom window (if you choose to leave the curtains open). The perfect getaway spot. Will return for sure!

  • This place was the definition of serenity. It’s cozy and elegant and me and my girlfriend couldn’t have had a better experience here. The views are amazing and the decor throughout the house is delightful. There is plenty of things to do around the area. If you want a private exclusion in the mountains with wonderful amenities this is the place for you.

    Blake2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The hygge chalet exceeded our expectations! The home is warm and cozy with thoughtful touches as soon as you walk in the door. Very private and Serene. With it being so private make sure you load up on grocery’s before you get there the nearest store is 30-40 minutes away! Just be prepared and you will have a lovely time. I throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again when we are in the area! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

    Crystal2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Hygge Chalet is outstanding! Everything we wanted and more in a weekend getaway in the mountains. The pictures, although accurate, don’t do it enough justice. The chalet is an ultra cozy, sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed home. I thought twice about leaving such a glowing review for fear it would be booked so often we’d never be able to get back there again. But....everyone should have a chance to experience such a jewel. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Tanya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is WONDERFUL! Highly suggest staying here. I had no issues whatsoever. Great location, super clean, and very stylish. Plenty of room and Amenities. Loved my stay!

  • If you are looking for a unique and cozy get away in the mountains, this is your place! I’m this busy world there isn’t a lot of time away from electronics. But here we spent time playing games listening to music and laughing! The perfect location! Gorgeous drive to Breckenridge and other ski slopes or you can be in Denver in less than 2 hrs. The place was easy to get to with a 4 whee drive. Very spotless and had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend

  • I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this review here. Julie has created an incredibly special place in the mountains and I would 100% recommend it for anyone looking to get away at any time of year. The Hygge chalet is better than it is in pictures. Every single detail has been thoughtfully considered and selected--down to chemex and delicious coffee and snacks, to the Scandinavian furnishings, bedding, sauna, and bathroom extras. This is one of those moments where the pictures don't do justice to the place. We stayed here with friends visiting from out of town and the whole weekend, we were surprised and delighted discovering one detail after another. Julie's list of activities was also perfect. We are new to CO and don't know the area that well, but we had a magical weekend driving through the mountains and snowmobiling in Breckenridge, per Julie's suggestions (about 1 hour drive away). On a personal note, I lived in Denmark a few years ago and Julie has truly captured and essence and joy of "hygge" in that she created a beautiful space of rest, relaxation, with little notes of luxury that are appropriate for the mountains and a weekend away. We all felt in awe of nature, quiet, and the joy of good friendship after this short weekend. And finally on a side note, Julie was an amazing host. I had a number of questions, changes, and reservation issues with Airbnb and she addressed them immediately and was very concerned with us having a great weekend. (Airbnb also did eventually address the issues.) We will definitely be back!

You'll love our cozy 1940's era bungalow in Southeast Denver. Your space is an entire floor with a private entrance, one bedroom, a relaxing separate living room, and luxurious bathroom. We have easy access to public transportation, bike trails, and cute local restaurants and shops. We can't wait to share our favorite city with you!
Your space is the entire basement floor of our home, and is separate from our living area upstairs. Since this is our primary residence, you'll probably be able to hear us moving about upstairs, but we do our best not to be overly noisy. You'll have your own bedroom with a very comfy queen bed, living room, and bathroom for your stay; and while there isn't a full kitchen, we have provided a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and hot plate. There is also a fan and space heater for you to use. The space has a Roku tv that you can use to sign in to a variety of streaming services if you subscribe to them (Netflix, Hulu, etc). There are also several channel apps that you can access using your cable or satellite subscription. We do not provide cable or our personal logins for any of the services. We are pot friendly, but would ask that you smoke outdoors.
Our neighborhood is relatively quiet, but very close to some cute stretches of shops and restaurants. We are within a few miles of Old South Gaylord Street, Old South Pearl Street, and the lovely Washington Park. There is always plenty of street parking on our street, we only ask that you make sure not to block any of our neighbors' driveways. Since we live in a city, you also should pay attention to the street sweeping signs. The first week of the month during the months of April through November, the city does street sweeping in our neighborhood. If your stay coincides with one of these weeks, you could receive a ticket for parking on a street that has street sweeping on that day. Our street has street sweeping on the first Wednesday (on our side of the street) and first Tuesday (on the opposite side of the street) of the month. Please note that there will be some construction happening next door starting in October/November 2017 and continuing through the following year. They will only be doing work in the daytime, and we do not expect noise to be much of an issue since the space is garden level. You may find that you may not be able to park directly in front of the house, but there should still be ample parking on our block.

  • Such a cute and charming place. It was everything I needed for my stay. I was in Denver for a conference and didn’t want to stay at the same hotel as the conference because all the hustle and bustle gets to be excessive. This Tiny House was a decent walk from the conference but well worth all of the steps. Although it is right in between two lively bars, there is still a sense of privacy. The front patio is fenced in so it’s an added sense of security when there are people out enjoying the night life. Also, it’s quite unassuming, sort of tucked underneath a staircase so you’re not on full display as you check in and check out. The inside is very cozy and modern as well. Would definitely stay again in the future. Communication was easy, codes were provided well in advance and it was a smooth check in/out process.

    Andres2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

Relax & reconnect with nature in our off-grid, 100% solar & wind powered A-Frame cabin set 8,400' high in the beautiful Wet Mountains! Enjoy awe-inspiring views of the night sky, dramatic sunrises/sunsets, & the quiet stillness of nature. Retreat in the uniqueness of a classic A-Frame cabin that includes a loft with queen sized bed, full bath w/ claw foot tub, full kitchen, & large deck for stargazing/yoga/chill time. Unplug from life's craziness, relax & enjoy it! We're 420 friendly :)
*If you're looking for a one night rental that's between two booked nights, send us a message for consideration. :) Our off-grid A-Frame cabin, The Red A Chalet, gives you the opportunity to experience awe-inspiring views of the Milky Way, constellations, innumerable stars, and full moons so bright you can read a book under its light. If you cannot recall the last time you saw unpolluted skies, be prepared to be overwhelmed. Our local community is one of only a few, certified Dark Skies locales (& the highest) in the world. In the nearest town of Westcliffe you can schedule a private evening at the Smokey Jack Observatory for even more dramatic stargazing. In addition to experiencing the wonders of the night sky, you will relax and hear the sounds of nature as not possible in a city. Wake up to bright blue skies and birds singing songs to help the sun wake up. You may even be lucky enough to see one of our local eagles, falcons, or hawks circling the skies (we provide binoculars for use during your stay). Or you might see our local mule deer herd, which can be as large as 40, eating grass right outside the cabin. You can also walk to the front of our 10 acre property for beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Our vision is to have an experience that integrates the simplicity of our nature surroundings with low impact living. The property is a continual work in progress converting a former animal ranch to a sustainable vacation rental. Therefore, you may see ongoing projects (paused for your stay) on the property, such as the building of a new bathhouse and sauna, or other home renovations. Simply note that the pictures you see in our listing are the most updated photos of our progress. As the A-Frame is powered by 100% renewable energy via solar panels and a wind turbine, all electricity is available per the power generated by the sun on any given day and/or as the wind decides to blow. While we have a relatively large solar array & battery system, the amount of electricity can range from essentially unlimited during high sun periods, to a small trickle or even none on very cloudy or stormy days. We obtain running water from our well, which is also powered by solar, as is our water heater. We have a secondary vintage hand pump well (good for workouts and relating to your grandparents) :) for any instance in which water is required and none is available in the house. You can view your stay here as a traditional cabin that has the added luxuries of modern living when the Sun decides it to be the case. ;) Please be sure to be prepared for adverse weather and limited/no power as a worst case scenario. Your stay will be an experience in living in accordance with nature and this can be a challenge to some, especially if there is an expectation of unlimited power and on-grid climate control settings. Also, please note that power availability into the night via battery power is much more limited during the Winter when the sun sets ~4:20 vs as late as ~9pm in the Summer, ie shorter days mean there is less time for the sun to charge the batteries. If you have any questions about a potential stay, please do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will be more than happy to assist! :) The cabin is comprised of a full bath, kitchen, living room, bedroom loft, and an extra large deck for stargazing, meditating/yoga, eating outside, and just general chilling. The bathroom has just been renovated and consists of a refinished antique claw foot bathtub with shower handle, new low flow Toto toilet with heated seat, and new Duravit sink. The kitchen is next to be remodeled and currently contains an ultra high-efficiency Blomberg frig with freezer, a small energy efficient Wolfgang Puck countertop oven, two burner electric stovetop (primarily for use during sunlight hours), Mr. Coffee espresso machine, french press, Berkey water filter, and kitchen sink. We also have an all-in-one LG washer/dryer for clothes cleaning. Outside, we have a Weber charcoal grill for use except for periods of county wide burn bans. And for backup purposes, we have a two-burner propane camping stove when electricity is not available for cooking. The living room has a wood burning stove, which is the primary heat source for the cabin and will be invaluable on cold days and nights (so will extra warm clothes and blankets). You can also do simple cooking/warming up of food with our iron skillets on top of the wood stove itself. We will provide you with wood during your stay to help keep you cozy. We also have a Gas Buddy indoor portable propane heater that uses 1lb propane tanks. There is also a full size convertible sleeper sofa with soft linens and two extra pillows, and a 46" energy efficient LED LCD tv with standard and mini-hdmi cables for connecting devices. You can also stream directly from your device using our Chromecast device. You can also listen to our vast collection of vinyl on our record player. While we do have wireless DSL internet, it is very slow (1.5mb/s) and can be unpredictable in its uptime. We usually can watch lower quality YouTube and Netflix videos and listen to streaming audio with no problem. Also, there is no reliable cell service at the A-Frame; however, you can obtain cell service with most providers in the town of Westcliffe (~25min drive), including free public wifi on Main St. The bedroom is accessed by a narrow staircase, originally from a boat's cabin. The loft bedroom has a queen sized Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress for relaxing into a quiet night's sleep.
Our closest neighbor is about 300 yards away and has been the best thing that has happened to us since moving out to the mountains. He, like many other people out here have yards full of equipments, storage, back-hoes, etc... We live in a relatively rugged area where you have to connect and rely on each other as a small community. For instance, we work with our neighbor to have 100% free-range, organic, ranch eggs, which we will provide you with during your stay, depending on availability from the hens. For hiking/walking, you can walk the local dirt roads, which seem more like wide trails since cars are so infrequent. You can also hike ~1hr to the top of the mountain right across the street from us, via a neighbor's vacant property, and see one of the most majestic 360 degree mountain views in Colorado, including a number of the highest peaks in the state. Additionally, there are large number public hiking trails, most of which are on National Forrest land, within a 20-45min drive.
  • If it's been a while since you've been able to see the stars, I highly recommend spending an hour outside looking at the starscape that's right out from the cabin's porch. It's a true nature experience, with the luxury of a lovely, cozy wood stove and a wonderfully decorated cabin.

  • What and unforgettable experience. I differently recommend staying at the Red A-Frame! Host are the sweetest and understanding people. If you're looking for a start to get a feel of staying in the mountains (coming from Florida lol) this is differently the place to begin! Even just as a sweet get away. The views from the Cabin are breathe taking. All of the recommendations the host provided, I give all of them 5 stars!

Located on 30 acres of private land surrounded by national forest in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, this tiny home is perfectly situated within 30 minutes of the luxury ski resort Vail, CO, and the historic mining town Leadville, CO. This is the best location to see all of what Colorado has to offer. Since this is a new listing, you can verify reviews for this location and host by looking at the other "Snow Cross" airbnb listings near the town of Red Cliff.
This modern tiny home has two lofts, one with a king bed and another with a full bed. The king bed is accessed by a normal rise and run staircase, the full bed is accessed by a wooden ladder. On the main level, there is a kitchen with a smaller sized oven and 3 burner stove top, tall apartment sized fridge/freezer, living room with a fold down couch/futon that can be closed off into it's own room, and quaint dining table with incredible views over the surrounding area. The views from this specific home through the many windows are truly incredible.
This is the only parcel of land in this area surrounded by national forest land. There are 2 other airbnb rentals on the parcel, but the way this home sits up high you will have a very private, secluded, environment for your getaway. There is about a 150 yard walk up a hill and you must park at the bottom of this hill (check out the photos for a picture of this), so do keep that in mind when booking. Technically there is a road right up the tiny home, that's how we got it up there, but it is tight and narrow so I don't feel comfortable allowing cars up this narrow road.
  • Perfect place for a romantic getaway or for relaxing and recharging. Tiny home had everything we needed and then some. Galen is awesome with communicating. We actually had the opportunity to meet him and just as nice in person. Thanks to previous reviews we knew to have 4 wheel drive. Perfect location to make day trips to Leadville, Minturn and Vail. Can't say enough positives about our stay. Make your reservation now!

    Brad2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny home was everything I never knew I needed. The views were phenomenal from every window. The best part of each morning was opening the blinds in bed to watch the sun come up from behind the mountains. Even with snow on the ground, walking up to the house was no problem at all. We drove to Leadville for groceries and gas. Highly recommend 'Colorado Backcountry Rentals' for an unguided snowmobile tour. What an experience to be secluded high in the mountains and surrounded by nature's beauty with a loved one. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back here soon!

***LOW RATE FOR SITE CONSTRUCTION!! for January -March/early April !! (Weekdays only, 8-4)**Perfect central location for Colorado Springs exploring! Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing, then walk, ride or take a short drive to the best restaurants, hikes, event spaces and fun The Springs has to offer. Our modern, sunny guest house, is in the historic, eclectic Old Colorado City/Westside neighborhood and shares the yard with our home that was built in the 1890's.
**The main house, NOT the guest house, will be under construction so we can have more room for our Foster Kiddos! But the expected noise, and mess is why we are offering lower rates. Please contact us with questions!! Weekday work only*** Welcome to our Fat Squirrel Guest House! This hideaway feels nestled in the trees, with a wonderful large deck for your private use, that you can easily see Pikes Peak (although during the summer, those trees may obscure the view!). Easy off street parking via the alley. The property is shared with our home in the front, and a separate, private, guest space on the ground level beneath you. This property is a great place to feel like you’re part of our Colorado community, in the oldest neighborhood in Colorado Springs. The kitchen has all the basics for your home on the road: Gas stove, microwave, full fridge, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle, blender and hopefully any cooking instrument you need. There will be a few condiments and spices available- and some items left by previous guests. If you don't see it, send us a text and we’ll most likely have what you need from the main house. There is coffee and tea to help make mornings a little easier. Towels and linens will be exchanged when you stay more than 5 days. If you need to do a load of laundry we can make arrangements for you to do so in the main house. The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, and the daybed/ couch in the main room has everything you need to turn into a twin bed. A smart TV is logged on to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu (with the HBO channel) ready to go, and a Bluray for watching videos. *Happy Bonus: We just remodeled the bathroom! Because Colorado has pretty mild, non-humid, weather, there is not a central air conditioner for this space. But, there is a strong, new, AC window unit in the bedroom (We love a cold room when I sleep too!!), that is installed during the summer months. Be like a local and open the French doors to the deck and enjoy the evening air. Please feel free to ask questions! We’re happy to work with you for special requests. ***THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY*** (Seriously) (Please) (Thank you!)
I love my neighborhood. It's old. It's eclectic. It's full of great people with interesting stories. One house will be a perfectly restored Victorian, the next home needs TLC and has seen better days. On lovely afternoons, folks will be out on their porch or in their yards, happy to chat with people walking their dogs or on their way to dinner and a beer. Like anywhere, be sure to lock your car and not leave valuables visible. If you need, we can arrange to store larger items in the shed. Hopefully you'll love this quirky part of The Springs as much as I do.
  • I had a wonderful stay at the Fat Squirrel guesthouse. Everything was described accurately on the listing. Great hosts and location!

  • Thanks for letting me stay! It's one of the best Airbnbs I've been to. Lots of light on the upper floor with big windows, comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen and coffee supplies. And they were very understanding when I had to make a last-minute change in schedule.

  • A true hideaway in a great location. Definitely appreciated all the amenities that was available and the privacy during my stay. Loved the aesthetic, design, and small touches. Would absolutely love to come back for a longer stay.

  • This place is a charming, comfortable oasis. The apartment is stylish and spotless, the amenities are wonderful, the bed is super comfortable, and the parking is a breeze. We will definitely be back!

  • Mary’s place was perfect. Super clean, quiet, and perfect location for easy access to downtown Colorado Springs. Their place had all the comforts of home and that was very much appreciated. I would recommend this place to anyone and I’ll be back!

One of Estes Park’s most popular vacation rentals, for good reason! This modern studio offers a private deck & great views in a quiet mountain neighborhood near Rocky Mountain National Park (Permit 3281). You will likely encounter herds of elk & deer, and are welcome to enjoy the starry night in the hot tub. A cozy, private space with its own entrance, a luxurious queen bed, sofa bed, & kitchenette. Conveniently located 1/4 mile from Marys Lake, and 4 miles from downtown & the national park
THE TOWN HAS SHUT DOWN SHORT TERM LODGING UNTIL 4/17! You can only rent now for 30+ days (so we have 1, 2 and 3BR units available for monthly stays at reduced rates), and now to those exempted: you work here (ie, travel nurses/healthcare); you are under quarantine with a note from county public health; you have symptoms; or you can demonstrate good cause to stay. Please inquire if you meet the requirements. NOTE: You must input dates and guest count before the platform calculates an accurate price for your visit. This is a gorgeous, modern studio apartment in my home's walkout basement, with amazing views of the Rocky Mountains. As you can see in the photos, there is a front living area and a rear bedroom area, but no door separating them. I am a photographer by profession and have decorated the walls with my favorite images of the area. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! Past reviews have raved about this property: "... the best I've stayed at." "... a surreal environment with beautiful artwork and clean cut simplicity in design" "... a must stay if you are in the area." "... tons of wildlife right out the back door." "... pictures can’t truly describe the view from the deck." "... an incredible value for all it gives. Amazing location and view!" Note that some months of the year I live upstairs, and other months I am gone. When booking, assume I'll be here -- but also understand you'll have your own private studio, kitchenette, bathroom, deck and entrance as shown in the photos. You probably won't see me unless you need me, and I give guests privacy. I figure that's why you're here in the mountains in the first place! Rest is so important after a day hiking around Rocky Mountain National Park! Sleep soundly on a Serta queen mattress and a super comfortable 3-inch memory foam topper. The bed is the third most loved aspect of my unit, aside from the view and hot tub. The front living area has a futon sofa that can be converted to a full size bed, so the unit can accommodate 3 or 4 people. There is an extra per person fee for more than 2 people. There is little better in life than sitting in this cozy space (or on the deck!) after a great day in Rocky Mountain National Park, and watching deer and elk graze nearby. If you're lucky you'll spot the neighborhood bobcat, badger, or raccoon family. This rental is situated a fantastic rural neighborhood on the slopes of Prospect Mountain. The house has unobstructed views because of its elevation. Due to the topography, the house is very isolated and private -- you can't see neighbors and they can't see you. Recurring comments from guests include the great views, the privacy, the deck, the hot tub, the uncluttered and open space, and the fact that you can watch the sun rise over the mountains from bed if you're so inclined. You'll be well equipped to do your own cooking while you visit: the kitchenette features a fridge and freezer, a two burner cooktop, toaster, stainless steel pots/pans, dishes and cutlery, water boiler, and more. Please see the photos for more details. There is no oven. The deck is perfect for lounging and enjoying the view and relaxing. It features two big chaise lounges. The deck's railing has a thick piece of wood on top, and guests often use that as a table top and sit on bar stools and watch the sunset and eat dinner. This unit does not feature a television, but there is speedy WiFi if you want to stream Netflix to your computer or tablet. If you want to fish, Marys Lake is 1/4 mile away. There's even a beach for sunbathing. If you like rock climbing, there are boulders from V0 to V10, trad routes from 5.5 to 5.12, and sport routes from 5.7 to 5.13 on Prospect Mountain, all of which are 15-20 minutes by foot from the front door. There's also a great hiking trail that goes to the top of Prospect Mountain (the trailhead is 5 minutes by foot from the house), and once there you'll have one of the best views of Estes Park around, with a full panorama of the Continental Divide and Estes Valley. The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is about 7 minutes via car. As you can see in the photos, you do need to walk down several flights of steps to get to the unit. Be prepared for this! Overall, this studio is a great base for outdoor lovers who want peace and quiet and want to experience all the wonders of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains.
This is a wonderful neighborhood in one of the more rural parts of Estes Park. We are only a few miles from downtown, but things are quiet here! The home is nestled in a huge ravine on the slope of Prospect Mountain, so you can't see the neighbors homes. It feels pretty secluded. You can actually hike out the front door and in about 45 minutes be at the top of Prospect Mountain, which has one of the most incredible views in all of Estes Park! You can see the entire national park and the continental divide in a giant panorama. The home is also about a quarter of a mile from Marys Lake, where you can fish. I love this area and am grateful to live here. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR. Local bears have been known to get a little curious.
  • What an amazing place with the host to compliment. Nathan was great!

  • The perfect place for a mountain getaway. The views from the apartment are amazing, the place was super clean, and the location was great! Highly recommend, and look forward to using Nathan’s place again for future trips.

    Gabrielle2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful home is the perfect place to relax after busy days in the hustle and bustle of Estes Park and RMNP. The sunrise views are definitely worth waking up early for! We loved the location - only a short drive to town but still far enough away to escape some of the hubbub that comes with a town bordering a wildly popular National Park. Nathan offered great communication throughout the entire process and even checked in with us after our first night to ensure everything was up to our expectations. My boyfriend and I got engaged in RMNP during this trip, so Estes Park will always hold a special place in our hearts and we hope to make it back someday soon!

    Hannah2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We did some hiking in the area, cooked a nice meal for the two of us, and we saw an amazing sunrise without even leaving the bed. There's some amazing photography on display, some great books, and a the views off the deck were beautiful!! Note the check out time... 9am was a bit earlier than we're used to, but we were up with the sunrise, so it wasn't a big deal.

    Hannah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My best friend and I came into town for a wedding, Kerri's guest house had great reviews, a fair price and convenient drive to local and market stores. The sunrise in the living area was breathtaking and the cityscape at night was sparkling. A lovely hideaway that gave a touch of the mountain life without leaving the city. Rooms were amazingly done and super clean. Both of us would highly recommend!

  • Tony's place is close to all things Vail. The hotel check-in was thorough and the location includes a ton of amenities I wish we would have had a chance to use. It's so close to all the fun in Vail and the little back porch was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

  • Great place, great price!

    Evan2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at this perfectly clean and very well maintained property! It's like having the best of both worlds, the savings and convenience of Air BNB combined with the ease and familiarity of staying at a resort.

    John2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tony’s place was at a Marriott vacation club, so there was concierge service, hot tubs, etc. The bed is in the living room- you pull it out of the wall, but it was comfortable. The fireplace also works wonderfully and heats up quickly. I like how the kitchen had all the necessary equipment to cook or bake. Toiletries were also included. It was a great price for a convenience stay in Vail!
