Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Russell

Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Amy's place was even nicer than the pictures! Our family of 5 loved staying in this peaceful beach community surrounded by beautiful views everywhere we turned. Cherrie was great at welcoming us and even connected us with a local kiwi expert that took us out to see kiwis in the wild, a one of a kind experience we will never forget! Our kids loved playing out on the beach and our youngest loved the toys in the kids room downstairs. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

Lovely spacious and modern house with a beautiful view from the lounge. House was close to town centre. Bathrooms were modern and water had good pressure. Kitchen was functional with plenty appliances and amenities. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will return when back in Russell.

Had the most amazing stay here! Would highly recommend for someone looking to get off grid and have a peaceful time away! Not far from Russell town too which is just ideal, also Jack’s beach is a short walk away which feels just perfect! The sunset was also incredible! Could not recommend more! We had the perfect time!

Shelley & Graham were amazing hosts, incredibly welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. They made our stay in Paihia feel like home away from home, and the guest suite was more than we could have expected ! We will definitely be staying there next time we are in town !

Jenny is an Amazing Host ,very friendly very easy to engage with ,she made us feel like her house was ours, We arrived an hour before check in , but she allowed us in,the apartment was in spotless condition with excellent views and easy walk into town also had everything inside we needed ,we all felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend Jenny's apartment to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Paihia for a Bay of Islands Escape.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

We stayed at Roy’s Bayview Apartment for two nights during our Bay of Islands trip, and honestly - it was perfect. The property is beautifully kept, spacious and has the kind of views you just can’t stop staring at. Waking up to those views was such a treat. It felt private, quiet, luxurious and incredibly cosy. Roy was a thoughtful and communicative host, providing all the details we needed and going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making the apartment feel welcoming. It was the perfect base for exploring Paihia, Russell and Waitangi, but also ideal for just slowing down and soaking up the calm. We had a very pleasant stay here in Paihia with stunning water views. It was peaceful to come home to after touring all day. Easy check-in and good communication from the host. Would stay again!

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM
