Great host! She welcomed us warmly and showed us the property. The swimming pool is kinda panoramic and quite big. We could also do barbecue in the evening :) Dogs are allowed in and this is a plus

La Baita nel Bosco is simply enchanting. Located in the upper part of the village in a secluded position, surrounded on 3 sides by the woods and overlooking the valley from which you can admire the sunset, enjoy the silence and spot the fireflies when it gets dark! The village of Caramanico is less than a 10-minute walk away and is therefore very convenient even if you want to reach the center of the village. The location is strategic for visiting almost every corner of that paradise called Majella and, right outside the house, there is the Orfento valley, one of the most extraordinary reserves in the area. Marcella was an exceptional host: friendly, helpful, kind, full of care and attention and lavish with advice on places to visit and things to do (in the house you will find many brochures, magazines and maps useful for the purpose). The house is very comfortable, cozy, the cleanliness really impeccable in every room. We couldn't have chosen better. It was a wonderful vacation, thank you Marcella!!

This home is a genuine historic Italian home. It was a peaceful adventure. We walked and hiked everywhere, there are many well traveled and marked hiking trails into the mountains. You hear nature around you and have the most gorgeous view. The house is extremely cozy and has many features that are full of character. We made homemade meals from the abundant fruits, veggies, and nuts around the property. If you are looking to step into a storybook back in time with cobbled streets and historic buildings, this is the place. One needs to have a sense of adventure to fully appreciate this property. We took in the most gorgeous sunsets from the top yard. We hiked and explored the most beautiful and unexpected landscapes. No need to walk far, the town itself is a wonder. Go see Gabriella at the Taverna. She will cook you the most delicious meal and make you feel right at home. This property is truly a cozy home. If you are wanting to rejuvenate your tired soul, this place will do it.

we could book and check in very spontaneously. Antonio responded very quickly. We are on the road with the bikes and our dog. Due to the cold, we are in the accommodation, which is located directly on the Appennino bike path. The supermarket is also easily accessible by bike 4 km away and in the village there is a minimarket with fresh bread. The bar is also very cozy and creates a nice atmosphere. We felt comfortable and warmed up well:-) Mama Angela, was also available at all times if you need anything.

My partner and I came here as nature tourists after I visited and fell in love with Pettorano sul Gizio during a work trip in May 2023. The accommodation itself was clean and homely, and the views spectacular. We spent a lot of time sitting on the living room balcony watching the birds, and even a wild boar family on the last night! If we were at the accommodation we were probably on the balcony, and we got up at 5am some days to enjoy the dawn chorus. The beauty of this place and its abundance of wildlife cannot be overstated. The town itself is beautiful and we enjoyed the local food and drink on offer from the nearby shop and café. There are many walks to do in the area and local towns to explore. The place was a home away from home and we are sure to return!

Lovely place, great stay and good communication.

The apartment is in a beautiful and peaceful location, and is easy to find. It’s spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, and the view from the terrace over the lake is just stunning. Antonella and Dario are exceptional hosts, responding to messages and fixing any problems almost instantly. They definitely went above and beyond to make our stay really comfortable.

Efisio's accommodation is equipped with everything you need for your stay, spacious and clean. The garden is very large and well-kept, our dog was able to enjoy the large space freely. From the house you can hear the stream flowing. Great place to get away from the chaos of the city. We met Efisio and his parents, very kind and welcoming people. Efisio was always an available host, always and quickly responding to messages, he met us for all our needs, provided us with very useful information on the surroundings to visit, and was flexible with check-in and check-out times. For the self check-in, thanks to the precise directions provided by Efisio previously, we had no problems. I recommend Efisio's accommodation to everyone! We hope to have the chance to come back!

Lovely peaceful setting with great pool and terrace area provided everything we needed for a home from home holiday. The only negative thing was a lack of microwave. The house was well stocked with things like toilet rolls and cleaning products and we were given a lovely welcome basket of locally produced food items, wine and beers and even a delicious cake made by the host. During our stay we needed to contact the host and they responded quickly. The gardens were very well maintained and totally private with automatic gates. The road leading up to the house is very steep so a powerful car is needed but all in all we had a great holiday.

Great house, quietly located with lots of privacy, great views. A few degrees cooler than on the beach and a slight wind, so even in August high summer it was great to bear. Lots of seating options around the house. Mega great pool with diving board. The house offers everything you need. We would definitely come back.

A great place to stay, well located and walking distance to the town square and restaurants. Correspondence was great, including restaurant suggestions. The pool is excellent, photos don’t do it justice! The property was a lot bigger than expected. Only negative is that the first floor single beds aren’t singles they aren’t suitable for adults and the lift broke, which was a bit of an inconvenience for my father in law. However, the cots and bed bumpers provided for kids were good. Overall a great stay and would recommend!

We loved everything about this place. It’s a beautiful building which has been exceptionally well restored. Great location. Extremely well equipped with everything you could want. Pool is a particular highlight.

Heartily recommended! Such a wonderful place with a view of the mountains that is second to none. The host is very helpful as well. One thing to keep in mind is that the road to the house is quite bumpy, but once you get the hang of it, it's fine

We stayed for almost two weeks at the house, set in a stunning hillside plot overlooking Tagliacozzo. Paolo welcomed us on arrival, giving us a tour of the beautiful gardens and an overview of the house's features. Paolo and Aurora do not speak English, but with Google translate we were able to communicate very effectively. The owners live in the ground floor of the property but are not intrusive, so the place feels very private. We travelled to lots of different places in Abruzzo and Lazio, including a trip to Rome by train. The train station in Tagliacozzo is only a few minutes away and the train takes you to the centre of Rome in 1hr 20. Tagliacozzo is a lovely town. Make sure to spend some time there too, stopping for a coffee, experiencing the market day (Thursday) or walking up to the top of the hill, winding through the houses and churches built into the rock. Thank you to Paolo and Aurora for their warm hospitality (and the water, wine, eggs and grapes!)
