We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was a very quiet and a wonderful place to see the northern lights! The cottage was warm and cozy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay! We would highly recommend!

We recently stayed in Tero’s amazing house and I can honestly say, it was one of the nicest Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. The house is beautifully decorated with lovely wooden beams. The ambiance is warm and cosy and it feels like a home away from home! The amenities are top-notch, including a fully equipped kitchen, living area and spotless bedding, and even a sauna, perfect for warming up after a day out in the snow. The location is great too! Nestled in a wooded area, it is just a short 10 min walk to Santa Clause Village, shops and restaurants. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Rovaniemi. I will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you Tero for your amazing hospitality!

We had four lovely nights at the property. We were very satisfied with the amenities, there are more utensils than we originally thought. The quiet location in the Pyhä National Park is excellent in 5 min, almost everything is reachable by car (supermarkets, rental, trails, ski resort, hiking routes, restaurants, and other activities). Our highlight in the apartment was the sauna and the proximity to nature. Noora was a very great hostess, she always responded very quickly if there were any questions. Gladly again, highly recommend.

We were a group of 6 adults, and we all fitted very nicely in this wonderful cabin next to the lake. The silence of the forest was at times solely interrupted by the chirping of the birds. We felt right at home in the cabin, which was equipped with all we needed. For instance, the cabin had lot of amenities to cook, and towels and linens were available as nicely described. Within drivable distance from Rovaniemi, it was the perfect choice to spend time in the Finnish nature. The fireplace next to the lake and the private sauna made our stay unique. We highly recommend this place for medium sized groups who enjoy outdoors and having privacy and alternate the visit to Rovaniemi attractions with calmness and slow paced life of Finnish mökki. We had no troubles in driving with a van through the muddy road that runs through the hill and forest to reach the cabin in spring time. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!

The accommodation was super nice. We were 4 friends and spent a week there. The peace and solitude made the house unique. But you definitely need a car! The kitchen was super well equipped with a toaster, coffee machine, oven and little things like oil, flour, sugar and tea. So really perfect! The fireplace in the evening made everything nice and cozy. But the highlight was that we could see the Northern Lights from the house and only had to drive 5 minutes to see the whole sky full of the lights! We would come back again and again! :)

The place was just as described and the communication also worked well when it was needed.

Nora's place is truly exceptional! The villa is beautifully maintained and fully equipped with everything you need to settle in comfortably. Located just 15–20 minutes from the city, it offers the perfect balance of convenience and peaceful seclusion. The area is also one of the best spots to catch the Northern Lights, we were lucky to see them on all four nights of our stay! We were a group of 12, including 4 kids, and the space was perfect for us. The kids had a blast playing in the backyard and exploring the nearby woods. Honestly, the villa itself was the highlight of our trip. Nora is an outstanding host - warm, responsive, and welcoming. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you're considering a stay in Rovaniemi , Villa Pahta is an absolute gem. Highly recommended for its charm, comfort, and unforgettable location!

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

We had a very nice time at this place! Wonderfully quiet location in beautiful surroundings, ideal to switch off and relax. For activities you often have to drive a while, but you are in the middle of nature and can just go outside at night and see the Northern Lights (if any are to be seen) - that was a very great experience! The sauna was also very pleasant (the hot tub was unfortunately frozen and out of order at the time). There is everything you need in the house and it is very cozy there. We were there with our two-year-old son, and he also felt very comfortable and had - like us - a lot of fun in the snow!

Amazing experience. The location is great for seeing auroras (we saw them!) and only half an hour from Rovaniemi. The lake is very beautiful. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy. The only issue we had was the door locks which are not intuitive. The host's communication was very good. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Very nice chalet where we could completely unwind! We were very sorry that we had only booked for one night. The host was also very reactive and responded within 5 minutes when we had a question about how the sauna works. We only notice one downside: there was only very little wood available for the fireplace, so we could only enjoy the fire for a while.

We had a lovely holiday in Sanna’s beautiful home. It was perfect for the whole family - even better than we had expected from the photos. The location was fantastic - only a few minutes drive to the town but so peaceful and right across the road from the lake. We enjoyed so many walks on the lake, ice fishing with the equipment Sanna provided, the hot tub and sauna and the youngest member of the family expended lots of energy on the bouncy castle in the basement. Sanna was so helpful with recommendations in advance. It has been a wonderful family holiday, aided by good weather, bright blue skies and great sights of the northern lights. The cottage was a short trip from the center and easy to find. The equipment in the cottage was really good and the hot tub was a highlight, especially for the children's trip :) You could also invest a little more in cleanliness outside the seasons, for example, dust balls under the beds. But this was the only downside, we would come again!

I definitely recommend Pauli's appartment. It's very easily accessible, close to the city center but also to the train station (it was important to me that I could walk there), and to the Arktikum. Everything was at a walkable distance which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is very calm, there's a grocery store nearby, and the appartement itself was very comfortable. Pauli was also a great host, thank you for a great trip!

We had a great time at Liisa's place. The cottage is in the middle of the forest without noise with an idyllic setting. Liisa is adorable and her place is perfect. I would highly recommend it!

I recommend Johanna's place. It's a small cabin with almost everything you need. The host is friendly and communicative. There is a lake right next to the cabin and a couple of roads/trails suitable for walking or running. Johanna also has some sports inventories in case you want to enjoy activities around.

It was all as described. The place was clean and well located. In a few minutes you can walk to the supermarket and downtown.

Beautiful cottage for family holidays. Very easy to access and at the same time alone in the forest. Beautiful walks directly on foot. We enjoyed the sauna and the northern lights visible from the garden if the weather is clear:)

I've stayed in numerous apartments across Europe and this is the best yet. All of the basics were taken care of but the attention to detail was excellent. The owner has clearly stayed in the apartment themselves to see what is needed, because it has everything you could possibly need and more. The owner was also very easy to contact and replied quickly. If I return to Rovaniemi I will certainly stay again, it became a home from home immediately. I recommend with no hesitation.

Beautiful clean structure, 2 minutes walk from the station and bus stop to reach the attractions. 15 minutes walk to the city center or shopping center. Milla was always kind and available to me for any questions I asked her. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved it! The cabin is totally homely and invites you to cozy games afternoons in front of the flickering oven. The kitchen is well equipped, even basic food such as flour, tea, various Spices, pasta, rice, etc. were available. Not unimportant if the nearest supermarket is 70km away. The lake is less than a five minute walk away, a perfect spot to look at the aurora lights. Unobstructed view in all directions, as far as the clouds allow ;-) No noteworthy light pollution in the area, a dream. Tero recommended various activities on request, so we met Janne, the reindeer in Unari. This was truly a special experience to stand among hundreds of reindeer who have been fuming around the food like wild. We felt like we were in an animal documentary;-) So if you like it secluded, this is the place to be:-D
