The place is big, finished, and very nice. The location is beautiful, panoramic, with a small garden in front and overlooking the valley of Cutigliano, the place is very strategic to go skiing to the customs reachable on foot, or to take a ride in the village or nearby. The host, Gabriele, is a exquisite and attentive person, we arrived on the first day late at night due to a travel problem and he did not do the slightest problem. It is constantly reachable, responds immediately to any request and, no small thing, he gave us many useful suggestions even passionately for the weekend, even on the road! Magnificent experience, highly recommended.

The apartment is small but very pleasant and comfortable because the space has been perfectly used with predominantly wooden furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped and the cookware is new and plentiful, which is rare in accommodations! The courtyard in front of the front door is not great, while the balcony of the room enjoys a beautiful open view of the mountains. Roberto is very helpful. We just had to clarify a small issue regarding the cost of cleaning that was not indicated in the listing, but it was resolved quickly. I highly recommend this place.

Cutigliano was a quiet and beautiful location. While we often drove 2 hours to go to major destinations, there was so much to do nearby as well. I found one of my favourite things to do was to explore the village and trials nearby. The people were wonderfully kind and the local food was amazing. Highly reccomend this location for a longer stay in italy. We live in an apartment at home, so the house felt spacious and luxurious, but at the same time, with authenticity. We got used to living with the gorgeous chruch bells across the street... everything was a joy! We stayed with a 6 month old baby which was great. If our small child was walking or crawling by themselves there are lots of stairs, some without rails which should be considered. Solange was exceptional. She was waiting outside when we arrived to help us understand how to bring in our luggage and park our car. She was quick to respond and had lots of suggestions for things nearby. Overall one of my fave trips!

I chose Mark’s place because it was right between the two centres that make up the Bagni di Lucca and was certainly better value than staying in town. The location is right by the river, on the upper level of the building, so you can open the windows and enjoy the view. There is a bus stop just 100 metres away that links with the railway with a fairly regular service, or you could continue all the way to Lucca itself. The apartment was very well equipped, which is great if you want to self-cater and there is a Conad Supermarket about a 10 minute walk away, which is well stocked with meat, cheeses, wine, bread, vegetables and necessaries. The town itself is probably about a 20 minute walk away, with various restaurants. A shout out has to go to Mark, who was so helpful when l left a suitcase on the train. He was so understanding and concerned and even checked at Lucca station to see if it had been returned and suggested places to replace lost items. This exceeded my expectations!
