Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in River Wye

My second stay, very peaceful and relaxing location, everything provided and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and very friendly hosts, made me feel right at home. Very sorry to leave but hope to return again!

Lorely’s place was the perfect long weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. She and her husband were friendly, flexible, helpful and always so responsive to messages. The home is as beautiful as the photos - such a wonderfully interesting space! Unwinding in front of the fire every evening was on of our favourite things to do. We also fell totally in love with Lulu the cat. She is an outdoor cat and apparently happy to stay away if guests aren’t up for her to be inside, but we simply adored her and loved when she graced us with visits. Cuddly and delightfully chill. Our 4 year old managed the curvy staircase well and thought it was fun to sleep on the pull out. Beds were comfortable and it stayed a good temp all night. Fridge is small and there were limited basic ingredients available so not really set up for a full food shop, but it was fine for a short trip. Shop is only a 5 min drive away and easy enough to grab dinner from every day. Loved our stay - thank you!

Jane was extremely welcoming and pleasant. She was very attentive throughout the stay and always checked if everything was OK. The location was fantastic - just a few hundred metres from the cathedral and with the added bonus of parking very close to the cabin. The property is small as described but it's ideal for a short stay.

What can I say? From the moment I arrived, Naomi was warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at home. She was full of great recommendations for coffee shops and nearby restaurants (there are a number of great ones) and knowledgable about fun day trips and local must-sees. Along with her husband Dave and son Michael, Naomi made my stay a lovely and stress-free one and I would wholeheartedly recommend their home for a stay in Cardiff. Thank you so much, Naomi. You couldn't possibly have been a more gracious host. :)

We loved The Cowsheds. We have been meeting each year as a group since 2015 and The Cowsheds is up there with the best. It ticked all the boxes and Georgie was very helpful and friendly.

A wonderful host who is happy to go out of her way to make you feel welcome and help out whenever she can. The farm is the ultimate peaceful retreat, with only the occasional cow or lamb punctuating the serenity. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, the breakfasts are amazing. Can't find anything negative to say about anything.

Another fantastic stay at Clare Cottage. Absolutely beautiful. Good communication and instructions from Catharine, super helpful. Idyllic, picture postcard place to stay and two great pubs doing fantastic food within a couple of minutes walk! Thank you again. Will definitely be back. - Jason and Laura.

Lovely clean gorgeous barn, ideal location with everything we needed to spend the weekend without leaving but equally we enjoyed walking to two local pubs. Adam communicated well and was accommodating to our needs. Perfect weekend break

Annette was so friendly. She really made me feel at home. She did everything she could to make my stay as fabulous as she could. I can’t recommend it enough.

My wife and I had a wonderful night at Nicky’s place (wished we could have stayed another day). Her place was exactly as described and the location was peaceful and relaxing. We had great conversations with her and her partner Andrei, and learned a bit about the Welsh culture. We also got a walk with her super cute Corgi, Kezzi (spl?) which was an additional highlight. If you want a quiet and peaceful location in the Welsh countryside you won’t go wrong here, we’d happily return.

Very close to my office friendly host decent room and having breakfast in the price was great so overall I was delighted to stay there and hope to return soon.

We had a lovely stay in this cosy apartment. It was clean and comfortable with every everything you could possibly want! The only drawback was a bit of road noise quite early in the morning, but wasn’t a problem for us. Jilly is a lovely hostess and we’ll definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Heather’s place. She goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome and comfortable. The place was very clean and comfortable with amazing views from our room. On top of everything the breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices and specially her home made biscuits was the cherry on top.

A really beautiful hideaway in a perfect spot. The accomodation was fantastic: pristine, private, peaceful, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Lovely to wake up and listen to the church bells in the distance on Sunday morning. The breakfast delivered to the room was also perfect. Rachel and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time in Stuart and Jaynes place. They were both very discreet and always available to help. The rooms were very comfy, the place was spotless, breakfast was extensive. Stuart brought us into town and back twice, which was really above and beyond what we expected. Looking forward to welcoming them to france to return the hospitality!

The most inviting and wonderful place. Lovely atmosphere and very beautiful. Julie is a perfect host and everything was absolutely fabulous. Crickhowell is the perfect starting point for walks. Town is really nice. Breakfast was a so good! We will happily be back.

Beautifully decorated cottage, which was immaculately clean on arrival. We’d been left groceries including local bread, milk, butter, eggs and a chocolate bunny as it was Easter, which was really thoughtful. The beds were made ready and there were plenty of towels. Lots of thoughtful extras including coffee, a cafetière, toiletries, also laundry and dishwasher tablets were included. The cottage is in a lovely location, just outside the village and surrounded by countryside. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Niall was very friendly and communicated well about check-in.

A beautiful location for a quite getaway with easy access to stunning walks. Sam and Tara are friendly helpful hosts providing a simple but well appointed and comfortable airbnb.

We would give 10 Stars- if possible :) We had a wonderful time at Arlene’s charming cottage in Lechlade, perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage is cozy, beautifully decorated, and spotless, with many thoughtful touches like bathrobes, slippers, a fridge, tea maker, and coffee machine – everything you need to feel right at home. The rose garden is absolutely lovely and adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic – generous, delicious, and prepared with so much care. Arlene is a truly lovely and welcoming host, and her little dog Daisy is simply adorable. We would love to come back – highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about The Little Bothy and Claire as a host. The house is perfectly outfitted with everything you might need, and the details are delightful. The bedding and towels are dreamy. The location is picture-perfect—the path to the village is so charming and convenient! Claire met us at the house and had all kinds of welcome treats for us, including a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. The eco-friendly environment was much appreciated, right down to the locally-made soaps, shampoos, etc. We all woke up our final morning immeasurably sad to be leaving. Claire and her family are just the best, and The Little Bothy is perfection. You won’t want to leave!

A beautiful cosy hut, perfect for a one night stop. Wonderfully warm welcome from Alison. Everything was set up for our baby too, including an extra adult size breakfast for him which was a lovely surprise! Spotless all round and very functional space with literally everything we needed including nappy bags and a clothes horse! Highly recommended, we'd definitely stay again 😊
