Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Rotterdam

We stayed a few nights with our 2 small kids, mainly to visit Amsterdam, and had a wonderful time. The house was great for us, very clean, enough space for everyone, very nice neighbourhood and restaurants and shops were close by bike or walking. We took the car to the nearest train station (Bussum Zuid) with free parking but without kids and less rain, walking would also have been easily possible. Jaap was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. We would happily come again!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and cozy cottage! It is totally lovingly and elaborately decorated and superbly equipped. We would have liked a little more cutlery and dishes, so as not to have to turn on the dishwasher after every meal. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, you can take wonderful long walks with the dogs or visit one of the surrounding towns/ villages. In the same street there is a nice restaurant, which is only open one day a week, so you should definitely make a reservation. We had a wonderful stay!

The place is really very cozy and inviting. Due to the existing Rituals products, the house also smelled very good. I can only report good things about the immediate surroundings. It is nice, quiet and idyllic, yet you can get to Zandvoort or Amsterdam within a good 20 minutes by car. Ruud gave us really helpful tips on this. In addition, we were personally accompanied by him from the parking lot to the accommodation, which makes you feel immediately positive. We really enjoyed our time here. :)

We were on site with our 2 children. The family felt very comfortable. Great loft which leaves nothing to be desired. The kitchen is mega well equipped. Goes is a great little town and the location of the loft is perfect. I'm sure we'll be back ❤️ Benjamin always helped us with questions right away. Great contact!

Our stay at Berdie went well beyond our expectations. This was not just a ‘stay’, it was a wonderful experience. The accommodation was as described and the floor-heating was superb. The wooden stove -while not necessary for heating- was very cozy. The place is surrounded by nature with excellent walking trails. Icing on the cake was the Sunday music performances on the premises. Both Berdie and her husband Gerard are terrific hosts and I highly recommend them. We look forward staying here again in the near future!

Great experience and will definitely visit again!

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

The house is an historical Dutch house, direct on a canal- absolutely quiet, charming neighborhood with chickens next door and a wonderful bakery right around the corner. The kitchen is on the ground floor, an elegant living- and dining room on the first floor with hardwood floors. Then VERY steep stairs (not for the weak of heart, small children or people with knee problems) going up to the 2nd floor with a big master bedroom and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds (not really good for us, a group of five 68-72 yr old women) and a nice bathroom with plenty of room. The top floor had a „double“ bed, but too narrow for two of us, and a small bath. I think 6 adults would be a tight squeeze in the house unless they‘re all young and cozy with each other. Schidam is a charming suburb of R‘damm, where we never would have gone if we hadn’t booked the house there. All in all, a WONDERFUL house and well worth the extra travel to and from R‘damm.

This felt like a perfect cozy home. Has everything you need and extremely well thought out and intuitive. Staying in this home feels like sharing a slice of life. We had just the best experience. Parking: 10/10 Neighborhood: 10/10 The home is comfy and is designed to make you go "ahhhh.. so nice". I would wish for everyone to experience such a lovely stay as we did.

A top accommodation, a whole experience

I had a wonderful stay! Bellatrix is a lovely and welcoming host, and the place is absolutely beautiful—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. I stayed with my dog Siva and we both loved the place and the outdoor space. Highly recommend!

Such a lovely stay! This place was exactly what we needed — peaceful, cozy, and away from all the city noise. The cottage is super cute, clean, and has everything you need. Loved waking up to the sounds of farm animals, and it’s close to some handy local grocers too. The host, Marit was amazing — super responsive and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unplug, recharge, and enjoy a bit of countryside bliss. We’d definitely come back!

It’s very good and charming place to stay

Accommodation is very good. Complete interior and good amenities. Comfortable furniture and good beds. If you go with several couples, you have to know each other well, because the toilet is accessible via the bedroom.

I had a wonderful 7 days at Nanda’s apartment. It was very comfortable, lots of light, quiet, and easy to access the city by bike (primary for me), bus and foot. Nanda was very responsive and kind. If you are new to the Netherlands, know that the train outside of the apartment comes once an hour (it goes to a fantastic railway museum that you can walk to) and is whisper quiet, so if you wonder if it’s loud to be near train tracks, it isn’t at all as the trains are electric. The morning and evening light is plentiful and I just had a very lovely stay. The kitchen also is very functional and I did most of my meals in the apartment. Overall really great stay.

Margor and Steven are nice and attentive, they give us a lot of helpful information about the area. The location is near the Zaandam train station and convenient when travelling to Amsterdam city centre. A very nice and cosy place to stay in NL.

Beautiful house! Very welcoming welcome, had a great weekend with 12 friends.

Martijn’s place is just wonderful! Perfect for a weekend to celebrate my birthday with my friends in a peaceful and beautiful environment. The house is just gorgeous and everything is done so that your stay is comfortable and wonderful ! You have everything you need and more :) The hot tub and the sauna were great, a little feel of Sweden for sure! Martijn is very nice and helpful and very responsive! He gives great tips also for what to do in the area which we enjoyed a lot. Will definitely try to come back in the future !!

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

We had a lovely stay and Anneke or her daughter were always available for questions during the stay. The house is very nicely decorated, everything was clean, good amenities and the pool and Jacuzzi were great. I am more than happy to recommend the place.

We had a great time. We loved the place, everything was perfect as in the photos. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and good location. We really enjoyed the amenities like sauna and bikes. The hosts are very kind and communication was easy and efficient.

The house is super nice on the inside and is in a fantastic place. At the edge of the forest you will experience all peace and space. Nearby, there is plenty to see and do, including beautiful walks in nature and many cafes and restaurants with terraces. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

It was such a pleasure and privilege to stay at this home. The house is worthy of museum status — a gem of art nouveau glass and tiles. But it also features a fantastic modern kitchen, great WiFi, and comfortable beds. In other words, the best of both historic and modern. The location is perfect, with steps-away access to transit, groceries, dining, and more. Adjacent to a canal, the site is also a natural haven, filled with nighttime sounds and daytime bird life. We were treated to a goose family with multiple goslings for part of our stay! Washer/dryer are great, as was the tv and other appliances. And finally, the decor is stylish and interesting….perfectly themed for those interested in travel. Having stayed at nearly 100 Airbnbs, this was one of our all-time favorites.
