Explore beautiful beaches, historic castles and wonderful countryside and end the day by a log-burning stove in the lounge. During the summer months enjoy a glass of wine or a BBQ in the pretty cottage garden. Our comfortable converted barn is the perfect base to explore the coast and countryside of Northumberland. Comfortable and stylish living room/kitchen with working log burner. (photos were taken before the flue was fitted) Well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and granite work surfaces. Lovely kingsized bedroom, oak flooring, quality linen and towels supplied with complimentary toiletries . Pretty country style bathroom with bath and shower over. Children are very welcome and we can supply a cot (no linen) and a high chair for babies, a z- bed with linen for older children is available at no extra charge. There is a very comfortable sofa bed with a pocket sprung mattress in the living area which will sleep 2 adults for the odd night or a short break. One well behaved dog welcome £10 extra charge Guests have their own private garden and west facing seating area and access to plenty of parking. There is also an extra lawned area separate from the owners garden if they wish to use it for BBQ or children playing Free membership for 4 guests (adults or children) at the nearby Linden Hall Hotel for the spa and leisure club is available for guests during their stay. There is a swimming pool, sauna, a small gym and hot tub and there are often some discounts on spa treatments. There is also a golf club but this is not included in the membership and green fees apply. We want our guests to have their privacy but are friendly and welcoming and happy to help and provide information during their stay. Swallowtails barn is in a farming hamlet outside the pretty village of Longframlington. There are lovely country walks on the doorstep Take an easy stroll to reach good pubs serving food an award-winning grocery shop, artisan bakery and coffee shop. Then drive along pretty winding lanes to explore the beautiful beaches and villages on the Northumberland coast. Visit historic castles at Alnwick and Bamburgh or spend a day at nearby Cragside Hall and gardens Excellent butchers also in village There is plenty of parking on site. It is an easy walk to the village, taking about 15 minutes and there is a local taxi available operated by one of the neighbours which can be very useful. Regular buses run to Alnwick and Morpeth There is a mainline station at Alnmouth approx 10 -15 mins drive Swallowtails is adjoining the owners property but has its own separate entrance garden and seating area. ‘Bracken Shepherd’s Hut at Pondihengery Glampsite’

Pondihengery Glampsite is a small family run site in a rural area, just outside Rothbury, Northumberland. The site sits on the edge of a stone circle with stunning views. We welcome up to two well behaved dogs. Please do not let your dogs on the bed. Introducing our delightful Bracken Shepherds hut. Comfortable double bed with dining area that doubles up as a small bed suitable for a child or smaller adult (size 5’6”x 2’6”) We are sure that you will have a memorable stay and book in again!

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Located in the Northumberland Village of Netherton this 2 bed cottage located within the Northumberland national Park. The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop.
